The Supreme Court yesterday directed the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to expeditiously realise the personal assets, including shares belonging to the Key Director of the Golden Key Credit Card Company, since they had violated the bail conditions, as per Supreme Court and High Court orders, relevant to them, whereby they agreed to contribute their personal assets towards the settlement of the security deposit balances.

The Directors are J. L. B. Kotalawala, Mrs. S. P. C. Kotalawala, S. K. M. Perera, J. Z. N. Fernando, D. G. S. R. Sumanasekera, A. D. Jegasoothy, Mrs. P. K. Karunanayake, S. T. Karunaratne and W. G. B. Ranaweera.

The Court ordered that the Committee of Chartered Accountants be discontinued and thanked them for their services.

Until the value of the balance security deposits, outstanding up to Rs. 300,000, are settled, all security deposit holders, shall be entitled to equal distribution, towards their respective balances. Until this level of security deposit settlement is reached, no dividends shall also be payable by Golden Key, the Court ordered.

The Bench comprised Chief Justice Mohan Pieris, Justice P. A. Ratnayake and Justice Priyasarth Dep.

Professor M. Suffrullah appeared for aggrieved depositors of Golden Key.

great work! this should be lesson to the whole world run by corrupt filthy rich people who exploit the ignorance of vulnerable ordinary people.
now get the ministers, politicos and directors of corporations and departments who take bribes and commissions. mahinda rajapakse must open an account to finance the poor e.g. a compulsory commission is paid for very oil tanker off loaded in sri lanka. divert those commissions and similar commisions to a fund to look after the poor. get at ministers who openly ask for commissions when deals are done with foriegners. have spies to do the job, jus saying ‘there is a bribery commision is not enough!!!!!’
ask swiss bank to freeze all accounts of sri lankan politicians and administrators and exose them. mr days will be numbered if he ignores these corrupt people. when i wrote about the kudawe river illegal sand mining published in sunday island, i was told by people there that they apparently have increased the operation and that’s how out man mahinda rajapakse is ruling the country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
