Not being a political-scientist you have confused me with your reporting in the news item, Anti-terror bill debate wraps up, when you say:
ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-In the House of Commons, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said terrorist threats were unfortunately a part of the global reality.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”¹…”Our Government is committed to workingƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚¦with our police and security agencies to ensure we do everything we can to keep Canada safeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢. Harper said.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚
Where you lost me was it is this same Prime Minister who has refused to attend the Commonwealth Summit in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in November, because according to him there were human rights violations committedƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ by the Sri Lankan forces during the last five months of theƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ 27 year Tamil Tiger terrorist war which killed and assassinated 100,000 innocent civilians together with Rajiv Gandhi of India, President Premadasa of Sri Lanka and his Tamil Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadiragamar.
They are now trying to haulƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ in front of an International War Crimes Court, the Sri Lankan armed forces commanders who eliminated Tamil Tigers terrorism in Sri Lanka on 19 May 2009 to keep Sri Lanka safe, just like what Prime MinisterƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Stephen Harper wants to keep Canada safe from terrorism.
Strange it may sound, all this is true in the new world order where western big bloc politicians feel that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Might is Right.ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I am confused.

It is very good to go after the Criminals who committed War Crimes.
However, there should be a single standard, not double standard.
Everybody knows that the USA ( Iraq, libya, Syria etc), Soviet Union (Afghanistan), China (Tibet), India (Kashmir, Bangla Desh, Sri lanka) are the biggest trouble makers, and USA is by far the worst.
It is all about their OWN SELF INTEREST.
World War 1: First Major Colonial Imperialist War
World War 2: Second Major Colonial Imperialist War
Now, The Major Economic Imperialist War fought between USA, Russia, EU and China. India is too fragmented, full of mythological beliefs like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity.
Where does Sri Lanka stand in this Global Imperialist Power Play? They will use Sri Lanka the way they they used the divided Arab Countries.

We have to learn from Tamilians. In Jaffna when someone dies the family hires PROFESSIONAL CRYING B*TCHES. They howl and cry as loud as a jet engine in orgasm !! Then the sorrow is turned to hatred and it is turned to justification of various benefits.
This is the same thing they do with war DEFEAT.
We should do same legally.
Imperial Japan bombed Colombo, Trinco, etc. Chased away people in fear. We need Imperial Japan to WRITE OFF their debt to us in compensation.
Imperial Britain/Portugal/Netherland destroyed our economy, temples, etc. We want $500 billion for that. They brought Tamilians to SL. They should take them back.
Imperial Endia invaded us in 1987 and financed the LTTE that costed us $250 billion.
Canada, UK, etc. Tamilian Diarrhea bought weapons at $300 million a year for LTTE that costed SL $ 400 billion.
We want this money.
I think we should seriously start this. MOST COUNTRIES will support us because MOST of them also went through this.

Lorenzo, fyi, Our families had dealings with Japanese re. getting rid of british and not damaging SL’s infrastructure at war time… Yes, Japs came but huge civilian casualties avoided.
Even today Japanese industrialist have not forgotten what our families done.. They call me mr peace, which was tribute to my grand father.
Our main aid come from 2 countries, Japan and Germany with out strings… They are true friends.

SL’s biggest CREDITORS are in the order. We have to REPAY these LOANS.

Japan (mainly JBIC)
International Monetary Fund
World Bank
United States
India
European Union
Since 2006 CHINA replaced Japan as our BIGGEST DONOR. Why? Because NO STRINGS attached to Chinese help !!
But given Japan’s friendship (despite UNHRC) I’m willing to offer a discount – just write off the debt to poor SL. It is PEANUTS for them. No need to PAY anything.

Japan (Akashi) was part of the COCHAIRS MAFIA that forced SL to have peace with LTTE to get aid.
In 2003 they promised $4.5 billion loans to SL and LTTE, IF SL entered into a lasting peace deal with LTTE.
Thank g~d it collapsed. Otherwise we have to REPAY this loan as well while LTTE would have wasted it’s share on weapons.
But China is different. It gave us weapons, ports, roads, aid, etc. WITHOUT ANY strings attached at a time when COCHAIRS deserted us.
Now China has offered to CONVERT our debt to EQUITY. Then we don’t have to pay but we have to make China a permanent development partner which is even better.

Sirih, Japan will provide aid and help to us but Japan will NEVER cross the USA as it is their counterbalance against China. Even economically powerful countries like Japan and Australia huddle behind the USA as they feel they need a big power to protect them. What chance do we have without a big power? (although Australia is slowly moving into the China axis due to economic compulsions).
If USA and its allies decide to dismember Sri Lanka, Japan will just watch and perhaps shed a few momentary tears and then think of their Chinese threat and forget all about us.

Let us NOT get sidetracked into pros and cons of other events and other nations.
Let us FOCUS and debate the issue raised by Asoka Weerasinghe, which is about Canadian Priminister Stephen Harper’s hypocrisy and threat to destabilise the Commonwealth Conference in Colombo.
We know that:
1. It was a Canadian Govt that made unaudited contributions of millions of dollars to the Tamil terrorist front organisations, every month.
2. It was a bunch of Canadians that bought enough explosives from Ukrain and other countries to last for several decades and shipped to Sri Lanka for the use of Tamil terrorists .
3. It was Canadians that planned, funded and executed through their LTTE agents, the bombing of the Central bank of Sri Lanka killing and maiming several thousands of innocent office workers and tourists.
4. Now it is Canada that is leading the Western Hypocrites to punish SriLanka for destroying in the battle field the most venomous, brutal, corrupt and cunning LTTE terrorists that destroyed the nation for several decades, with help from the Tamil diaspora and their Western friends.
5. We know that the Western Nations with the help of their bogus human rights agencies, hauled the Liberian Leader to the War Crimes Tribunal for aiding and abeting the terrorists in a neighbouring country. On the same token, are not the foreign leaders in India, Norway, Canada, UK and the Tamil Tiger diaspora operating from USA, Canada, Norway, EU, India and Australia, guilty of similar and worse war crimes committed in SriLanka by the terrorists?
If so, when will these war criminals be dragged in to the Hague for their crimes? Or is the Hague just another Western instrument to bully the non-aligned nations like Yugoslovia, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran, Egypt, Sri Lanka etc?

Sooriarachi, can you please form a government and adopt a proactive policy to have these terrorists that reside internationally (including members of the UK, Canadian, Indian and Norwegian governments) and Adele charged with aiding and abetting terrorism and war crimes?
