ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was always a forgone conclusion that despite all the hooing and haaing byƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the likes of Jayalalitha, Vaiko and Karunanidhi to name some. over Sri Lankan matters relative to Tamils,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ India would not toe the line with theirƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ agitations which are plainly visible as linked to the pro LTTE Global Tamil diaspora. This seems somewhat reprehensible and contentious as today inƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  Sri Lanka there are many TamilsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  who have shed their shackled past links with the LTTE and are returning to a life of normalcy quite happy to accept the programs towards resettlement offered by the Government of Sri Lanka which speaks volumes against the motley mindset of the Tamil Nadu politicos namedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ who should really find better things to do with their time.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ To add to the positive side of good relations between India and Sri lanka which most unfortunately these political adversaries of Sri Lanka deemable as a bunch of agitated clowns at times with no real political pedigree like the Gandhis, Nehrus etc continually try to disrupt,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the Indian Government has rejectedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  a Tamil Nadu Assembly resolution on Sri Lanka that called for slapping sanctions against Sri Lanka and holding a referendum to create a separate Tamil Eelam in the country which really sounds like a joke orchestratedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by a trio of clowns but of course fuelled by the Global Tamil Diaspora or parts thereof with no rocket science neededƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ .

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ When IndianƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid flatly rejected the Tamil Nadu government resolution that had asked the Central Government to stop treating Sri Lanka as a friendly nation and slap economic sanctions while demanding a referendum for a separate Tamil Eelam,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  he has taken the only viable option as a response in that India maintains cordial relations with Sri Lanka despite the UNHRC impasse of blunders which India in all probabilities will eventually come to regret as it is based purely on the coercion of certain Western powers of which the USA and Canada have a predominant hand in whereƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ these countries too appear to be swayed by the power of the Global TamilƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ diaspora and its unmitigatedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  capacity for innuendo and false presentations which at times are the furthest from the truth and tangibility.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Perhaps dashing the hopes of the Tamil Nadu politicians, whenƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in an interview to CNN-the American News carrier,ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  IBN Minister Khurshid has unequivocally stated that”ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ the Indian Government considers the very strong feelings in Tamil Nadu and those are not entirely “out of sync with” what many people in the world

(noting a degree of parochiality) think but the Government believes that its negotiations, the dialogue with Sri Lanka and the effort it has made with Sri Lanka are equally important.” elaborates where India’s response to Sri LankaƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ is directed and in plain sight not a dance to the tunes of Tamil Nadu! This quite significantly so when asked” if the Centre was rejecting the three crucial aspects of the resolution – declaring the country unfriendly, slapping economic sanctions and holding a referendum- adopted by Tamil Nadu Assembly on March 27, ” where the Hon.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Minister said a firm no to each demand.

“There is no question of accepting that and that is not the only state that has a stake in this. What about the other states? There are many other assemblies. The rest of India is not supporting this,” the MinisterƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  has saidƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to further moot the solidarity India has maintained towards which the Nation of Sri Lanka needs to be responsiveƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  in acclamation. The minister has further said that “If all of India was supporting it, it would be another matter. But if one state supports something we are sensitive to their concerns, but we don’t have to necessarily accept everything they say,” he stressed where the message sent to Tamil Nadu whether it is accepted or not is implicit.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Tamil Nadu Assembly unanimously adopted the resolution urging the Centre to slap economic embargo on Colombo till the “suppression” of Tamils was stopped and those responsible for “genocide and war crimes” faced an international probe where the terms “suppression “, “Genocide” andƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ” Warcrimes” quite obviouslyƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  are taken out of context.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ On the strength of all this it is perhaps also time appropriate that the ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Indian Government takes appropriate steps~ stringent at best~ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ to curb the unnecessary intimidation of Sri Lankan travellers, sports personalities, students, members of the diplomatic corpsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and Buddhist priests to Tamil Nadus as it seems a crying shame that irresponsible individuals calling themselves politicians from Tamil Nadu appear to be fomenting and inciting hatred against innocent and well meaning Sri Lankans choosing to go there for various reasons and all in good faith which seems something the likes of Jayalalitha, Vaiko, Karunanidhi and a host of others have never heard of!

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ And it needs to be reiterated in the best interests of all concerned and towardsƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ a greater understanding by those unaware or marginally so,

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ that Tamil Nadu does not execute Indian Federal Government Foreign Policy as India has clearly stated over the ongoing Issue ofƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ anti Sri Lankan sentimentƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ and intimidatory action against the Nation of Sri Lanka per se!ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

Since when did flybynight politicians who are more akin to circus clowns than conscientious politicians tell Sovereign Sri Lanka what to do? Are they over reacting to the Ramayana folklore where some monkey God is said to have penetrated Lankan defences to retrieve something that allegedly belonged in India?Sure sounds like a bunch of monkeys of the 21st century aping( no pun intended )their betters for lack of politicaol savvy or better things to do with their idle time! Whoever it was that suggested punitive action against their obstreperous behaviour was surely on the right track!
