The 13th Amendment in its various manifestations is in for consideration. It is best if the following issues too are discussed in this forum and elsewhere by patriots so that their implications for the future of Sri Lanka and for the future generations of all Sri Lankans are given due consideration. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Let the politicos and the powers that be too understand the implications.
Most of all let the people know!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Part 3. Marine and Oceanic Resources
200 Mile International Economic Zones ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Sri Lanka ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Eelam
Call for land powers is the thin end of the iceberg that is Eelam. With the granting of land powers Sri Lanka will loose the 2/3 of its International 200 mile economic zone. Ocean is the next human frontier and the repository of many resources yet to discovered.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Continental Shelf around Sri Lanka and India
Who will own the riches of the shallow water marine reserves ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” oil, gas, fisheries and other? The potential oil and gas reserves and major harbors including Trincomalee will be lost forever.
Sinhalese will be left between the Eelamists and deep blue sea! ArenƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t the politicos compromising the inheritance and heritage of our present and future generations and holding us for ransom!

Land powers also means sea powers!!
Because coastal areas are land. Controlling this can control the USE of adjoining sea.
When fishing permits were given to Sinhala fishermen in Mannar, Tamil racists protested recently. So the map is a reality even today.

Tamils say Eelam is the Tamil name for Sri Lanka.
Why not make the whole thing 1 country, Eelam – not just two provinces ?
This is what 13 A means.
Politicians want to keep provincial system so that keep on fishing mother lanka for own pockets. They will never revoke 13A .
