Tamil National Alliance leaders headed by R. Sambandan, Abraham Sumanthiran and Chief Ministerial Candidate Wigneswaran have gone on the defensive all of a sudden. This itself reveals that things are not going so smoothly on the TNA camp or campaign trail.
TNA-â„¢s 2013 manifesto has not shown to be anything different to its manifestos released in 2001, 2004, 2010. If it did not defend itself in any of these previous years what is the reason for the current stand? Is it possible that there are some cracks in the TNA? Will its chief ministerial candidate soon find out that being a judge fitting into the role of a politician is not as easy as the former army commander found out not so long ago and to be careful of putting one-â„¢s foot in the mouth may be a lesson that this former justice should take from the former army commander too. When C V Wigneswaran says -Ëœpolitics came after me-â„¢ how could it be any different to what happened to the former army commander!
When C V Wigneswaran calls Prabakaran a freedom fighter he is not only nullifying the ban by 32 foreign nations including the US, UK and India, he is ridiculing the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, placing as insignificant the deaths of over 250 Tamil men of learning and also embarrassing UN Human Rights Chief Navi Pillay who confirmed that there is no point in glorifying LTTE terrorism.
When Wigneswaran calls Prabakaran a freedom fighter how different is this from what TNA confirmed in its manifestos?

When C V Wigneswaran says -Ëœwe intend-â„¢ -¦ to bring sunshine to the Tamil Community -” he has forgotten that his -Ëœfreedom fighters-â„¢ the LTTE had US DOLLARS 300million annual profits to bring -Ëœsunshine-â„¢ but chose to give sunshine only to the LTTE and their mahaveer families. Now the Tamil people need to question what the LTTE were doing in 30 years against what the Sri Lankan State with the Sri Lankan armed forces has created in just 4 years in the North? The development and -Ëœsunshine-â„¢ that the Tamil people enjoy freely now is phenomenal. There is not much TNA can do or really need to do but they cannot take the credit for the development. That credit goes to the Sri Lankan armed forces and the Sri Lankan state (in that order).

