Sri Lanka that liberated nearly 300,000 Tamil civilians from the clutches of a so-called Tamil leader and liberator, who, on the contrary, was using the Tamil civilians as a human shield against the Sri Lankan governmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s war of liberation is being hounded out at every possible forum, regional as well as international, as having committed war crimes. Foremost among those who lead the anti-Sri Lanka gangs are the Tamil politicians in Tamil Nadu such as Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha and Vaiko.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Emboldened by the stand adopted and the statements made by the Tamilian leaders in Tamil Nadu, who want the rest of the world to believe that they are spending all their energies to ensure that Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Tamils get equal rights as the members of the Sinhala population, the supporters of Tamil Eelam, LTTE and other such boisterous elements in Tamil Nadu have now started manhandling or physically attacking anyone or anything connected to Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ On 18 March, a Buddhist monk who was travelling from New Delhi through Chennai was attacked by Tamilian thugs in Tamil Nadu. Prior to that, another Sri Lankan Buddhist monk, who had been living in New Delhi for over one and a half years, but who was unfortunate enough to embark on a visit Tanjavur and Tiruchi on a study tour with his fellow students, was singled out and manhandled.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The premises of the Mihin Lanka agent and those of Bank of Ceylon in Tamil Nadu were destroyed by unruly elements some time back. A Tamil relative of the President of Sri Lanka had to cut short his visit and return to Sri Lanka because of the threats by Tamilians in Tamil Nadu.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The open hostilities that the Tamilians in Tamil Nadu have been engaged against Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka are numerous, and go far beyond the few listed above. Sri Lankans should with no further delay stop all dealings with Tamil Nadu. One finds it difficult to understand how or why many of the so-called Buddhists in Sri Lanka consider it proper to visit many Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu to ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”receive blessingsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ from Hindu gods. In addition to the expectation of favours from gods, especially of another religion, being ludicrous, to continue to visit places where they get assaulted is the height of absurdity.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sri Lanka can survive without the patronage and any commercial dealing with Tamilians in Tamil Nadu. Some Sri Lankans may even venture out to state that Sri Lanka could be a cleaner and less smelly country without the typical Tamilian of Tamil Nadu visiting the emerald isle.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ All that Sri Lanka has been doing for the past many years and decades is to turn the other cheek when it got slapped on the right.
