A REQUEST TO THE RAJAPAKSE GOVERNMENT

The whole credit of ending three decades of terrorism and safeguarding the lives of its people goes to the President Rajapakse and his government without any argument. Without doubt, President Rajapakse is the most courageous leader Sri Lanka ever had after the independence and can treat as the second father of the nation after Hon. D. S. Senanayake.

Even after defeating the terrorism successfully by militarily means, the government has a bigger challenge today to overcome the international political pressure exerted by the western leaders who are being bought financially and politically by the remnants of the powerful LTTE diaspora.

In order to face these crucial challenges bravely and to govern the country systematically and methodically the Sri Lankan government also should adhere to certain strict disciplines and principles which should be transparent to the public and the world.

Unfortunately today the law and order of the country is spearheading to a catastrophic situation sadly. The regime should not allow its members to take the law and order to their hands and act like gods in the society. Nobody wanted or expected a corrupted government after recovering from a terrible period of terrorism. Nobody likes to see members of a government which liberated the country from a brutal terrorist organization, act like thugs and robbers. The president shall implement strict governance in order to protect the law and order of the country without delay.

There are few incidents that can be noted as examples which took place recently which no decent citizen would approve, such as;

  • Minister Mervin SilvaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s embarrassing disgraceful actions for a longer period including a recent murder and inaction of the government yet
  • Transfer of honest and efficient DIG Latif who took firm actions against corrupted politicians from Monaragala to Badulla
  • Safeguard of murderer Duminda Silva who is a main leader of drug dealings in Sri Lanka
  • Failure to promptly punish the murderous Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Sampath Vidanapathirana who allegedly murdered a British tourist and raped his Russian girl who has started his old antics once again

Above are just a few of current incidents and hopefully the government would act with more responsibly and take appropriate actions to earn good name for the people.

Also the 13th Amendment which is a time bomb itself within the constitution shall also be repealed without any delay. There is no need of being loyal to India anymore for any reason as they are preparing to vote against Sri Lanka in Geneva for the second time again in March.

We shall act bravely for the betterment of Sri Lanka now and save her from danger.

May all the necessary courage be with the Rajapakse regime to correct the errors and take firm and fair actions to safe guard Sri Lanka to eternal victory!
