Response to Fr. Emmanuel’s love for “Sinhalese Buddhistsâ€ÂÂÂ!-Interview with Fr. Emmanuel by Sri Lankan Guardian/Nov 2012

The man who rechristened Prabakaran ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-annaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Jesus ChristƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, the LTTE as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-soldiers of ChristƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and LTTE suicide bombers as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-martyrsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ is none other than President of the Global Tamil Forum ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Father S J Emmanuel now self-exiled in Germany and not the least piqued that he himself is referred to as the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Desmond TutuƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of Tamils! The LTTE-Church links is nothing anyone can hide. Afterall Tamil ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-nationalismƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ originated from an imported Christian, another S J ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” he was S J V Chelvanayagam and continuing an Evangelizing of Asia strategy undercover of a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Tamil NationalistƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ struggle is Father S J Emmanuel the new God Father! The true nature of the LTTE, its dead leader and its new leadership vis a vis Father Emmanuel helps us to solve the puzzle of the real nature of this elusive Tamil ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-struggleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” it has nothing to do with ethnicity but everything to do with religion which explains why Prabakaran vetoed every political solution offered!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ So what do we conclude when a Reverend Father who should be preaching peace advocates the theory of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-giving up lives for a greater causeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and brainwashes boys and girls to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-come out to dieƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” why do those that ask others to give up lives not lead by example? Is it just a coincidence that almost all LTTE fighters were Hindus while those spurring them to die were Christians?
http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/boys-and-girls-come-out-to-die-1574916.html 26 February 1995 Former LTTE ex-combatants now under rehabilitation have also confirmed how Father Emmanuel addressed them in LTTE training camps in the Wanni!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The entire LTTE hierarchy was Christians. The suicide bomber who blew up Rajiv Gandhi was also a Christian, incidentally Nalini on death row is also a Christian ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the majority of the NGOs/INGOs operating in the North were all Christians and majority of reports, statements against Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s military and its armed forces came from Christian/Catholic priests/Governments and organizations.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Most of the Hindus who make up the present day Diaspora have converted to Christianity and this is so in particular in Germany, Italy and France where they were given assistance to obtain refugee status. Thus LTTE has been a failed Christian conspiracy which makes Prabakaran simply a pawn in the entire exercise ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” he was ONLY the chief executor of a larger international Christian coup one that poses a risk to both Sri Lanka and India!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Diminishing PrabakaranƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s heroism further is the unprecedented reliance on his mentors ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Norway. Would a leader regarded as a demi-god, glorifying suicide attempt to flee along with his family without facing the enemy ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” every Leader has to die honorably to be honored! Thus, Prabakaran was no ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-heroƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ but was simply following ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-instructionsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ and it was these ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-instructionsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ that ensured the existence of the LTTE and the ability for Prabakaran to fulfill his ambition to rule over his own people.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Anyone visiting these areas immediately after the war would realize what appalling conditions the Tamil people were living in despite a rise in Christian converts, new homes that were for Christians/Catholics ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦.the rest is not difficult to imagine. In this scenario can we expect Sri Lanka to pass an anti-conversion bill or animal sacrifice bill in a nation with over 70% Buddhists?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Its time TNA wake up to realities because this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-campaignƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ for the Tamil people appear to be selective and discriminative of Hindus. The question is ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Which Tamil PeopleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” for there is a large number of Tamils not included into this campaign when people like Rev. Father Emmanuel goes preaching his religion tying that to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-EelaamƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ where does that leave the Hindus either in Tamil Nadu or Sri Lanka? In a post-LTTE phase led by pro-Christian/Catholic organizations and leaders there is little place for the Tamil Hindus who have their caste system to blame. Hindu Affairs Minister Maheswaran himself said that over 7000 Hindu families had been converted during the past several decades.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The response and solution to the rigid Tamil caste factor has been to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ChristianizeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ the Tamils of Sri Lanka. Once that is done the final objective is not a Tamil Eelaam but a Tamil Christian Nation combined with Tamil ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ChristianizedƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Tamil Nadu. There is little to be surprised that the Church and international missionary organizations exploit and incite conflicts to forge ahead with their objective. Bulk of NGO funds come from Christian missionaries.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Global Tamil Forum
