Barbaric Animal Sacrifices at Munneswaram Must Stop
Posted on August 28th, 2012

Dilrook Kannangara

Evolution has its ways of dragging some creatures backwards! Animal sacrifice has a long and ugly past running to thousands of years in the world, especially in Africa. All major religions mention events of animal sacrifice thousands of years ago. However, since then, humanity has moved on supported by the main four religions in the world that oppose animal sacrifice. Apart from religion, there is morality. Animal sacrifice is totally against morality. Although vegetarianism is gaining popularity, mixing vegetarianism with the need to stop animal sacrifices is a nonstarter. There is a wide gap between the vegetarian extreme and needless animal killing (sacrifice). Most earthlings fall into the safe and happy middle. The goddess of Munneswaram never demanded any animal sacrifice from anyone. Only humans with twisted desires have created this barbarous hype.

Unfortunately there still remain unevolved or partially evolved apes that think animal sacrifice is acceptable in this day and age. They are still living in the Hunting Era unable to move with the times. The world has moved ahead from what it was a thousand years ago and those who cannot evolve with the world shall become part of history.

Munneswaram animal sacrifice event has caused public debate. There is nothing to debate about it. Needless killing of animals for ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sacrificeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ is an uncivilised barbaric act and it must stop. It brings great shame to this nation and obvious bad karma for those who believe in karmic effects. For the convenience of those who support or donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t oppose animal sacrifice, a number of stupid excuses has been invented.

One argument is animals are anyway killed for food and that is equal to animal sacrifice. This is an absurd argument. In the case of food, animals are killed for one purpose ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” food. Omnivorous humans partake meat in their diet and therefore killing animals for food is justified in almost all societies and nations. Animals are killed as per the need for food demand; not just in arbitrary manner to please a deity.

It borders lunacy when some try to justify needless animal slaughter in temples by quoting how Buddhist monks chant ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”pirithƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ at ceremonies at the Fisheries Corporation. The Fisheries Corporation does not arbitrarily slaughter animals to please a blood thirsty deity or a human; instead it aims to increase the protein intake of the people using legal fishing techniques that also provide employment to many.

Equalling all animal killings is therefore an absurd comparison. All major meat and fish producing countries in the world have illegalised animal ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sacrificeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. It clearly proves these two things are worlds apart. Intention is another differentiator between the two. The intention of the killer at Munneswaram temple is to kill the animal to please his/her blood thirst, morbid cravings and an imaginary deity whereas in the case of a butcher or a fisherman, the intention is to provide food for the people and earn a living for their families.

In food industry animals are killed by experienced butches with least suffering to the creature. This is not the case in needless animal ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”sacrificeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. At Munneswaram, a large number of animals are most brutally killed by devotees untrained in butchery. Put in short, this barbaric practice turn a large number of people into butchers who remorselessly take life with the intention of satisfying their morbid desires. Those who can remorselessly and needlessly kill animals to satisfy morbid cravings of self and\or a deity, are well capable and even inclined to take human life.

This is a well-accepted fact included in military discipline in some countries particularly in Latin American countries where human life has little apparent value. For instance in Colombia, commando training involves every trainee stabbing a dog to death and sometimes eating its meat. It conditions young trainees to become remorseless killers as needed by their profession. Even that is done under trained supervisors! Most serial killers have atoned their ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”abilitiesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ killing domestic animals including chickens, cats, dogs and goats at a young age before graduating to psychopathic killers. They associate taking life not with a livelihood but with gratification as with the devotees at Munneswaram.

There is no Hindu dictate that requires animal sacrifice. Using Hinduism to justify the blood lust of those who engage in this barbaric practice is baseless. If there is any justification why donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t they sacrifice cows? Venerating cows and killing other animals for sacrifice makes no sense. If the deities are pleased with the sacrifice of small animals, a cow sacrifice is sure to delight them!

Another justification is that this practice was in operation in the island for thousands of years. There is absolutely no evidence of any such practice in the island. The Munneswaram shrine was built in the 11th century but didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t continue as it was frequently dismantled by various groups. There is no valid evidence of its associated practices taking place earlier. Humans took to agriculture over 15,000 years ago in this island as evidenced from artefacts found in Horton Plains and elsewhere. Alongside this development, any animal sacrifice that previously may have existed ceased.

