Sri Lanka’s stand in objecting to the United Nations recent report that Sri Lanka did not act accordingly to prevent civilian deaths during the decades long insurrection by the Tamil Tigers needs to be emphasized much more than mere protestations as the continued harrassment of Sri Lanka on this issue as well as many others is a blatant portrayal of the extents to which adversaries and enemies of the Island nation will go to discredit it.

It is primarily an orchestration of the Tamil Tiger sympathetic diaspora floating around the world inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  disgruntled clutches sometimes in the manner of a deranged and angeredƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ lot that their champions the Tamil Tigers were unable to deliver a slice of Sri Lanka towards their own means and idealogies.

It is howeverƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a source which has the means to influence the world through many impureƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ tactics involving lies, innuendo and fabricated stories cleverly compoled through state of the art technologyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ despite whichƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the truth glares most of the discerning world in the face and the UN only has hearsay to sibstantiate its claims.

Regardlerss of what the UN may have to say, the fact of the matter is Sri Lanka has bravely fought an almost impossible insurrection towards victory and accomplished it equitably to the task and high time the anti Sri Lanka theme about wrong doings was halted in its entirety as it is hampering the progress Sri Lanka has made towards re-building a Nation which was very nearly devastatedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  towards disintegration but for the appropriate and timely actions taken by the Administration and the Armed Forces where there was no such attrocities towards civilians as chargedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and will remainƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  unsubstantiable charges. Who ever makes accusations aboutƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the military action of Sri Lanka to put down the Tamil Tigers will never be able to proveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ what they claim asƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ they are intangible and falsely presented to serve mainly the agenda of the enemies of the state and those who are not content to accept the authority of the Administration which has delivered the nation from its enemies quite legitimately!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
Whatever actions wereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ taken by the Sri Lankan authorities in a realistic sense have been applauded, acolladed and recognized as unprecedented and a favour to the world and the global fight towards the elimination of Global terrorism and the story should end there but no it has to be coughed up time and time again and it is not at all surprising that then Sri Lankan Authorities haveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ slammed a United Nations report on the conclusion of the island’s civil war, saying allegations against the government are “unsubstantiated and erroneous” which it very definitely is where there is every reason to challenge these allegations on the basis that they are biased and instigated by the enemies of the State who are varied and far reaching and not restricted to the sympathisers of the Tamil Tigers alone as there are internal sources that have contributed to the false presentations of the accusers also, who have gained strength towards their impure campaigns as a result, elements that need to be sought out, investigated and punished for their lack of patriotism and integrity towards protectingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ their motherland and are ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ mostly sick opportunists.

Consequently Sri Lanka’s External Affairs Ministry hasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ said in a responseƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ” the UNƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ report appears to be another attempt at castigating Sri Lanka for militarily defeating the Tamil Tiger guerrillas, who fought for a separate state in the Indian ocean island nation.”

When the UN report under reviewƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ says that the its own inadequate efforts to protect civilians in 2009 during the bloody final months of the civil war marked a “grave failure” that led to suffering for hundreds of thousands of peopleƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the UN has failed to recognize that the greater suffering during the insurrection was at the hands of the Tami Tigers where the onmly respite was the protection the Armed Forces gave all civilians which was demonstrated visibly during the latter part of the anti terrorist campaign when civilians were used as human shields from a fleeing LTTEƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and perhaps the UN should have sent in a militaryƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ force to assist the Government troops despite it sounding somewhat preposterous but rational considering the reality that it was the Tamil Tigers that needed quelling and were the main inflicters of murder, mayhem and suffering on an entire nation regardless of which ethnicity was affected!

The UN report’sƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ accusations thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ UN staff in Sri Lanka’s capital ColomboƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ did notƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ perceive that preventing civilian deaths was their responsibility and accused their bosses at UN headquarters of not telling them otherwise is a lame excuse and a load ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rhetoric towards something the UN could never accomplish beyond mere words or else the world today would even hypotheticallyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ be a trouble free and tranquil place on the basis ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ their capacity to resolve world conflicts ~ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ current and ongoing with perhaps greater attrocities than those which took place in Sri Lanka but a load of incomprehensible hogwash which in the end tantamounts to nothing beyond rank UN inefficiency!