Presently headed by Father S J Emmanuel holds together 14 organizations (some in partnership with Nediyavan aka Perinbananayakam Sivaparan) and include British Tamil Forum, British Tamil Conservatives, TGTT, Nediyavan Faction and TGTE (the brainchild of KP whose idea has been usurped by Rudrakumaran – Incidentally, the TGTE has been denied permission to use the Brent Town Hall to celebrate PrabakaranƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s murders after objections by the Sri Lankan Forum in UK!)
Suren Surendran is spokesman for both British Tamil Forum and Father EmmanuelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Global Tamil Forum.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The links are clear ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” GTFƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s founding members include Australian Tamil Congress, British Tamil Forum, Holland Tamil Cultural Center, Tamils Forum Malaysian, Norwegian Council of Eelaam Tamils, Swedish Tamil Forum, United States Tamil Political Action Council, Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC), its Communications Director Sahilal Sabaratnam was arrested by FBI in 2006 and Amnesty International accepted CTCƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Canadian $50,000 while Human Rights Watch says LTTE raises money from CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s 250,000 Tamils and other nefarious activities.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Its vision like all other Tamil organizations overseas is clear – ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-self-determinationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-democratic self-ruleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in a ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-traditional homelandƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The International Crisis Group has described GTF as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-a conglomerate of elite personality-driven pro-LTTE organizationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” we couldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t agree more!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Father EmmanuelƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s links with LTTE is nothing he can deny. He addressed the Anton Balasingham memorial in Germany in 2009 with the LTTE flag decorating the podium, he has been encouraging Tamils to carry out suicide missions and kill themselves ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” what priest would do that? He was deported from India for links with LTTE in 2011 but he also said to have had secret meetings with Sonia Gandhi, a Catholic Italian!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ GTF Conference were hosted by the British, the architects of division inside the British Parliament where the opening speech was delivered by none other than former Foreign Secretary David Miliband described as the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-brainiest in the cabinetƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ by Tony Blair while Conservative shadow Secretary William Hague and Liberal Democrat Ed Davey also addressed the gathering. The event was attended by African National Congress MP, Rev. Jesse Jackson and not surprisingly a representative of the Royal Norwegian Government. Greetings had been sent by David Cameron and how could we miss Robert Blake. http://globaltamilforum.org/userfiles/file/Press%20Statement%20-%20Robert%20O%20Blake%20March%202011%20Meeting%20-%20English%20Version(1).pdf
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These meetings are certainly not to weep over the plight of any Tamil and thatƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s for sure ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” each with their own agendas meeting to coordinate on how to serve the piece of cake! The number of foreign parliamentarians linked to these pro-LTTE organizations are many and they all need to be thoroughly investigated including their bank accounts including former Labor MP John Ryan who heads the Nediyavan Faction Secretariat in London with 5 permanent staff though LTTE remains banned in UK.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
If in spite of equating Prabakaran to Jesus Christ,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Vatican remained silent. It goes without saying that despite all the Diaspora pro-LTTE fronts interlinked in some way or the other foreign Governments are reluctant to take any decisive action in terms of launching an international investigation in all the nations they raise funds. The entire leadership hierarchy of these pro-Ltte fronts starting with Father Emmanuel must be investigated for illegal activities that include terrorism, money laundering, human smuggling and narcotics. If Raj Rajaratnam was investigated and found guilty what is stopping from investigating Father Emmanuel, Rudrakumaran, Suren Surendiran, Nediyavan and a host of others? If the US Congress is investigating Republican Michael Grimm who initiated the US Resolution against Sri Lanka (and was lobbied by pro-LTTE groups) for soliciting and accepting illegal campaign contributions these front organizations and foreign politicians associated with them must all be investigated forthwith in a global cleanup operation.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ If German authorities take action against Nazi organizations why are they silent on Fr. Emmanuel for spreading racism while aiding and abetting a terrorist organization masquerading as a priest of peace.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Yet, Australian Tamil Congress organizers of a visit by Father Emmanual to Australia in February 2011 worded their invitation as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-your opportunity to meet with a person whom Rev. Jessie Jackson, the rights activist in USA described as the ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Archbishop Tutu of the Tamil struggleƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚. Would Tutu or Jessie Jackson advocate innocent youth to take up arms, to commit suicide killings and swallow cyanide capsules? If this comment is not amusing enough Father Emmanuel had wanted Anton Balasingham to name him for the Nobel Peace prize and we know who awards the Nobel Prize!