Finally, animal sacrifice is illegal as per the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act No. 17 of 1907 and as amended by Act No.s 19 of 1912, 43 of 1917, 9 of 1919, 23 of 1921, 16 of 1927, 17 of 1930, 12 of 1945 and 22 of 1955. Customary neglect of the law is no ground for the justification of the practice. Thankfully, the colourful and controversial Minister, Silva, prevented the annual animal slaughter at Munneswaram last year. Many regard it as the only known good deed by him. All Sri Lankans with a moral compass appeal to him and others to prevent this barbarous practice and erase it once and for all.

However, this year the barbaric practice will not be hindered due to petty political reasons. As elections draw near, especially the Eastern Provincial council election where the Tamil vote is crucial for the ruling party, any act of barbarity will be tolerated.

Not only animals, even humans will be sacrificed to win the election!

Politicians donƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t want people to rock the boat. Those who engage in this barbaric practice have picked the perfect time for their devilish ritual.

The Constitution places supreme significance on Buddhism. It is unthinkable that this nation which is supposedly governed with Buddhist values tolerates needless animal sacrifices for the morbid pleasures of humans and their deities.

Munneswaram animal sacrifice will be held on September 1st. Anyone with any shade of morality must oppose this barbaric act. Giving the whole episode an ethnic outlook by some sections of Tamils must be condemned.

Let the whole world know how Tamils play the victim on one hand and engage in most barbaric practices on the other.

We should stop this barbaric act!

Anyone who brings up other issues are nothing more than subtle supporters of this practice or afraid that such barbaric acts in their religious festivals will be the next to be opposed.

For once Mervin Silva did something good, its time for him to act again!

  2. Lorenzo Says:

The video clip (last link) is horrible. These are criminals. We should have killed Tamil nationalists like this.

  3. wasantha Says:

Whenever Buddhists or Hindus into any slghtest wrong the world is howling at the top of their voices condemning it. Is it because they are non violent. They won’t send you a suicide bomber. Animal sacrifices are done by much more larger scale by Muslims, Christians, Jews and so on. Aren’t Halal killing of animals done at abeteurs daily at much more larger scale. How many animals are killed at Christmas, at Ramazan, and in Jewish festivals. This is all Judeo-Christial double standards. Any animal killing is bad whether it is to eat or for satisfy a God. Don’t try to be holier than thou? Most of the animals in Christian and Muslim and Jewish countries have gone into extinction because these religions have sanctioned these animal cruelities.

  4. wasantha Says:

Why the world so united against whenever a slightest wrong done by Buddhist or Hindus. The animal sacrifices are done not only by Hindus; it is done much more larger scale by Muslims, Christians and Jews. Why Halal killing of animals are done every day at abeteurs all over the world. This is all Western well documentd double standard in any thing oriental. How many animals are killed in the name of Jesus at Christmas, at Ramzan.
This is all because Hindus are non violent.

  5. Dilrook Says:

    Wasantha

Killing animals for sacrifice is different to killing animals for food. As I have explained, the two cannot be compared.

Almost all the countries allow killing animals for food but most of them don’t allow animal sacrifice. The law is very clear. Morality is clearer.

Hindus and Buddhists (84% of the population in 1981) consume more fish, egg and meat combined than Muslims and Christians (16% of the population in 1981) in this country due to the numbers. However, that is not a problem at all because the intention is to satisfy hunger, not to satiate blood lust of the killer or his/her equally blood thristy deity (a mere assumption not supported by any religious text).

If Muslims and Christians do animal sacrifices in the island, they too must be stopped.

We are not trying to correct world wrongs. It is only about Sri Lanka – the nation we call home. There are many despicable things happen in the world including human sacrifice, genital mutilation, mass murder, colonialism, etc. These must be stopped. However, our homeland must be protected from these barbaric acts first.

At most about 20,000 persons (including families) may engage in this barbaric act. It is a mere 0.1% of the population. 99.9% of the population is not against stopping this barbaric act. It is a national shame. It must be stopped for good.

If Hindus are non violent, they should stop this barbaric act before others point it out to them!
Silence of most Hindus who are non violent is also an offence as it allows this barbaric act to continue.