The TNA is taking the Sri Lankan populace to be both dumb and stupid if they think that simply by claiming that they are not asking for a -Ëœseparate state-â„¢ by use of word the claims for the right to self-determination does not equate to mean -Ëœindependence-â„¢ and an independent -ËœTamil nation or homeland-â„¢ that has been the driving force of all Tamil politicians representing the TNA since post-independence. We would also like to know how if -Ëœas a community we like to determine our way of life ourselves-â„¢ how more than half of the Tamils who live outside the -ËœTamil homeland-â„¢ will determine their way of life and how they have thus far preserved their -Ëœindividuality-â„¢ by choice living amongst the Sinhalese rather than the Tamils? Moreover, the chief ministerial candidate himself living in Colombo who says that at 74 he had a -Ëœdecent life-â„¢ in law-lecturing, practicing and serving as a Supreme Court judge-â„¢ nothing happened to his -Ëœindividuality-â„¢ living amongst the Sinhalese and not Tamils and to say -ËœI am quite satisfied with my life-â„¢ simply negates this new notion of -Ëœindividuality-â„¢ amongst ONLY Tamils that he is now canvassing for!
Highlighting this further is the issue of caste which most Tamils attempt to sweep under the carpet however when more than half the population of the North happen to comprise low-caste Tamils why would the elite Colombo living TNA allow just 2% representation for low-caste Tamils unless the caste factor remains very much alive amongst Tamils. How best will future Tamils especially low caste Tamils in a separate Tamil nation of ONLY Tamils expect to live? This is a good question for which the answer can be found just looking across the Palk Strait at India where in a State exclusively Tamil, where Tamil language is the official state language, where Tamil culture is the exclusive culture in a population of over 65million Tamils (compared to less than 2million Tamils in Sri Lanka and less than 800,000 Tamils in the entire North) how many Tamils are on equal status amongst each other? Why don-â„¢t the Sri Lankan Tamils just count and see how the low-castes of Tamil Nadu live and ask Tamil Nadu has provided for the -Ëœindividualism-â„¢ in a Tamil only set up for Tamils.
We would also like to know how -Ëœmulti-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-lingual-â„¢ this homeland is likely to be when every Sinhalese living in the north are asked to evict themselves and those that attempt to restart their lives in the north are claimed to be -Ëœsinhala colonization-â„¢ -” if Tamils can live in the South under -Ëœmulticulturalism-â„¢ Sinhalese should be able to live in the North under -Ëœmulticulturalism-â„¢ too.
We would also like to know how federalism would fit into a state of -Ëœself-determination-â„¢ when self-determination would dislocate an area from the existing unitary state of Sri Lanka?
When the chief ministerial candidate says -Ëœpolitics came after me-â„¢ there are various possibilities to who can be promoting his candidature and it is not necessarily the TNA as the TNA itself is a puppet with strings pulled by various forces. So when the wannabe politician says -ËœI have been discussing the possibilities of the armed forces being made available to the UN Peace Keeping Force-â„¢ he seems to be naƒ¯ve to the fact that Sri Lanka already sends troops as blue helmets. Moreover, in a unitary Sri Lanka one which C V Wigneswaran does not wish to change or so he says, it is upto the State Government to decide where to position its armed forces and not one of the 9 chief ministers of Sri Lanka. Therefore, becoming a chief minister gives wigneswaran no mandate to demand that the armed forces of Sri Lanka be evicted from the unitary state of Sri Lanka.
The call for a Tamil speaking North-East in a united Sri Lanka is nothing but words thrown to fool the masses. Tamil speaking includes Tamils and Muslims but excludes Sinhalese (though there are many Sinhalese who speak Tamil and many Tamils and Muslims who speak Sinhalese). The Tamil speaking is a bait and deal with Muslims to re-merge the North to East following the demerger in 2006 with the explicit understanding that the North will be for Tamils and East will be Muslim in a scenario that we can now confirm that the players pulling the strings of the locals are parties that have interests in securing -Ëœindependent-â„¢ north and a future -Ëœindependent-â„¢ east in a strategic move that would mean those fund raising these calls would eventually control both these -Ëœindependent-â„¢ -Ëœself-determined-â„¢ provinces for international geopolitical leverage inclusive trade. How would Sambanthan describe what happened to Kosovo or Sudan.
If TNA calls for Separate State -” Tamils living outside -ËœTamil Homeland-â„¢ would be asked to leave for the new Homeland.
Sambanthan stresses -Ëœunited-â„¢ -Ëœwithin the same country-â„¢ because he does not want the rest of the Tamils (i.e. more than all the Tamils living in the North) living outside of the -ËœTamil Homeland-â„¢ to wonder what would happen to them if the TNA does openly seek a separate state in so many words. TNA knows that the moment they ask for a separate state the rest of the country would ask all Tamils living outside of the Tamil Homeland to leave the present areas they are living in and to live in the North where Sambanthan, Abraham Sumanthiran and Wigneswaran promises -Ëœsunshine-â„¢. Yet, this is something that the Tamils need to think over for they should not allow the TNA to divide people any more than LTTE or politicians have done in the past as well as in the present. The people need to tell politicians to stop divisive slogans that are meant to ONLY bring them into power and to keep them in power -” these slogans have nothing meaningful to the wellbeing of the ordinary masses.
When C V Wigneswaran says PRabakaran is a freedom fighter and given that we are well aware that the party or rather alliance he represents came to be seated in parliament because of the LTTE this itself should make Tamils shudder whether they are looking at a future where S Premachandrans-â„¢ call for Tamils to take up arms will mean the loss of freedom for the Tamils once more where without the armed forces the Tamil parents may again have to give up their children to be turned into child soldiers, where men and women may end up giving up their livelihoods to return to the jungles to be trained in armed combat and take Sri Lanka towards another 3 decades of misery, loss of life, property and complete anarchy. Is this the mandate the Tamil people proposes to give the TNA even a former justice who know says that Prabakaran was a freedom fighter and not a terrorist while the Tamil LTTE Diaspora that wants to enter Sri Lanka on the TNA bandwagon are the very same entity that helped Prabakaran and the LTTE from overseas?

