Reconciliation : A wonderful story
Posted on February 22nd, 2013

The breadwinner of this family was a member of the LTTE and he fought against the Sri Lanka Army in the final battle in 2009 and killed in action. In 2013 some members of the Sri Lanka Army volunteered to build a house for the former militant’s remaining family members. We hear a lot of bad stories about the war and atrocities . This is one of the best stories of post war reconciliation. The media should focus on positive stories as this for the people to unite and live in peace. Otherwise the societies would go in to the vicious cycle of violence.

Very good work by the army but this is not a good example of reconciliation because RECONCILIATION WORKS BOTH WAYS.

What has this Tamil family done for the army in return?

    That is the important thing.

    Most probably voted for TNA.

THAT IS WHY NOW I AM WORRIED ABOUT SPENDING ALL OUR MONEY TO REBUILD NORTH WHICH WAS DESTROYED BY TAMIL TERRORISTS WITH THE HELP OF ORDINARY TAMILS

BEFORE PROCEEDING GOVT SHOULD ABOLISH THE “curse” THE 13TH. OTHERWISE WE ARE IN DANGER. WE SHOULD NOT MAKE THEM POWERFUL AGAIN . THIS IS ANOTHER WAY OF MAKING THEM POWERFUL LIKE RANIL MADE THEM POWERFUL.

    APATAMA KELAWAGANNA WEDAK NOWEIDA?