  6. wasantha Says:

There are two points in Dilrook’s stand against what I wrote that intended to restrict this dialogue. One is that he is only worried about what is happening in Sri Lanka. The other is killing animal for food is admissible. OK I’ll give in to keep discussion Sri Lanka oriented. Where this moral high ground of the second thesis comes from. Is it because humans have more right in this world? Or is it because some religions sanctioned the killing of animal for food?
Again what is the barbaric act here? Where it becomes barbaric? There is no difference in the way animal is killed at the kovil or at abattoir. In both cases religion involves. In both case meat ends in the plate. Animal may die more painfully in abattoirs. If anybody seen how pigs are killed in areas like Negambo, Chilaw and similar areas that is what I call barbaric.
This practice existed thousands of years. This is a religious rights of another ethnic group our country. If we turn a blind eye to some religious groups killing chicken, pigs, cattle, etc at their homes in a most barbaric way, on the reason of their religion sanction, we have no rights to go and enforce our dubious moral high ground on another ethnic minority, unless we want to deny their rights, which others of the country enjoy.

  7. Lorenzo Says:

Tamils worship devils calling them gods.

    e.g. Sun God (Prabakaran).

Remember they used to kill non-Tamils on Sun God’s feast day on November 26?

    Same thing here.

But I agree on principle we should OK animal sacrifice as long as two legged tigers are sacrificed.

  8. lingamAndy Says:

    Lorenzo
You means, on principle we should OK animal sacrifice as long as two legged lions sacrificed ???
watch our Aanai iravu sandai soon !!!

  9. Dham Says:

2 legged Tigers sacrifices themselves to protect the big Yakkha. 2 legged Lions faught and sacrifies lives to save both Tamils and Sinhalas from misery.
However, 2 legged foxes govern the country, pretending to be Lions.

  10. Lorenzo Says:

I agree on principle we should OK animal sacrifice as long as two legged tigers and hardcore Tamil nationalists are sacrificed in Muliyawaikkal style.

  11. lingamAndy Says:

Lorenzo- Why don’t you like Aanai iravu style !!!
Puli pathugnkirathu Paaivathadku ! (please transate in english for me-thanks)

  12. M.S.MUDALI Says:

Killing an animal is always for food. Some Hindus and some Buddhists like to sacrifice animals to the Godess KALI in Munneswaram. That is their belief. They are not killing HUMANS! But Sinhalese are still happy to kill Tamil humans. 1983 is a good example. Not a single Sinhala killer was prosecuted. Lorenzo needs more such HUMAN sacrifices in the name of Buddha!

Sinhala Buddhism needs more human sacrifices. When are the Sinhalese going to stop it?

    Dilrook:
Number of Muslims or Christians is not a matter here. Religious belief of a group of people. Mervyn Silva( Is he a Catholic?) cannot interfere in the “beliefs” of those people. Buddhism never sanction any form of killing. Will Hela Urumaya or the PM who is responsible for Buddha Sasana, introduce any legislation to close down all “slaughter houses” in the Island?

Munneswaram issue is an anti Tamil/hindu issue only.

  13. Fran Diaz Says:

    Good article, Dilrook. Thank you.

Re para : “However, this year the barbaric practice will not be hindered due to petty political reasons. As elections draw near, especially the Eastern Provincial council election where the Tamil vote is crucial for the ruling party, any act of barbarity will be tolerated”.

If GoSL is really smart, they will take a good hard look at this issue of Animal Sacrifice and see that most Tamils (Hindu as well as Catholic/Christian), will say “NO” to Animal Sacrifice practices, if they can say so without Fear. It is the Fear factor caused by the Munneswaram Kovil (Goddess) that prevents them speaking out. SUPERSTITION & FEAR are used as weapons by those who want Animal Sacrifice to continue, a tool to silence Lankans speaking their mind.

In fact, GoSL ought to make the Animal Sacrifice issue a part of their Election Campaign not only in the Eastern Province, but in the whole of Sri Lanka. If Tamils want to Evolve as a group and earn respect from others, they must discard Animal Sacrifice. For the rest of us, it’s time to quit playing Ostrich and hiding our heads in the sand every time a problem crops up. Time to voice our real feelings on matters of importance for Lanka.