To add insult to injuryƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ separate UN report released last year it hasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ said thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ up to 40,000 ethnic minority Tamil civilians may have been killed in the war’s final months with hardly a reference to the Sinhalese, Muslim and other ethnicities that were subjected to horrendous suffering at the hands of the Tamil Tigers where only the prompt and effective action of the Armed Forces prevented further escalation!!.

Justifiably the accusations against the Government drew the following response from the Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry. “While this report is an internal review of the UN’s action in Sri Lanka during the terrorist conflict, the ministry’s attention has been drawn to certain issues with regard to allegations directed at the Government of Sri Lanka, which are regrettably unsubstantiated, erroneous and replete with conjecture and bias,” it hasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ further said thatƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  “ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The UN report did not mention the ‘intransigence’ of the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam), which held the people as a human shield, and even shot in cold blood those who tried to escape to gain their freedom”.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
The report was compiled by a committee headed by former UN official Charles Petrie. It investigated UN actions as the quarter-century war between the government, dominated by the ethnic Sinhalese majority, and minority Tamil rebels ended in 2009 in a wave of violence.

While the UN report’s condemnations were primarilyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ directed against the Government of Sri Lanka as well as the UN staff stationed in Colombo itƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ was also said to beƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ heavily critical of the rebels and accused them of holding tens of thousands of Sri Lankan civilians as human shields and shooting those who tried to escape presenting a degree of confusion about what it was exactlyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the UN wasƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ rattling onƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ aboutƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and the point it was trying to make where in the end it comes as no surprise that the Sri Lankan Administration has every right to contest the report as the UN seems to be torn between both sides of the equation and the UN does not appear to be able to make its mind up about who it wants to accuse, whether it is ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ their own staff for so called neglect, the Tamil Tigers or the Government of Sri Lanka.
Another comedy of errors on the part of the Ban Ki Moon regime perhaps!

Sri Lanka should have a Task Force under the defense ministry to counter and answer all the allegations, reports or any adverse news reports where ever it appears. Nothing should go unanswered. Part of the two billon dollar defense budget should be used for this. It should also be used to lobby/buy politicians in the west , journalist in all major newspapers around the world and to hold seminars and workshops in major western countries. After all this is also part of national defense. Use few hundred million dollars. You bet all.. the sucker bones will be working on behalf of SRI-LANKA

We cannot depend on our diplomats. Except for exceptional few, all others are Ba, Ba, Boos…

Justice department should form a war crimes desk. They should research and frame, file war crimes charges, send arrest warrants and prosecute all the LTTE Terrorist and backers oversees and in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka should grow up fast to fight a professional war on the propaganda front just like we did during the war from a ceremonial military to one of the best in the world. NOW.. without taking that long

  2. S de Silva Says:

‘epaasni’ Thank you – Just the thing we need to combat the bogus diaspora propaganda- now a long overdue action. Our foreign missions packed generally with incompetent stooges as you say is good for nothing! The GoSL has to wake up from its deep slumber and act fast with a credible action plan and backed up by competent overseas personnel. While jumping up shouting “we won the war” will be an empty and meaningless boast the more time the GoSL allows to pass just glorifying the past victories but doing nothing more! – S de Silva – London

UN = Organisation for the theft of sovereign nations, for a western nations, you know the usual suspects.
UN = continuation of aggressive western imperialism through war and chaos, you know the time honoured western imperialism strategy of divide and conquer. Sri Lanka should tell the UN to get out of Sri Lanka if Sri lanka is serious about continuing to be a free and independent nation. Tell this vile organisation called the UN to get lost and get back to the hole it crawled out of so it never again threatens sovereign independent nations like Sri Lanka.

  4. douglas Says:

epaasani – Very welcome proposal and request the urgent attention of the Ministry of Defence.