Sri Lankans to get new electronic national identity cards from November

Sept 16, Colombo: Sri Lanka’s Department of Registration of Persons will commence issuing new electronic National Identity Cards from November for all citizens.
The new IDs incorporating fingerprints required for the current and future needs of national security will be issued through the Department of Registration of Persons for persons over age 15.
The Director General of the Department of Registration of Persons M.S Sarath Kumara says the new Electronic National ID with fingerprints will be introduced in November.
The new ID, comprising security features against tampering, counterfeiting or forging, will include the person’s photo, bio data, fingerprints, and also the blood group. It will conform to the relevant international standards.
Compiling data for this ID which consist with a photograph and family details according to international civil aviation standards are now underway, the official has said.
The ID will be issued for three time periods. The ID issued to 15 to 20 year age group is valid for 10 years. It is valid for 15 years for the 25 to 30 year age group. The ID issued for over 45 years of age has no expiry date.
The Director General says the internationally accepted ID could use to prevent malpractices and frauds.

About two years ago, on 1st of January I wanted to go to church in Kochchikade area and found that the place was full of people who looked like non SL tamils and I wrote in this web site about it. I could not even find a place to park my car and had to return home. I called for action from defence. What did they do?. Instead of deporting them, they gave big contracts to TN bigwigs to build high rise buildings by using this labour for their occupation. That too was at the time our Buddhist monks were being bashed in TN. What an idiotic lot we are?. Would any other nation do such a thing?.
The problem will get worse if fellows from opposition come to power some day.

It is possible that workers are being brought into Sri Lanka through various projects funded by foreign countries. As for such workers brought in by India, we wonder whether they ever go back.
Sri Lanka has to have Laws governing such workers and they must go back. India will gladly offload any number of her citizens to any country that will accept them.
The illegal migrant problem if not taken seriously and acted on will affect Lanka adversely in the future. SAARC country entries (visa on arrival) is the other problem.
All these unresolved problems do not reflect well on the Ministry of Immigration & Emigration.

The seemingly clandestine agenda of the TNA is not clandestine at all, it is an OPEN SECRET, so much ‘OPEN ‘ that calling it a secret is pure hoodwink. Their agenda is clear as crystal.
The fault of permitting this blind man’s bluff to continue unchallenged by those who count, must fall squarely on the shoulders of MR and his siblings. Let us face the fact and call a spade a spade. Our ‘Raja’ is turning his ‘Passa’ on the real issue behind TNA politics.The real issue known to all and sundry but which Raja is keeping under his hat, is self rule in the North-East for the Tamils and by the Tamils.

LTTE lost the battle but won the war, already. What did the LTTE want? To turn the north into Tamil only. It has been achieved today thanks to their acts of terrorism (commission) and neglect of the ruling clan (ommission). As such LTTE/TNA political objectives have been achieved. The election will only document it for their financiers to see.
Sri Lankan government won the battle but lost the war. Political objectives of coexistence for which 26,500 soldiers died for have been lost as the north is Tamil only (as LTTE/TULF/TNA always wanted).
This is the real tragedy, not the election defeat which is only its manifestation.
Now Tamil leaders apply this same model to Colombo City. Sinhalese are already a minute minority in Colombo City. The ruling clan must take the blame for this. With two thirds in parliament, three executive presidency terms, the president, speaker, defence secretary and economic affairs minister all from the clan, they cannot shake off their responsibility to this national crime.
Sinhalese are also turning against the government. Now UPFA needs UNP poached candidates to win elections. In North Western Province the two main contestants are UNP stalwarts – Dayasiri and Johnston’s son Johan Fernando. EPDP, not SLFP fields most candidates in the Northern Province.
TNA antics in Northern Provincial Council after election to office will ruin government’s remaning goodwill among the Sinhalese. Needless to say Tamils have already rejected the ruling clan. The end of it is war crimes trials for the clan which is not that far. Diplomatic imunity applies only to rulers and active civil servants. Past presidents, opposition parliamentarians and past officials are not immune from war crimes investigations.