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ However, the Don of the LTTE Diaspora fronts would not have expected to get booed at a meeting organized by them but the unbelievable did happen in July 2012 where the hecklers denied presentations of Father Emmanuel and Suren Surendiran and there only 50 invitees! Where is the MILLIONS collected by GTF, BTF and others going because it is not being received by the Tamil people in Sri Lanka and this was confirmed by the Canadian Parliamentary delegation that arrived in Sri Lanka recently.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ GTF is also receiving funds from NGOs and ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-friendlyƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Governments ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” WHO ARE THESE FRIENDLY GOVERNMENTS that are giving tax payers money to terrorism promoting organizations?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The concern of the attendees were what is happening to the MILLIONS that is collected! Raj Rajaratnam alone raised $7million during the tsunami half of which went to banned Tamil Rehabilitation Organization and none of that went towards any tsunami relief. Rightly so and not a single LTTE front organization or Father Emmanuel seems to adequately respond.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Even the films and documentaries being made against Sri Lanka have a Catholic focus ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Norwegian film maker Beate ArnestadƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-My Daughter the TerroristƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ is of 2 young, Catholic Tamil females. Was it a surprise that J N Dixit former Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka in his book Assignment Colombo, on page 228 says ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦what was fascinating was that the Tamil Catholic Clergy kept arguing in favour of the LTTE throughout my tenure in Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Throughout the conflicts the Church representatives have had regular meetings with Prabakaran. Those Christians not falling into the line of thinking and action were bumped off like TNA MP for Batticoloa Joseph Pararajasingham.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In an interview with Nilantha Ilangumuwa for the Sri Lanka Guardian in November 2012 ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” Fr. Emmanuel says he ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-lovesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese Buddhists. A similar love slogan was uttered by Prabakaran a month before LTTE killed Gamini Dissanayake.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Can we believe Father Emmanuel when he says he ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-lovesƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese Buddhists but gives a statement ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Prevent the colonization of the homeland of the Tamil people by the Sinhala majority communityƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚? Perhaps he is not aware that there are more Tamils living amongst the Sinhalese than there is in the North and is this ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-colonizationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ of Sinhala areas by Tamils if we were to use Father Emmanuels argument in reverse? Since LTTE ran a defact Tamil area for 30 years shouldnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t it have been the Tamils living amongst the Sinhalese to cry foul over ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-ethnic discriminationƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ (if there was any) not those living amongst their own people????
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Father Emmanuel may like to explain if he likes Sinhalese Buddhists so much why he chose to remain silent over LTTEƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s targeting of the sacred Sri Maha Bodiya killing Buddhists in prayer, or shooting at the Dalada Maligawa and would any human chop up with swords 30 student Buddhist priests at Aranthalawa in Amparai one after the other in 1987? Would a priest allow LTTE to attack Buddhist temples, or murder Buddhist priests in cold blood? With such guilt and blood on their hands can people like Father Emmanuel pretend to act like a saint ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” it is now clear all the killings of innocent civilians in Sri Lanka had the tacit approval of many Prabakarans ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” those living overseas and they may have even ordered such!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamil Hindu leaders unfortunately are caught in the same trap as the Sinhala Buddhist leaders and it would be good if they finally woke up to realities without being only immersed in acquiring wealth and power ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” that the Roman Catholic and Christian Church is out to destroy Buddhism and Hinduism in both Sri Lanka and India is the challenge ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” what is their counter-strategy?
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Church creates conflicts for Conversions a sinister plan that its loyal followers are totally oblivious to and do not play any role in ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” we do not find fault with any Christians or Catholics oblivious to the heinous designs of their leaders who have blood on their hands ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” those who go to Church to pray will never plan to kill people it is only others who use the Church as a mask and to this include the Sinhala Christians who have or want to anything to do with the LTTE!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Roman Catholic and Christian Church has exploited Tamil nationalism in Sri Lanka to strengthen its foothold in Tamil Nadu. LTTE was a tool of the West to balkanize the region and weaken the Tamil HINDU identity masquerading as fighting the Sinhalese Buddhists ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” the Sri Lanka armed forces made that an impossibility though the threats and challenges are far from over ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” given that the Tamil Hindus remain in slumber as well as the Sinhala Buddhist leaders!
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ How should we address the situation knowing the facts!