This Task Force should be composed of Professionals (The Real Ones) of all categories, such as Military Stratagists, Police Intelligence Personnel, Economists, Engineers, Legal Professionals, Accountatnts, Doctors, Journalists etc. I say this because, the LTTE “Strategists” (composed of all these categories mentioned above )spread all over the world have not given up. In actual fact, they have only started their “war”now. All this while they have been behind the scene and their strategy was to wait and see what happens to the “military strategy” and if that turned unfavourable, they are ready to fight. This is what we see happening all over the world. They have already “infiltrated” into all the Governemnt machinery in the west and gone right upto the UNO. They infiltrated into Governemnts and obtained a commanding force with the placements of “refugees”as deciding forces at election times. A good example of this operation is Canadian political scene. Do you remember how even the Canadian Delegation attempted to bring in the Dharusman Report to the UNHRC through the “back door”, but fortunately avoided as the news of it was leaked at a dinner. Even they know how to manipulate the SG of UNO. That is why we see various types of reports,(Internal and Advisory) even from discredited personnel are being put out from time to time. THIS IS HOW THE “LTTE” PROFESSIONALS WORK.

We have, so far miserably failed to recongnize this “underground operation”. But, better late than never. Our Government must in the first place sort out what is “NICE” to do and what is “NEED” to be done. Give priority to the NEED than the NICE.

  5. Lorenzo Says:

SL already has a similar unit under the ministry of defence established in 2010.

They did some commendable jobs if you remember the factual report, EXCELLENT videos against Channel 4 (Lankaweb has links to all these). After that Channel 4 BS STOPPED!!!

But it takes time to develop into what CIA and Mossad has. They CONTROL the media. ALL US and Israeli local media are controlled by them PLUS many international media. We can NEVER do that. Sunday Leader, lankaenews, sundaytimes, dailymirror, colombotelegraph, etc. are at the FOREFRONT of anti-SL media but we can’t control them. Other countries DON’T Have such SPITEFUL anti-national media!!! Still there is a lot we can achieve WITH TIME. They also CONTROL the UN which we can never do.

What we should not forget is it is an ONGOING PROCESS. Tamil Homelandists will NEVER leave SL alone. They will bring new trouble. We have to fight them on one hand and on the other BE ONE STEP AHEAD OF THEM.

ELIMINATING key Tamil nationalists ESPECIALLY IN SL is MORE important than mere propaganda ALONE.

Who is RECHARGING the Tamil Diaspora in UK, France, etc. with Tamil Homeland BS?

TNA and ACTC politicians from SL!!!

  6. Lorenzo Says:

Today MOST anti-SL conspiracies are HATCHED in SL or by people LIVING in SL with foreign money. Then they spread the world over.

    This is the truth.

Add to TNA and ACTC, Kasippu Joseph who is a VERY POWERFUL LTTE propaganda tool LINKING Tamil people in SL with Tamil Madu, UK (BTF racists), NGOs and the anti-SL mafia.

No point taking diarrhea medicine if you don’t wash your hands after coming out of the toilet.

  7. Voice123 Says:

The LTTE diaspora have a sophisticated propaganda machinery which takes in foreign media, NGOs, politicians, Christian elements, Hindu elements, Islamic extremists after “suicide technology” and murderous inspiration, Pro-Irish people, pro-Jewish people, pro ANC people, pro black rights people, actors like Julia Roberts, activists like Bruce Feinn, Freemasons, child molesters, arms dealers, drug dealers, corrupt officials in the West, Burma, Thailand etc, Indian politicians, weapons dealers, disgruntled anti-government Sinhalese people abroad, journalists, human rights organizations, refugee advocates, legal practitioners, academics, third rate western politicians, – you name it! Anybody they can use, they use. They are like the Illuminati. And they are all given material or other incentive to enrich themselves at the expense of peace and the good name of Sri Lanka. This last point is important. They all have a different INCENTIVE to cause mayhem in Sri Lanka, whether profit/guilt/transferred hatred/fame or whatever else! a truly diabolical situation. They study opinion polls and psychology and pitch their anti Sri Lanka venom differently to different groups. Adele Balasingham is at the forefront of this tactic. What is being done to extradite her? And there are many others.

