Minister Deepak Obhrai has difficulty to recognize Sri Lanka curbing world terrorism

Minister Deepak Obhrai, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in his effort to correct Scott TaylorƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s article ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Too timid on terrorƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, which he feels is simply not an accurate reflection of CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s efforts to curb global terrorism, missed a big chunk of the real story.
This is silly, as Minister Obhrai knows that Canada has difficulty to accept that Sri Lanka is the only country to eliminate the most ruthless terrorists in the world, the Tamil Tigers, on 19 May 2009.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And they did it single handed.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ These terrorists perfected the art of suicide bombing with a suicide body pack but also assassinated two heads of state Rajiv Gandhi of India and President Premadasa of Sri Lanka, and massacred thousandsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ of innocent civiliansƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ duringƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 27 bloody years of the war.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Tamil Tigers were the only terrorists group who not only had aƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ conventional armyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ on the ground, but also had a sea wing and an air wing with four Czech ZLIN-143 planes. Sri Lanka bettered the NATO forces that have failed miserably in Afghanistan trying to eliminate the Taliban which they have been trying for 11 years.
So what is Canada doing to the island nationƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that was the giant killer, eliminating the Tamil Tigers in 30 months when they accepted the challenge on 26 July 2006, when these terrorists blocked the Mavil Aru anicut cutting the supply of water to nearly 30,000 acres of cultivation by poorƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sinhalese farmers and depriving drinking water to 15,000 Sinhalese farmer families? Canada is now after a pound of flesh of Sri Lanka accusing the Government as war criminals for having got rid of them, and have now turned out to be the most unfriendly Commonwealth nation of Sri Lanka to appease their Tamil constituents.
Perhaps, Minister Obhrai would include Sri Lanka as a player in fighting global terrorism, and explain CanadaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s relationship and reactionƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ with Sri Lanka for eliminating Tamil Tiger terrorists who were supported by nearly 300,000 Tamils from the Greater Toronto Area, where Conservatives won quite a few seats defeating the Liberal incumbents at the last federal election.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The fact remains that when it comes to Sri Lanka eliminating Tamil Tiger terrorists,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the most ruthless terrorists in the world, the Canadian-Tamil voice in domestic politics becomes a formidable factor whether to tell Sri Lanka patting its back, ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Good show for eliminating the Tamil Tigers, way to go, Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚, or not, by our Conservative Prime Minister and his caucus members.

I think definitely and primarily it is the US,UK,EU,Canada, Australia, Norway and HRW, Amnesty International and the likes of Channel 4, Independent et. al. it is they who are primarily against Sri Lanka. The LTTE supporters in the west are secondary and are actually a useful tool for the US,UK,EU,Canada and co. This has been sadly very clear for a very long time now.
However as a Sri Lankan I am very glad we have peace in Sri Lanka between the sinhala and tamil people and we are living in harmony now. The US,UK,EU,Canada club does not like that. They don’t want the sinhala, tamil,muslim peoples unity and will do anything to destroy the present prevailing harmony in the country and are trying everything to destroy the peaceful environment in the country. The US,UK,EU,Canadas behaviour proves this beyond any doubt. It is all about divide and rule for them.
Yes it is high time the Sri Lankan govt countered this bullshit, its getting tiresome this UNHRC bullshit meetings to haul Sri Lanka up for this or that trumped up charges.
