Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Gnanadesikan has questioned the veracity of the repeated incidents where Tamil Nadu fishermen are subjected to attacks allegedly by Sri Lankan Navy off Rameshwaram.
Speaking at the Congress partyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s public meeting in Cuddalore on Saturday night, he said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚Tamil Nadu fishermen issue is being projected as repeatedly occurring incidents. In 500 boats, around 4,000 fishermen venture into the sea for fishing at a time. Each boat carries eight fishermen normally. While there is such a huge contingent of TN fishermen on the high sea, how could a few Sri Lankan navy personnel beat just five TN fishermen in a boat?ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
He further said that there was a need to delve deeper into the matter as there is something more that meets the eye.
ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-We will leave for New Delhi with a team of representatives of Rameshwaram fishermen to discuss a permanent solution to this problem,ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ he added.
On Sri Lankan defence personnel training in Tamil Nadu, he said, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Only two Lankan officers are undergoing training. We also flagged the demand to send them back from our country. But, Vaiko is doing a propaganda as if the entire Sri Lankan army is undergoing training here.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ – Express News Service

Looks like MS Mu_Dalit coming back with new name F-Tamil.
These recent developments prove that there is no tamil-Sinhala problem in Sri lanka.
It is the Tamil Nadu tamils who have the problem with India.
Therefore time has come Jeyalelita to train Libartion Monkeys of Tamil Nadu (LMTN) fight the Centre.

Fishing in the Palk Straights was an old habit of Tamil Nadu fishermen. After Sea territorial waters were defined, the TN fishermen are not honoring the new Laws of the Sea, and are now fishing in Sri Lanka sea waters.
Another point is that TN fishermen have trawled the sea bed in TN sea waters for conch shells and ruined the ecology there so much that the fish cannot flourish. It is high time that TN fishermen were taught about the ecology of the sea and also have them develop inland fisheries &/or deep sea fishing away from SL sea waters.
What are the fisheries authorities in TN doing about these problems ? It is they who should be held responsible to find solutions to their problems there.
I have seen islands such as Majorca (Mediterranean Sea) grow fish in tunnels built into the sea. Expensive sea food such as lobster, cray fish, etc. can be grown in such tunnels which are cemented up at one end with small holes to let the sea water wash in, and the other end secured with a lockable wooden door. A wooden plank inside enables a person to walk (bent) inside the tunnel.
We also feel that there is also an element of deliberate provocation here by TN fishermen.

All Lankans must bear in mind that the TN fishermen can turn to human & drug smuggling.