“The entire LTTE hierarchy was Christians.”
NOT TRUE.
Not because I’m Anglican but this is FACTUALLY NOT TRUE.
ALL the following were Hindus.
1. VP (his mother, father, sister, his wife and himself were ALL Hindus. His parents were the guardians of a Hindu Kovil in VVT. His first son was given a Christian name because of gratitude to a loyal VP asslicker who died saving him.)
You can see him performing Hindu rites as well.
2. Charles Anthony was also a Hindu (Charles Anthony Brigade boss.)
3. Dwarka – VP’s daughter not just had a Hindu name but was a very strong Hindu (Malathi Brigade boss).
4. Tamil Chelva – a Hindu
5. Karuna – a Hindu (one time #2).
6. Mahattaya – a Hindu
7. Soosai – a Hindu
8. Pottu Amman – #2 after KA, a Hindu
9. KP – #3 a Hindu. Nadesan a Hindu
10. Kundimani was a Hindu

It’s a good question to ask what is our attorney generals department doing regarding these two terrorists Emmanul and Suren?
They should be investigated and send arrest warrants.

Kudos to the author for exposing the Tigers in Sheep’s clothing taking refuge specially in Malaysia and the rest with the so-called International Community financing terror, destruction and verbal abuse. Humanity will have to start practicing their Philosophy/Religion if they are to survive the next decade. If not the Philosophy/Religion of Demoncracy will divert them to a life of Hollywood Drug Ascendance.

Hats off to Ranjan Ramanayaka! I am not a UNPer but he had the guts to call a duck a duck in parliament.
** If not the Philosophy/Religion of Demoncracy will divert them to a life of Hollywood Drug Ascendance.**
Democracy has its flaws, but it is a trillion times better than a barbaric stone age system were people are beheaded, amputated, stoned to death and lashed.

