In my previous article which was ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Diabetics and the way to be rid off itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
Posted on February 4th, 2013; it explained the need for the local manufacture of ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-BenfotiamineƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
Here I will explain the need to manufacture locally what is known as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-AnthocyaninsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.
Anthocyanins, are a large water-soluble pigment group found in Baobab fruits fibers known as monkey bread.
These pigments give brilliant color ranging from scarlet pink to absolute red.
They consist of a backbone known as anthocyanidin which is bound to one of three sugars: arabinose, glucose, or galactose.

In Chemistry:-
Anthocyanidin plus a sugar molecule leads to an anthocyanin.
They are the largest group of water-soluble pigments in the plant kingdom and belong to the family of compounds known as flavonoids.
They have a wide range of biological activities including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial (against immune deficiencies) and anti-cancer activities. In addition they display a variety of effects on blood vessels, platelets and lipoproteins able to reduce the risk of coronary heart diseases.

Tried to buy Baobab fruits powders but suspect to be adulterated as three different brands taste not the same.I think blue berries and black currents are as good.It helps me to fight the nasal blocks due to allergies. There must be similar fruits in tropical Sri Lanka? I was told it’s good to eat fruits of the berry family.

I think mangoes are as good as my mum had one or two cancers, nose and colon but she survived all of them. She was fed up going for treatments to Maharagama due to the time and distance. She acquired the habit of eating mangoes and waraka daily if possible,as that reminded of me,who left for UK as a very young man. While I was in Sri Lanka I preferred fruits like mango and warka to the staple foods and she began to eat in sympathy with me though I was a rebel in the family. It seems that mango has cancer fighting qualities. Therefore the good doctor must look in to benifits of eating mangoes.