MP Mervy Silva, over to you for action !

  14. lingamAndy Says:

Dr Mervy Silva MP – Do not give up !!!

  15. Fran Diaz Says:

P.S: What Animal Sacrifice does to the psyche of a child watching these acts of killing is unimaginable. The child’s delicate psyche will get hardened, confused and warped, and an extended cruelty to human beings will become acceptable. We feel certain that ltte killings of Sinhala villagers (hacked to death) had some connection to Animal Sacrifice. There IS a political dimension to Animal Sacrifice.

  16. mjaya Says:

“There IS a political dimension to Animal Sacrifice.” You are 100% correct Fran!

Ever wondered why Muslims fundamentalists can easily raise an army of butchers? Its their practice of slaughter which is done in plain sight of others. It trains little children to become merciless killers.

  17. Dham Says:

Animal sacrifices for all religious causes should come to a stop in Buddhist Sri lanka.
Whether it is Muslims or Tamils, all must stop. No “Eid Mubarak” should be allowed in Sir lanka if animal killings involved. They can distribute Mushrooms and Soya meat instead.

  18. Kamal1 Says:

Killing or harming any LIVING BEING is Bad, Wrong, Unjust, Unfair, Immoral, Irreligious & Evil act..!
As a living being, Do you like to be killed or be harmed by others..??? No…! & WHY…?
Coz we all LIVING BEINGS love to live & have comfort..! NOT to be killed or harmed..!
Killing/harming/eating each other are ANIMAL INSTINCS & not human instincts. By doing so, they practise animal instincts & they’ll be reborn in the HELL or as an ANIMAL. Coz that harmful status naturally exists there.
The ones who practised their mind such harmful behaviour, will find next birth place in where the same harmful status exists. That’s the nature & the theory of “things happening as they happen”…..
But no one deserves that bad outcomes only by Eating meat of a killed being as they’ve not involved in killing or harming beings.!
Killing, causing to kill, accepting/approving of killing, willing to kill, helping to kill, praising of killing, etc… are the real evil acts which deserve the Hell….!
“Youre entitled to suffer in the Hell – Who’re involved in killing”

  19. M.S.MUDALI Says:

The Munneswaram temple has stopped the animal sacrifice due to the arrival and exposition of the Buddha relics from India. The Temple respected the request from the President. After the exposition, the animal sacrifie will be resumed, the temple authorities informed!

  20. lingamAndy Says:

The Temple respected the request from the President !!!
Tamil & Sinhalese live together for last thousand of thousand years ( Ravana time , Kukenis time , Elara time, VPs time …) & will !!!

  21. Fran Diaz Says:

    Andy,

The Buddha rejected both Caste & Animal Sacrifice. If a person honors the Buddha, he/she must honor the Buddha’s Teachings, and honor it all the way. Stop Animal Sacrifice, reject Caste.

Honor the Buddha relics, and it is greatest to honor the Teachings of the Buddha.

  22. lingamAndy Says:

Fran Diaz , Bhudha & Siva both Caste & Animal Sacrifice !
I am also not support of Animal Sacrifice but We need to respect our old tradition & not upset our poor village people , Yes We do not like all what they do but need time & educate them slowly ( Not Dr Mylvin way)!
this people respect president requied !!! good strat !

    for a joke!
now Our Hon Bikkus to visit their to put a Bhudha status their to claim Bhuddha visited place 2000 years ago ! problm solved ( Sri Maha Kali Amman will disepare herself )! Happy Lorenzo !!!

  23. Kamal1 Says:

Killing or not is your task & you’re the one who get relevant outcomes also for your doings, not others.
The animals been killed now are paying for their killings done in privious lives. The ones who involve in killing now are going to be same kind of animals next & to be killed by some others. These fools never learn but just follow the same routined evil course.
The ones who can’t understand this are misbelievers who become evil doers & entitle to go to hell & get birth as animals too..! That’s how all misbelievers definitly end up in the HELL…!
If you also can’t understand, then rate ‘0’ to this & it’s not a wonder, coz most of living beings couldn’t understand this, that’s why most of beings are born in the hell & as animals…

  24. lingamAndy Says:

    Kamal1, Kamal !!!