This response is written with the intent of finding Solutions to the so called Tamil Problem, and not intended to hurt anyones feelings. The intent is to go to the heart of the Tamil Problem and not be distracted by various other factors. The intent is to release Sri Lanka from a now internationalised “bondage” to solve the so called Tamil Problem, when Sri Lankans are NOTresponsible for the creation of such Tamil problems.
Tamils from the low caste sectors, if they are dabbling in politics and wherever they are from, hop from one religion to another and back to their first religion, depending on the situation they are presented with. Religion, whatever Religion, to the Tamil low caste people is just a tool to ERASE CASTE. No more, no less.
CASTE being the Problem for Tamil people, let us quit beating about the bush and look at the ‘Tamil Problem’ straight upfront. The CASTE structure unfortunately attached to the Hindu religion for over 3,000 yrs., is the problem for the Tamil people.
We think the Tamil Problem should be addressed at the Source, i.e. Tamil Nadu, India, where the Caste Problem is one of the worst in India. Sri Lanka is NOT the Source of the Tamil Problem. Do not attempt to make Sri Lanka pay for the Tamil Caste Problems of Tamil Nadu. It is pointless making out as if Sri Lanka is the problem, when the problem is entrenched in Tamil Nadu, India.
In Sri Lanka, we judge people mostly in the Buddhist tradition, i.e. “one is high born or low born according to ones actions”. In Sri Lanka, a great deal has been done for the Tamil people to help erase their caste bound traditions & mind set, at huge costs to all Lankans, paying dearly with life, money and reputation.
It is now time to set Sri Lanka FREE of the Caste based burdens of Tamil people.
The Tamil Struggle is to escape the CASTE STRUCTURE. In order to find solutions, we have to have some knowledge of the CASTE STRUCTURE of India. In order to Understand the Tamil Caste Problems, here are some Pointers.
(1) An extract from the internet re CASTE in India : “In 2001, the proportion of Dalit population was 16.2 percent of India’s total population. The Dalit population is broadly distributed across Indian states and districts. In 2001, the state of Punjab had the highest proportion of its population as Dalit, at about 29 percent, and the state of Mizoram had the lowest at nearly zero. The government of India recognises and protects them as Scheduled Castes. The term Dalit has been interchangeably used with term Scheduled Castes, and these terms include all historically discriminated communities of India out-caste and Untouchables.
While discrimination based on caste has been prohibited and untouchability abolished under the Constitution of India, discrimination andprejudice against Dalits in South Asia remains. Since 1947—its independence—India has implemented an affirmative policy of reservation, the scope of which was further expanded in 1974, to set aside and provide jobs and education opportunities to Dalits. By 1995, of all jobs in India, 17.2 percent of the jobs were held by Dalits, greater than their proportion in Indian population. In 1997, India democratically elected K. R. Narayanan, a Dalit, as the nation’s President. Many social organisations too have proactively promoted better conditions for Dalits through improved education, health and employment.
Dalits and similar groups are found in India, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In addition, the Burakumin in Japan, Cagots and Roma in Europe, Al-Akhdam in Yemen, Baekjeong in Korea and Midgan in Somalia are excluded from the surrounding community in much the same manner as the Dalits”.
(2) As for Tamil Nadu & Caste matters, FirstPost has an article : “Chennai: A Hindu caste group preventing their children from attending classes at a local school in southern Tamil Nadu because two Dalit women were posted to prepare the noon-meals has sent shockwaves through the state. More shocking was the response of the school and district administration, which transferred the women out of the school to mollify the community and bring the children back”.
This type of caste based incidents go on in Tamil Nadu. Another incident from Tamil Nadu : Los Angelese Times of Oct 1, 2012, reports re a group of low caste Dalit Tamils who trained to be Hindu priests, in keeping with the Constitution of India, have this to say : “Four years after completing the yearlong program, however, he and 206 mostly lower-caste classmates are still waiting for jobs as a lawsuit filed by Brahmin groups wends its way through India’s Supreme Court. While the state owns and runs most temples in Tamil Nadu, the suit says, it has no right to meddle in priest selection or administration. Angry and frustrated, the Dalit trainees say the long delay only underscores Brahmins’ entrenched power in Indian society.
“We’re all doing makeshift work to survive,” said Kesavan, 26, who, like many southern Indians, uses one name. “It’s a tough fight.”
Frustrating their ambitions are Brahmin religious groups, politically minded Hindu nationalists and traditionalists keen to defend one of the last overt structures protecting the 4,000-year-old caste system.
Traditionally, Dalits have occupied the bottom rung of this complex hierarchy. They are viewed as unclean and relegated to jobs such as collecting human waste in a country where two-thirds of households lack a sewer connection. Although outright discrimination in cities has eased in recent decades, with Dalits edging into business and politics, religion has remained largely off limits. And on the social front, customs and prejudice remain entrenched, especially in rural areas.
“The priests are the last vestige, the root of Brahmin power,” said S. Kirupanandasamy, a port executive and lawyer advising the trainees in their struggle for recognition. “We’re not asking them to appoint some thief to the temple. These boys are well-trained and qualified.”
The wannabe priests say they are not trying to take over India’s most famous temples or push Brahmins out. In fact, India has a significant priest shortage amid changing lifestyles that has left thousands of temples of all sorts shuttered. Rather, they just want jobs in some of Tamil Nadu’s 34,000 state-run temples, they say, in keeping with a constitution that outlaws caste and other discrimination.
The real problem isn’t Dalit impurity or tradition, they argue. Rather, it’s that Brahmins don’t want to share money or power.
Officially, priest salaries are modest, often $50 to $150 a month. But earnings from weddings, blessing ceremonies and funerals can be substantial. Top priests also rub shoulders with elite politicians, businessmen and socialites, opening various social and economic doors.
“They arrange deals with VIPs,” said Sathguru, 28, a Dalit who completed the course. “And they don’t want to let others in.”
(3) Re Tamil Dalit people, here are some statistics from Tamil Nadu, from an organisation called DACA. The DACA was established on the initiative of Father Antony Raj, a Jesuit who lives in India, himself a Dalit, a centre for development and solidarity for Dalits (DACA) has progressively been established in Madurai (Tamil Nadu). The long term aim of DACA is to make untouchability disappear and give back to Dalits their social dignity. To accomplish this, numerous authorisations were required as well as financial means. It also meant important building sites mobilising the energy and hope of numerous volunteers.
The DACA is situated in the suburbs of Madurai in the State of Tamil Nadu at the extreme South of India. Its activities are concentrated in the area around Madurai, Theni, Tirunelveli, Dindigul, Ramanathapuram and Tuticorin aiming at the Rural Dalit population since it is they who are the most subject to discrimination and social and economic injustices.
A few numbers from DACA :
There are 11 million Dalits in Tamil Nadu,
Which represents 20% of the regions’ population
50% of the Dalits live below the poverty rate
Activities and Ownership :
72% of Dalits are land workers,
7% of the land only belongs to them,
90% of Dalits own no land.
18% of Dalits are construction workers in building sites or roads.
These activities are season activities which encourages debts towards land-owners that run across the generations as well as child labour. As far as child labour is concerned, the region of Madurai ( where DACA is based) is famous for its match industry and fire-works industry that employ children for their agility (from the age of 8).
Infant mortality :
Infant mortality in rural areas is of 86.7 ‰ for the global population.
It raises to 104.2 ‰ for the Dalit community.
Literacy and Education Rates :
90% of Dalits in rural areas are illiterate whereas only 10% of the non Dalit community are. Women are especially concerned by this problem.
The situation of Women :
Doubly submitted to the burden of social structures because of their untouchability and their gender, the women Dalit are a group the DACA is paticularly concerned with. A number of programs are reserved for them (agricultural cooperatives, formation to become teachers or secretaries) so as to give them the means for a certain autonomy. Experience shows that they often reveal themselves to be very good managers and team leaders, unlike the men who are often prey to alcohol problems.

