It is not often that a General ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” however valorous ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” has his courage in the battlefield accepted as as a token of his prowess as a politician. Indeed, in most cases where such a transformation has occurred, it is the use of arms that has settled the issue. In Sri Lanka we witness an extraordinary development ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the exploitation of a warped public sentiment by a famous ex-soldier to achieve ends that would otherwise be impossible. Let us be very clear ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” it is overweening ambition and ruthlessness that are the hallmarks of the General in his new guise.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Combine this with his fame as a conquistador and the vanquisher of the Tamil Tigers and the route is clear for any bankrupt political movement to ride on his back to success.
It is well known that the UNP under RW was prepared to abandon its political Sovereignty and the dictates of history to ride on the success of the General ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” so great was his fame as the future conqueror of corruption and political ineptitude. He (the General) was hailed as the New Political Messiah and the only warrior capable of slaying the incumbent Dragon. Alas, the General has foresworn deals with the Elephant ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” no surprise given the imperiousness of the man and his contempt for politicians. He is, thus. a crusader with the effrontery that makes him believe that crowds will follow him if only he starts walking in the direction of the castle of his sworn enemy. Surprisingly, he has no difficulty in gathering support because the desire to ditch the President and effect regime-change is the wish of powerful forces both within and outside Sri Lanka. Indeed, the greater part of the UNP will abjure the current leadership and join the General.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ More significantly, the International Conspiracy against Sri Lanka ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the Diasporic Tamils, the Indian Ealamists and the White Imperialists will gang up using the Fonseka Dreadnaught to bring Sri Lanka to its knees.
That a powerful coalition of forces favour the removal from power of the President (MR) is clear to even an apolitical bystander. This dangerous movement has no grass-roots political support nor can it command votes to defeat the President in free and fair elections. Yet, it is a fact that in todayƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s world nations and governments are undermined and even removed from power by external manipulation ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” by foreigners rousing populations and backing dissidents who would not stand a chance if the free will of the populace is exercised. Sarath Fonseka ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the ex-General – is in this category ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” a puppet with a super-ego manipulated by those who find Sri Lankan nationalism a danger to their own subversive agendas. He is now a celebrity and newsmen ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” both local and foreign hang on his every word. This is not because pearls of wisdom fall from his lips ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” it is the joy of seeing a disruptor forging ahead to make Sri Lanka once again a sick and violent nation torn apart by dissident forces

Please can I remind Mr. R. Chandrasoma, Sarath Fonseka in no longer a General. The title was taken away by the military court and he was jailed. It was not a civil court that took away his Title, general

The idea is not to win government by ballot. The dissidents will operate a small scale subversive terror outfit. Then USA and EU will want to liberate Sri Lanka from the elected government. The UN votes will be counted, terrorists will be armed and we will have another carnage.
With a 1500 billion dollar security budget, USA can throw some bones at Sri Lankan subversives. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. All Sri Lankans must act to protect the elected government from subversive, Defacto CIA agents. Remember how USA used General Ayub Khan to destroy Pakistan.

If Gonseka is to become anybody, there are things to do which ONLY he can do. Talking without action won’t do anything to him.

Tamils and the Sri Lankan governing party are both very similar in behaviour. both need some one to bash in order to cover up their insecurity, incompetency, mismanagment, corruption and simply the mayhem that they are going through right now.

General Fonseka’s ranks upto the Major General was not given by this govt. He earned those ranks over the years. His Lt. General and General Ranks were given by this govt. Even if the SL president denies that, it is in public domain that both the Sri Lankan govt and the Indian govt praised him as the best Army Commander in the world and one of the Finest Generals respectively.
Politicians can take the titles back because of their own mental suffering. Otherwise, they can not say we did a mistake. Even if General Fonseka did nothing, the whole world and the Sri Lankan public knows the truth. Govt and Journalists can deny what he deserves and they can erase records. But, what is peoples’ heart, no one can erase. One day, those things come out and people will recognize.

If Fonseka was not met Gotabaya with Ananda Collage old school mate accidently at Hambanthota Tsunami housing construction meeting when MR was the Prime Minister, Fonseka would have ended just another Army officer within few days before his retirement. Sri Lankans are well aware the contribution made by President, Defense Secretary, Army, Navy, Air force, Police and most importantly General Public standing behind the Govt: with full support. Its only the Gonseka is telling that he is the man who did everything when he was in China with son-in-law and family members at the last days finalizing a big Arm deal.

As long as our people, including HE king Lorenzo, beleive this FOOL was a smart ex-war hero, we are doomed.
What he neeeds if a small number of FOOLISH followers to belive he is a war hero and smart.

It is a sad period for Sri Lanka. A government that is blatantly corrupt and predatory, The countries economy in a right royal mess, Governance at its worst on slippery slope towards a failed state but only hope the country has is Fonseka. There is no point attacking Fonseka or praising him. The country should lament the void of a leadership with a vision , honourable and caring.

It seems Fonseka has an insatiable ego. And he seems ready for a long haul. Such people knows no bounds and couldn’t careless how they get to their goal so long as they get to it. Just the qualities Gota may have seen in him when appointed as the commander of the army. I am sure such are also the qualities of the man that F UK the US too wanted to put forward as their puppet if and when they effect a ‘regime’ change here.
I sincerely hope Rajapakses know what they are doing!

From 1925 to 1956 it took 31 years in politics before for Solomon West Ridgeway Dias Bandaranaike from MMC. MP. Opposition Leader to become Prime Minister.
Similarly for Junius Richard Jayewardene from 1939 to 1977, it took 38 years in politics to become President.
For Ranasinghe Premadasa it took 37 years in politics to become President.
Now we have Gonseka who took to politics after retirement claiming sole right to victory to the war and wants to become President right away.

Gonseka was born in 1950. Upto 2012 its 62 + minimum 31 = 93. We do not want a man of 93 years old to be the president. What Mangala told in 2008 is correct not suitable to lead Salvation Army.

Every Leader after Mrs. B were corrupt thieves. Who ever comes politicians who become leaders from the present gang in the parliament they will never contribute to the country. Instead, they build fortunes for them and their families. Inbreeding of these thieves never allows good leadership – material.

I can prove you his corruptness ( I have done my own research) but I cannot prove any other politician’s corruptness.
I acknoledge the likliness of corruption in all of them ( including rajapakses).

Fonseka’s daughter approached a certain US senator to coerce Clinton into forcing his release. Fonseka will be obliged to these hypocrites, now. Yes, he is the ‘friendly regime change’ that the US is seeking in Sri Lanka. He is just a pawn.