. The ones who involve in killing now are going to be same kind of animals next & to be killed by some others.- What about human killing !!!

why most of beings are born in the hell & as animals…! what about animal in the world not why they were not the hell (or you want to say this the hell)

My chinhala brother give some time & education to poor villager sack of Bhuddha or christ or Ahla or Siva !!!

  25. Lorenzo Says:

NO ANIMAL SACRIFICE THIS YEAR. FINALISED.

    Well done SL.

A small victory for SL, but a giant victory for mankind!

Mu-Dalit aka Lingam, WEEP! It is Nanthikadal time again!

  26. Kamal1 Says:

    lingamAndy.!
Killing means “killing of living beings” & no matter human or mosquito. there’re common severe outcomes of KILLING, that’s; getting birth in hell + getting birth as animals + been killed by others + having short life time even if born as human.
Hell(apaya) is a common word for existance where there’re more suffering+thirst. Animal world is also included in the hell. But there’re many deferent hells having extremely severe sufferings continuously for long times called “Nirayas”.
Also the hardness of outcomes depend on the superiority of the being who killed. Killing an ant has less outcomes than killing of dog. Killing a bad man has less outcomes than killing a good man. etc.
That’s the nature’s “actions & reactions theory” found by Buddha & there’s no debate on that but how do you feel about that.? Is the nature unjust or what.?
You’ll become a doctor, by practising skills of doctors & you’ll become an animal, by practising animal skills like killing. You’ll make who you’re & you’re what you do.!
This’s the real practical true theory of nature in this world. No god or dog can surpass this & all beings exists under this theory despite their beliefs of MYTH GODS creation & influence. No such god can do anything for us & never have done so too. Only the blind fool folk has myth belief of such gods, coz they can’t understand theory of nature.
By doing so they ignore the true theory, thus become evil doers to be part of majority who end up in the hell. That’s how majority of world become god believers too. Majority of this world are fool folk or wise folk.? No debate that Fools are the majority of this world who can’t understand things as they are & they end up in the hell too.
Then most of beings are actually reall truely born in the hell & as animals than humans, because most of beings involved & practise the animal instincts which cause them to be born in hell & as animals.! Those fools never learn dhamma to avoid the same suffering. You also couldn’t get yet what i mean here.!

  27. Kamal1 Says:

Yes, the ‘Gods MYTH’ believers are (-) minus in knowledge of truth. They blindly ‘believe’ the story that god made the sky & sea then the earth & so on… But they can do nothing with that god practically in this life. They’re just slavers of the worlds great myth thrown by western invaders who destroyed this srilanka. You’re the real shameless betrayers of this country who still licking the filthy ass of western invaders.

  28. mewan Says:

The level of hypocrisy of Dilrook, Wasantha and Lorenzo is hard to comprehend. Dilrook claims these animals are “needlessly” killed. If he had bothered to investigate what happens to the animals killed, he would have found out that all animals are consumed by the owners or shared among the villages. These are animals villages raise for consumption and provide an important source of protein in their diet. The only difference here is that these animals are brought to the temple to be killed (something that they would have done anyway) on the belief that the act bestows some blessing on them by the Gods they believe in. None of us has the right to question that belief or ridicule it. This practice may not appeal to the general public, but remember people in a democracy live by the rule of law and not by the whims and fancies of members of any other religion or belief. Sri Lanka is not a Buddhist country but a country where majority are Buddhists. It is also a secular nation, where law and religion are separate although our leaders and the Buddhist zealots seem to ignore this all important distinction. What law are these people breaking? There is not unwritten Buddhist law in the country that other religions have to abide by. Other religious minorities are free to do whatever they wish within the confines of the laws of the country. If you try to infringe on that freedom, remember a whole world, which is mostly non-Buddhist is watching you.