But LTTE is basically “Hindu” and hence the support of India
Our war party are Savite Tamils & Bhuddhis Sinhalese !!!
November 30th, 2012 at 9:15 am
Andy,
Your “war” parties are Low Caste Tamils vs High Caste Tamils.
Don’t cloud the issue – it won’t solve the problem.
Sinhala Buddhists had nothing to do with the Caste Problems of Tamils. Outside people are exploiting the situation, to the detriment of Tamils of Sri Lanka as well as all the Others, including Sinhala people.
November 30th, 2012 at 9:42 am
Or, better still, we can say that your Tamil War is war with IGNORANCE. The CASTE system was formed by the people of that time over 3,000 yrs ago to suit those times and unfortunately attached to the Hindu religion, making it seemingly intractable. Since it is a man made system, it can be removed. It should be done with harm to none.
What can be done in Tami Nadu ?
* Practice the 4 Great Yogas of Hinduism. They are free of Caste. (Yoga means ‘Yoke to reach God within”).
* Have Caste Free Zones in Tamil Nadu. Then there is no need for the low caste Tamil people to flee to other countries.

Your “war” parties are Low Caste Tamils vs High Caste Tamils.-I am not disagged with you ! but what happing in the real field is Savite (Tamils) & Bhuddist (Sinhalese) are killed each other for last 33 years to 17th of May 2009 !!!