The Sri Lankan government can’t tackle this alone by talking to diplomats and leaders alone. They need to use a full range of tools to deal with this backed up with appropriate psychology and incentives to win people over en masse. We need to identify the traitors/corrupt individuals within Sri Lanka and expose them. In fact the people shouldn’t wait for the government to act.

  8. Sunil Mahattaya Says:

So what you are saying in essence Voice123 is that a nefarious group of pro terrorist elements have so much clout towards their capacity to influence such a variance of global communities, ethnicities and high profile entities and if so we must be living in a world of apathetic, worthless and blinkered leaders representing the countries which support and lend an ear to these scumbags of the LTTE diaspora. If as you say “The Sri Lankan government can’t tackle this alone by talking to diplomats and leaders alone. They need to use a full range of tools to deal with this backed up with appropriate psychology and incentives to win people over en masse. We need to identify the traitors/corrupt individuals within Sri Lanka and expose them. In fact the people shouldn’t wait for the government to act” it is a good way to start tackling the problem. But for the people to act independent of the Government and unilaterally there needs to a machination of power far stronger than that of the Tamil( rather than LTTE albeit pro terrorist) diaspora which would depend on how strongly it could convince the world thast these are criminally motivated nation destructive ne’er do wells so where does the action begin? What tools do you think are feasible? Is this not something akin to the mice trying to bell the cat or do we wage an all out campaign to discredit the Tamil Diaspora through Sinhala as well as National Unity which is a microcosm of reality in these days and times in Sri Lanka?

  9. S de Silva Says:

Yes, Sunil M… too bloody right!..as you say.. “we must be living in a world of apathetic, worthless and blinkered leaders..” It is utterly the responsibility of the GoSL to set up the action plan to deal with this threat making use of the talent in SL & abroad in a joint effort – just like what the Tamils are up to! – S de Silva – London

  10. Voice123 Says:

Yes Sunil M, they have a lot of clout – mainly through strategic activities eg the separatist diaspora’s would rather spend money influencing the mass media and gullible voters in western electorates knowing fully well that the voters decide who remains in power. Remember most of these countries are predominantly European or white Anglo Saxons who historically believe in they have a moral superiority over the coloured races. Enter the Tamil strategist. They manipulate western mass media by selling them sensational/horror stories about Sri Lanka and the western voters through the guilt/superiority complex. In the meantime GOSL spends millions lobbying favourable politicians and diplomats, who even if they know the truth, are impotent at election times, and against the guilt/superiority complex of the gullible western masses. It takes a lot of persistence and conviction to stand up to a westerner obsessed with human rights. Its like their new religion. Likewise with the economy and tourism. GOSL spends millions promoting tourism and investment. Tamil separatists come along and easily undo it by placing a few bombs in Sri Lanka, paying off some of their Singala golayas/thugs to crate a disturbance, and Tamils working in foreign offices throughout the western world encourage travel advisories against Sri Lanka and the media carries negative stories. All the previous work of GOSL down the drain!

Another key point. Tamil separatists NEVER disclose they are neutral and acting for LTTE terrorists. They always claim to be acting for “innocent Tamil civilians” who are fighting the “dangerous and discriminatory” armed forces of the GOSL. So to westerners, they APPEAR more credible because they are masquerading as an innocent third party victim whereas GOSL is a party to the conflict. It’s how credibility is perceived in the Western world. The other, more hidden issue is to what extent are the Tamil separatists themselves acting independently. In their eagerness for violence and Eelam, have they become a tool of foreign powers?

It is paramount that private citizens and organizations act independently eg expatriate united Sri Lankan groups in Canada, Australia, UK etc. their funding is limited, but they are far more effective in the propaganda war. They must also be very discerning in the way they criticize the government. Any disunity will be exploited.
