Karunanidhi: Who or what is he, and is it this person’s business to worry about Sri Lanka’s Northern Province elections

The Hindu on July 11 reports that when Karunanidhi was asked about the Sri Lankan PresidentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s statement that the election to the Northern Provincial Council will be held in September 2013, the octogenarian ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-doubts (President) RajapaksaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s remarksƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

President Rajapakse is the Executive Head of State of Sri Lanka, and was elected by the majority of the people who are eligible to vote. Sri Lanka, furthermore, is an independent sovereign nation and has no obligation to satisfy the whims and fancies of individuals who once were in the limelight through the follies of the illiterates who gave them power and boosted their egos.

There are myriads of problems in Tamil Nadu for the solution of which Karunanidhi could spend whatever energy is left in his old body. For instance, the dalits have been at the bottom end of the social strata as long as one could remember and they deserve a better deal than what they get now.

The Tamils in Sri Lanka are not an oppressed minority by any categorisation. Over 40% of the population in Colombo and its suburbs is Tamil, and a substantial proportion among them holds lucrative positions in banks, hotels and travel, and owns prestigious real estate that many other communities may only dream of. If there are Tamils in the North whose movements are restricted, they obviously would be those under the surveillance of the armed forces because of their past ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” and may be, even present – connections to the LTTE that destroyed the country for nearly three decades.

Rajapakse dealt with the LTTE menace admirably in spite of the rest of the world saying that Pirabhaharan was a master strategist and the LTTE could never be defeated militarily. He knew quite well what to do and when it should be done.

Holding elections to the Northern Provincial Council is not an earth-shattering issue. If the President of Sri Lanka feels that 2013 is the best time, so be it. On the other hand, if he wishes to hold them later, obviously on the counsel of his advisors, that too should be fine for Sri Lanka. After all, it is Rajapakse of Sri Lanka, and not Karunanidhi of Tamil Nadu, who has to deal with the problems in Sri Lanka: the Northern Province is a mere province in a country that has eight other provinces.

In other words, IF UNHRC, etc. create trouble, SL may postpone this again. By September 2013, UNHRC nonsense would have ended. If not the election will be postponed.

Karunainidi complains about killing a terrorist. We clap! That is the difference.

The “hidden meaning” of the move is DEATH TO TAMIL ELAM!

KARUNANIDHI, (Who is he ?) He is a Pole Cat unable to defecate into dry wells anymore, because they are full.
KARUNANIDHI, (What is he ?) He is an old frustrated moron with EDF, unable to get the Dalits to clean up after him.
KARUNANIDHI, Oh No ! It is not his business to worry about Sri Lanka’s Nothern Province Election. MR will take care of that.

KARUNANIDHI !!!! CAN YOU PLEASE STOP BEING A PEST TO SRI LANKA ? SORRY TO SEE YOU SUFFERING FROM SENILE DECAY. SRI LANKANS ARE TRULY SORRY FOR YOUR SAD STATE.

This tamil nadu (tamil country) racist expansionist joker is at his latter stage may be now he is suffering from Alzheimer disease. If he is so much worried about tamils in Sri Lanka why can’t he invite tamils to come to tamil country (tamil nadu).
Why can’t he accommodate another two million tamils to his tamil country’s 65 million tamil population. Tamils have ancestral rights to go back to tamil country. If he opens his doors to tamil from north and east his problem is over and our problem also over. Then he can have elections as much as he likes. It is the best solution for both countries.
But this joker though he pour crocodile tears about tamils in Sri Lanka he never allows even tamils to tamil country. In 1983 more than 100,000 tamils who lived in Sri Lanka gone to tamil country (tamil nadu). But still more than 29 years those tamils live as refugees in their ancestral country. Compare to Karunanidhi western countries are way better treat tamils in their countries. Even they knew tamil migrants are economic refugees they grant citizenship within two years. But father of tamils still keep his tamil children for 29 years in camps.

  5. A. Sooriarachi Says:

Why on earth are we giving so much prominance to these incompetent and corrupt Tamilnadu politicians who are engaged mainly in uttering inflamatory comments on SriLanka, though they are not elected representatives of any SriLankan citizen, whether tamil or not. These Tamilnadu politicians are arousing racism in the region and could be considered as war criminals for training and supporting the LTTE war criminals, who killed and tortured more SriLankan tamils than even the IPKF or any other force.

  6. Fran Diaz Says:

ltte killed 597 Sinhala villagers and countless others, all Sri Lankan citizens, including thousands of Tamils, in a mad quest. It was senseless killing. What does K’naidhi have to say to such atrocities ? Nothing. Fighting Tamil Nadu’s Caste/Poverty Wars on Lanka soil suits him.