Dear Andy,
We have gone through all this before. Please try to write proper English – I know you can do it when you want to. It is not easy to de-code your style of writing.
Anyway, it is not a Sinhala/Tamil problem. Both groups are human beings with human feelings. It is a problem of IGNORANCE of our true nature in relation to Truth/God/Allah within. There is no need to “demolish Hindu temples’. All Temples, Churches & Mosques are beautiful structures and should remain intact.
It is only that we must learn to ‘visit’ (Meditation) the Temple within us too, where our God of peace & love truly resides.
In the material world, almost all Sri Lankans are getting Food, Clothing & Shelter, the basic human needs. Plus FREE Education & Health Care, not available in some wealthy Democracies in the world.
In the Political sphere, the problem is that the Tamil leaders (now TNA) run to Tamil Nadu and Delhi govt. and various foreign countries and international organizations & religious bodies to tell lies about Lanka and make demands on Lanka that cannot be given such as a separate state for Tamils, or demands leading to such a state.
It is for our own protection that we have to know about Tamil Nadu society, as that area is our nearest land mass set in another country, India, and all the Tamil problems come from Tamil Nadu. It is also in our interests to know how to solve some the problems that affect Tamil Nadu, at least the problems that affect Sri Lanka via TN. The UN can pick it up from there. It is now only a question of when they will actually do it.

Fran,
LTTE was a symbol of GETTING BACK the Hindu caste system by Hindu Indians in SL.
Who was their BIGGEST enemy? Buddhists and Tamil Christians who disagreed with the caste system. But Tamil Christians are considered low caste generally belonging to the fishing caste. That was why some of them were recruited to the LTTE. But still MOST LTTE leaders and cadres were Hindus.
LTTE Hindu leaders cremated their dead according to Hindu traditions but built EMPTY cemeteries as propaganda hate things.
The following STRONGEST EVER ANTI-LTTE Tamils are/were Christians.
Lakshman Kadirgamar
Jeyaraj Fernandopulle
Sam Thambimuttu
Alfred Durraiappah
Hindu (Hindian) LTTE killed them all.
FISHING CASTE SJ Emmanuel and Kasippu Joseph do NOT have large support from Valla-alla-la Tamil racists which is good. They are at best dangerous racist jokers.
But Hindu Sambandan and the rest are dangerous murderers and terrorists.

YET another Tamil-Palestinian link. They shared suicide bomber technology. Now they share now to get Independence.
“Tim’s years as a Human Rights reporter have taken on many dimensions; he has rallied for a long list of cultures and populations and continues to every day, with a strong and direct concentration on the 2009 Genocide of Tamil Hindus and Christians in Sri Lanka. As a result of his long list of reports exposing war crimes against Tamil people, Tim was invited to be the keynote speaker at the FeTNA (Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America) Conference in Baltimore, in July 2012. This is the largest annual gathering of North American Tamils; Tim addressed more than 3000 people and was presented with a traditional Sri Lanka ‘blessed garland’ and a shawl as per the tradition and custom of Tamil Nadu
In a personal capacity, Tim has written 2,026 articles as of March 2012 for Salem-News.com since the new format designed by Matt Lintz was launched in December, 2005. Serving readers with news from all over the globe, Tim’s life is literally encircled by the endless news flow published by Salem-News.com, where more than 100 writers contribute stories from 23+ countries and regions.
Tim specializes in writing about political and military developments worldwide; and maintains that the label ‘terrorist’ is ill placed in many cases; specifically with the LTTE Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka, where it was used as an excuse to slaughter people by the tens of thousands; and in Gaza, where a trapped population lives at the mercy of Israel’s destructive military war crime grinder. At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide.” Tim Salem

