Sri Lankan Buddhists condemns Mahabodhi Temple bomb blasts

The Buddhist world must condemn the bombings that took place inside the Mahabodhi Temple in India. We appreciate the prompt statement issued by Indian Prime Minister well ahead of all others though the fact that 9 bombs had been placed strategically inside areas that would have shaken and shocked the worldƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s Buddhists go to show a bigger ploy at play. It is a very clear signal that Buddhism and Buddhists are now under attack as the West now prepares to enter Buddhist hinterland in their post-Middle East agenda for world supremacy.
It is also very clear that the same media that was complicity in the fictitious and bogus military interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Libya, Sudan, Haiti, Somalia and now Syria with Iran as next target is now working overtime to completely castigate Buddhists in whatever ways possible using media and their authors.
While we await investigations to conclude who was responsible we do not rule out the sinister methods that the West uses to fast forward their objective and it is obvious that they are looking to pitch the Buddhists against the moderate Muslims in a new geopolitical tool they have found in nurturing and importing radical Islam throughout the world. Today, Muslims themselves have become victims of Muslims in a tragic state of affairs and Muslims find themselves unable to oppose because the manner they are kept bonded to Islam ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” it is this that the West is now taking unfair advantage of. We cannot trust leaders because their motivation is only based on their desire to remain in power therefore it is for the masses to be intelligent enough to weigh the scenarios ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” trusting in media is nothing anyone is advised to do. Seek and find the truth for oneself is a better option to follow.
Buddhism is far more than a religion ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” many may think by blowing up a statue because it stands against iconoclasm they can diminish and kill the Buddhists but they are wrong. In fact, Buddhism is a philosophy based on an individualsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ journey for truth and it is that self-discovery that today finds appeal for a lot of people in the West who despite being in their own faith are applying the teachings of Lord Buddha to the way they live. We therefore see a very strong Buddhist revival taking place throughout the world and no clash of civilization can stop the power that Buddhism can offer to man as he is enveloped in lies and deceits that are woven by a handful of people out to destroy the world and humanity.
While we condemn in no uncertain terms the very low tactic used to give a message to the Buddhists, the Buddhists cannot be broken that easily ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢¢”š¬…” in fact the message Buddhists now give to all those attempting to denigrate Buddhists and Buddhism is that we are far more stronger than people give credit for and we are awake to the mechanizations at play.

Islamic terrorists did it.
UNP whitewashes them!! And blames the govt. for it!!
Disgusting.
IF Islamics think they will get anything good out of this they are sadly mistaken.

Did you know, that west is behind some Islamic fundamentalists who take over the countries ?

This is definitely the work of LTTE in Endia, not Islamaniacs. Islamaniacs already rule Bodhgaya and they don’t have to bomb their home.

SG,
Ramazan starts this Wednesday. That is why they did this (that’s how the Islamics celebrate by bombing, shooting, killing goats, screaming in loudspeakers).
e.g. Bali is in world’s largest Islamic populated country. But the Islamics bombed it!!
LOGIC does NOT work with those DUMBOS.

Wonder what the security arrangements are for the Mahabodhi Temple ? Obviously inadequate.
Also, Sri Lanka authorities should look into the safety of our archeological sites and have the Ministry of Defence in charge of these sites. Recently, so called ‘treasure hunters’ had vandalised an archeological site. What are our heavily paid PCs doing about such needs in our country ?

Apparently the Bihar Government had gotten warnings from the Indian Intelligence Bureau that the Mahabodhi Temple was a target. Doesn’t say much for their security measures if men can go about planting 8 or more bombs.

The attack on the Mahabodhi Temple is deplorable but I do not agree with the conclusion for this act. Obviously whoever did this act did not intend to destroy the Temple and the Bodhi tree next to it which Siddhartha became the Buddha. The bombs were meant to cause chaos and terror including grabbing headlines. The structure was not damaged. It also happens to coincide with the 78th Birthday of the Dalai Lama. Most of those injured were Tibetan monks. I doubt if China is involved but as Prime Minister Manmohan once stated ” the biggest threat to India is the Maoists”. There is a strong possibility that the Maoists did this act not against Buddhism but against New Delhi and the Dalai Lama.

BW,
Already a MUJAHIDDIN man has been arrested over this.
“While four blasts took place inside the Mahabodhi Temple complex, three occurred in Karmapa monastery, one each near the famous 80-ft Buddha statue and at the bus stand near bypass.”
3 more bombs were disposed.

Islamic rabbits are impatient. They see multiplying taking too long. So they do these things to expedite stealing other people’s countries. Funny thing is after stealing other people’s countries they create hell on earth in those countries as you can see what is happening in afganisthan, pakesthan, egypt etc.. Religion of peace indeed!

I blame India’s constitution for such “lack of law and order” in a country of 1 billion people but 20% of it shameless monkeys, who rule it some more. “Bomb Culture” was invented by Indians and introduced to Lanka by using their Tamil betrayers. How could the 13A thrust into JR’s Adho by Indian mob be a “law and order restoration tool” when it simply is an Indian lingam?
Blame it on Islamaniacs or blame it on Tamilnuts, they all are creation of Indian Lingams.

Little by Little, the INDIANIZATION of Sri Lanka PROCEEDS AT A FURIOUS PACE!
Now State Governments of India are getting into the ACT ALSO, even as the Indian Federal Government imposes its Devolution Strategy to Slice & Dice Sri Lanka into a motley collection of warring autonomous Provinces!
Why is the GOSL turning a BLIND EYE to ALL THIS activities by Foreigners in our country?

Design set for Sita temple in Sri Lanka
By A. Srivathsan

Madhya Pradesh government’s initiative near Nuwara-Eliya; estimated to cost Rs. 2 crore
The Madhya Pradesh government is all set to start building a Sita temple, designed in the South Indian architectural style, at Divurumpola in Sri Lanka. Sita is believed to have undergone her agni pareeksha (test by fire) at this spot. The design has been finalised.
Divurumpola is near Nuwara-Eliya, in the central part of the country.
The State government has been pursuing the proposal with Sri Lanka since 2012. Early this year, it commissioned a Bangalore-based firm of architects to do the design, and assigned the State Tourism Department to coordinate the project.
The architects concerned, who did not want to be identified, told The Hindu they had chosen the Vijayanagara style. The proposed complex would comprise three shrines, a tank and an ornate pillared hall.
Madhya Pradesh Tourism officials said the estimated cost is about Rs. 2 crore. Tenders would be invited shortly.
Since 2007, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority has been promoting sites associated with the Ramayana. It had identified about 50 such sites and proposed plans to develop them to attract Indian tourists.
However, a few Sri Lankan historians had objected to this project because they thought it distorted archaeological evidence and alleged that these sites were mere inventions.
The Sri Lankan press had earlier reported that Ravana Balaya, a Sinhalese Buddhist organisation, had demanded that a statue for Ravana, the mythical Lankan king associated with the Ramayana tale, should be built before constructing a Sita temple.
They explained that they are not opposed to the construction the temple, but wanted the government to honour Ravana first.