If you come out of our outdated views of religion and let other people get on with their lives and traditions as long as they don’t break the law you may get some respect in the wider world. If the word gets out about this other countries may view this as an oppression of religious freedom to a minority and not an issue of cruelty to animals. Those who want to be holier then thou should creep out of their holes and look around. Sri Lanka depends heavily on countries where animal killings are rampant. Chinese eat anything that moves, slaughter of animals in Arab countries (such as Sri Lanka’s great friend Iran) is rampant. Japanese kill whales by the thousands and western countries have the highest rates of meat consumption. Yet these proud Buddhist Sri Lankans don’t seem to have any problem of accepting aid from these sinners to feed themselves. However, they take the moral high ground when some poor villages want to practice their religion the way they have done for generations. Just get off your high horses and look around you. There are murders, rapes, incest, land grabbing, bribery, fraud, burglaries and every other crime imaginable going on in this Buddhist country. Are you claiming all these crimes are committed by Hindus, Muslims and Christians too? You know the country is morally bankrupt not because a tiny group of people do some insignificant animal sacrifice but when there are people who actually praise Mervyn Silva!

  29. MuhammadFS Says:

As a Muslim I’m very happy this evil act has been blocked. There is a way to kill animals and consume their meat. This is cannibalism. They remind me of Satan worshippers. This is extremism and true fundamentalism.

Our beautiful country should never allow animal sacrifice. It is too outdated and foolish. It belongs to the stone age. If anyone wants to do animal sacrifice, go to Nepal and do it. Don’t come back.

All intelligent Muslims are with the government on this.

  30. Dham Says:

    Muhammad,
Do you agree that “No “Eid Mubarak” should be allowed in Sir lanka if animal killings involved. ” ?
I was in Doha recently and saw how animals are being carried in street parade to be killed in “Muslim way ” . They remind me of Satan worshippers. This too is extremism and true fundamentalism.

  31. Dilrook Says:

    Mewan:

    Your statements contain many inaccuracies.

Sri Lanka is not a secular nation.

Chapter II of the Constitution Article 9 reads: [Quote]The Republic of Sri Lanka shall give to Buddhism the foremost place and accordingly it shall be the duty of the State to protect and foster the Buddha Sasana, while assuring to all religions the rights granted by Articles 10 and 14(1)(e).[Unquote]

Article 10: [Quote] Every person is entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, including the freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice.[Unquote]

Article 14: [Quote] Every citizen is entitled to –
    (e) the freedom, either by himself or in association with others, and either in public or in private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice or teaching. [Unquote]

No other religion has been given the foremost place.

There is no religious or belief system in Sri Lanka that recognizes animal sacrifice.

When read together, it is very clear Article 9 comes above the other two and sets the background for where articles 10 and 14(e) stand.

Consumption is not the main aim of these people. If so, they could go to a meat stall and buy all the meat they need.

I sincerely hope the efforts of some legislators will bear fruit and this barbaric practice will be prevented from happening ever again. The Bill must be presented before the sacred relics leave the island when there is a surge in Buddhism awareness.

  32. Kamal1 Says:

Any fool evil doer can give any mean to the so call words ‘religion/law’ without reasoning. But what we must practically mean by religion.?
“To avoid & refrain form doing BAD & to promote & practice to do GOOD”
no one is free to do what they wish as per impractical & irrational MYTH GOD BELIEFS.
Can you prove that myth god say to kill beings.? But you can see yourself that killing is BAD for all beings.!
and it’s despite the law. That’s why it’s prohibited to harm & kill human beings by law in all over the world. What an animal who can’t understand the SUFFERING of a living being.?
Law must be under that trem & it must be the base of law.! Otherwise what’s the purpose of that law, if it allows to exist bad behaviour within us.?
Should we’ve any evil law to promote & practise the BAD.? or to avoid & refrain from doing what’s GOOD.?
So, we must correct the law if it is not complying with the perfect morality.!
There’re many irrelevant fool debates here from those who’re under limited & narrow thinking, but they’re not the ones who decide what should happen in srilanka. We’re majority here to do that & we’re not slavers of impractical myth god beliefs like westerns or arabs. We don’t follow any other folk in the world & we don’t care whether they watching us or not. but wise western folk increasingly come here to study the Great Buddhism because they’re admitting the Fault & silliness of ridiculous myth god belief, while saying that “f..king jesus never be happy”…!

  33. MuhammadFS Says:

Srilankans should be weary of racist persons who try to create violence between peaceful Sinhalese and Muslims.

They and their wives have made their money serving Arab countries (Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Doha and Qatar) as housemaids. Now they want to disrupt it. Peace to all good Srilankans.