Agree with Fran. Unfortunately the caste system forms the bedrock of Hinduism and originated in India and today is a system of trans generational privilege, backed up with pseudo ritual and arrogance. There is a deep spiritual vein in some branches if Hinduism and not all Hindus are casteist – but casteist Hindus have been opposed to Buddhist non-casteism for thousands of years – way before Christianity even began! Tamils like Fr Emmanuel and other Indians who converted to Christianity haven’t fully shed caste consciousness – hence their feelings of frustration of being discriminated as “low caste” by Hindus and also their animosity towards Sinhala Christians. Caste consciousness also encouraged Indians to see the colonial white westerners as above and beyond their society, like ‘demigods’ to be worshipped and placated to acheive personal gains and the Sinhalese and other native Sri Lankans as mere ‘outcastes’ or ‘obstacles’ in their way. The latter has roots in Tamil Nationalism, which has little to do with Christianity. What is confusing is that the Hindu deference to the colonials has interacted with Evangelical Christianity and western neocon type opportunists who see the world entirely in terms of ‘good and evil’. If anyone doesn’t beleive as they do, they must be evil and need to be converted or defeated. Not all Christians are evangelical, (just as not all Muslims are not Wahabist). Evangelical mentality has been a boon for the LTTE type Tamils, hell-bent on destroying Sri Lanka. Blaming the entire problem on Christians may be comforting to less intelligent people, but is not the full picture. Let me share a true story. A Tamil Christan activist in the west (I can’t remember his name) was said to have once been asked by a Sinhala Christian in his church how he can reconcile terrorism and murder of innocent people with Christs teaching of non-violence and forgiveness, to which he replied:
“I am a Tamil first, and a Christian only second”.
(He was careful not to say this in front of non-Sri Lankan members of his church). When the Sinhalese person later reminded him of this comment in front of non-Sri Lankan members of his church, in classic LTTE style he denied ever saying it – and instead accused the Sinhalese person of being “anti-Tamil”! Unfortunately his blaming tactic worked that time. Such are their tactics.

Only a Retarded, Egocentric, Delusional could believe Democracy is a trillion times better than a barbaric stone age system where people are beheaded, amputated, stoned to death and lashed. The mighty Demoncracy enforcing their WMD on the weaker nations. Do these people still live in a stone age village mentality, access to a dingy net-cafe; blinded to the world around them. Stupidity has its limits and displaying them in public is outrages.
In the pages of history there lives no city more glamorous than Babylon. Its very name conjures visions of wealth and splendour. Its treasures of gold and jewels were fabulous. One naturally pictures such a wealthy city as located in a suitable setting of tropical luxury, surrounded by rich natural resources of forests and mines. Such was not the case. It was located beside the Euphrates River, in a flat, arid valley. It had no forests, no mines not even stone for building. It was not even located upon a natural trade route. The rainfall was insufficient to raise crops. Babylon is an outstanding example of people’s ability to achieve great objectives, using whatever means are at their disposal. All of the resources supporting this large city were human-developed. All of its riches were human-made.

Openly accepting BARBARIANISM!!
A real retard. Very good. Otherwise how can one tiny DEMOCRATIC nation beat 7 MASSIVE stone age Islamic countries and force them to worship the IDF in the desert in 1973?

Wahabism has now married Tamil Elamism.
We need to kill BOTH by PITTING them against each other.
There is no better, skilled, EFFECTIVE strategists against them than the “M” secret service. Get their help. We need the devil to fight the devil.
But the foolish govt. will not until sh*t hits the fan.

“Sources from Jaffna University of Sri Lanka say that the students of the majority Sinhala community have begun to leave the tension stricken university in the Tamil dominated city.”
They have been threatened by Tamil students. No army in Jaffna to protect them now.
It is happening once again after 35 years later.
But Tamil students are still in Colombo university!!! So who is at fault, Sinhalese or Tamils?
Jaffna is the racist den of SL ALWAYS opposed to INTEGRATION, PEACE and RECONCILIATION.
Have a multi ethnic Jaffna university or close the damn thing down until they are ready to embrace harmony.
By allowing it to become 100% Tamil only from 99% is a crime. Teach them reconciliation the hard way. Otherwise we are heading for a REPETITION.