Tamils hold massive protest against Kandiah Neelakandan’s Indian intervention call

A massive protest rally was held at Reid Avenue, Kollupitiya against an alleged statement made by Attorney Kandiah Neelakandan calling for Indian intervention in Sri Lankan affairs.
The Tamils in the main who commenced their procession from Kollupitiya junction carrying placards against the statement continued the protest in front of Neelakandan’s office on Reid Avenue. They continued the protest shouting “Traitor should leave the country,” “Chairman cannot take decisions on Sri Lanka”. The Police that had strengthened security prevented the protesters from forcibly entering the office of Neelakandan. The protest initiated at about 11.30 am lasted for about an hour.
Sinister attempts being made by various quarters are condemned as they ignite racism in Sri Lanka, at a time when the the country is on the proper track to development, while strengthening the cordial relationship between communities after three decades of confrontation, said a spokesman for the Tamil protestors gathered at Kollupitiya yesterday. R Rathnasamy who was at the site said that this country belongs to all, Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims living peacefully in the country. The Chairman cannot take decisions on Sri Lanka. Neelakandan should beg for pardon for the statement he made or else we would not stop this protest. The President never discriminates against people based on race.(Kandiah Nelakandan is the Chairman of the India-Lanka Friendship Society). “One should not make such statements seeking petty political gain,” he said.
He added such statements trigger racism. Changumam Darma said that if there is any issue, it should be solved within the country. Peace is dawning and we deal cordially with the Sinhalese people. No body can deny it. Neelakandan is a leading attorney. So his statement seeking for Indian intervention in our country’s matters is serious.
M Rajakumar said that they don’t see any difference between temples, kovils or churches. People live peacefully. The Police and the Forces too are faithful to us. The President has granted us much relief.

It is quite evident what the TNA wants and intends to get. This TNA Game of Tamil Separatism (Tamil Caste Wars disguised as Tamil Separatism, exploited by foreign sources), has gone on for so long with loss of life, property, human values & dignity, that all peace loving Sri Lankans have to be very Aware & Wary or fall into TNA traps.
The TNA appears to have nothing to offer Lanka or her Tamils, other than lies, cheat, deceit, riots and war, all in the name of Tamil Separatism. The TNA has for decades consistently led the Tamils of Sri Lanka a well as the rest of the country, over the cliff, like so many lemmings that get destroyed by following foolish leaders.
It is stil not too late for the TNA to re-write an acceptable, law abiding Manifesto and run a legal and worthy election in the North. Or else, as the ‘Ashtaloka Dharma’ works on, such groups of people fall into their own negative traps.

IF Tamils want to leave SL to Canada, etc. NO ONE can stop them. They will do a riot or do other self harm and go. Best thing is to let them go and leave SL in peace. Like a woman wanting a divorce. If you don’t give her a divorce, she will do adultery, discredit you, poison you, etc.

Also, Sri Lanka MUST stop being seen as the salubrious landing place for Tamils of Tamil Nadu who are disgusted with the ongoing Caste System there. Do not welcome illegal migrants from anywhere. ALL illegal migrants must be deported. Buddhism (kind & compassionate) will not work with this problem. Only the Law of Land will work re illegal migrants. Illegal migrants are fodder for parties such as the TNA.
So the TNA is going to contest the Northern PC elections under the ILLEGAL MANIFESTO ????
All the distractions (such as the demonstrations in front of Neelakandan’s office, Mr Wigsneswaran’s utterances, etc) are just DISTRACTIONS going nowhere, to distract the stupid South from the real issue, i.e. the TNA PLUS THEIR ILLEGAL MANIFESTO IS GOING IN – UNCHALLENGED – TO CONTEST THE NORTHERN ELECTIONS.

Absolutely …. ANY & ALL, especially Eelamists, who don’t love Sri Lanka and WANT TO LEAVE should given EVERY ASSISTANCE POSSIBLE to do so. But, the DEPARTURE must be PERMANENT …. no citizenship, including dual citizenship, of Sri Lanka after they DEPART.
There is ONE EXCEPTION to this RULE: Those guilty of committing MURDER & MAYHEM in Sri Lanka must PAY for it with SEVERE PUNISHMENT …. either execution, or prison time at bone-breaking hard labor. No ESCAPE, NOR a jolly vacation in prison at the tax payer’s expense, for them.

Very good. BUT he KNOWS the Endian invasion of SL economy, TNA terrorist work, etc. Still he does NOTHING about them.
