New set of Buddhist/meditaiotn books: By Prof. Sunil Wimalawansa

I hope you would be interested in reading the following new set of books.  These are written in simple English and are in color, especially for children: 

(A)  The American Who Revived Buddhism in Asia: Legacy of Col. Henry Steel Olcott (84 pages in colour; USD 8.00). 

(B)  The Intertwined History of Buddhism and Lanka (240 pages in color; USD 15.00).

(C)  A series of three meditation books, Samatha, Metta, and Vipassana; these come with a presentation pack.  These three books are interlinked, and thus, reading all three is recommended (200 pages in each book, in color, with hard cover; A presentation pack with three books, USD 50.00).

(D)  “Vitamin D: All you need to know,” is written for physicians, healthcare workers, researchers, as well as for the public.  The book is intended to emphasize the importance of vitamin D as it relates to overall health and preventive care.  Initial part of the book focuses on nutrition and public health (372 pages in color, hard cover; USD 40.00). 

Part of the proceedings from these books goes to three charitable projects: (a) to empower women in rural areas (b) a children’s education fund, and (c) for provision of clean water projects.

Five Buddhism and Buddhist philosophy books will be available in 2013.
