TNA demanded devolution and rights of Tamil people – now they want to restore tombs of dead terrorists.

‚ TNA was making the whole world hear that the Sri Lanka government has denied the Tamil people their rights. But now that they have come to power with a large majority in the Provincial Council election, they seem not to know‚ what rights to ‚ give to the Tamil people, about which they were concerned‚ before.
‚ The President of Sri Lanka and his Government during the four years after the elimination of terrorism under whose‚ iron‚ boots the poor Tamil people in the north had been suffering, went all out to provide them the facilities‚ they were denied‚ because of terrorism, such as ‚ roads, bridges, hospitals, schools, houses, pipe water and electricity.‚
‚ The Government was interested in developing ‚ ‚ cultural activities in the North and bring together the people of the North and South through ‚ social and cultural ‚ exchanges.
‚ What was wrong in that ?‚
‚ But the TNA did not‚ want that. TNA wanted ‚ the North Independent of the South.
‚ The TNA since its winning the PC elections has made a poor show of unity amoung themselves-the ‚ elected members of the Council, and ‚ come out with most absurd proposals which have nothing do with providing the people of the North their so called rights which they complained had been denied to them.‚
‚ The North PC Councillors who lacked dignity, did not even‚ know how to‚ ‚ conduct themselves as ‚ respectable and responsible Provincial Councillors. They did not know ‚ the basic requirement‚ of taking Oaths as Councillors in a proper way.‚ They were lost‚ not knowing ‚ ‚ how, where or in the presence of whom to take their‚ oaths as Councillors.
These ignorant fools of TNA Councillors not knowing ‚ how to behave decently in keeping with their new Office, had thought what is more important‚ for the welfare of the people of the North is the‚ renewing and rebuilding the old ‚ cemeteries of ‚ the dead LTTE terrorist, putting aside‚ examining ‚ the needs of the people and‚ provide them with the ‚ services they are expecting from them.
‚ -The Chavakachcheri Pradeshiya Sabha on Monday (14) passed a resolution calling for the reconstruction of LTTE cemeteries in the area, coming under the purview of the newly elected Northern Provincial Council. The Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) run PS also decided to commemorate those who died fighting for the LTTE.-
These PC Councillors with their assumed importance, are‚ ‚ ‚ instead of instilling into themselves the responsible conduct of Provincial Councillors, act as a set of lunatics let out of a mental hospital.‚
‚ They are like lost‚ cattle, one of them went to a Doctor who looked after the mother of Prabhakaran ‚ the terrorist leader when she was ill , to take his oath before him, and others went to JPs and temple priests.‚ In their foolishness with‚ assumed grandeur and pomposity, they had thought it appropriate to go an ask the new IDPs settling down on lands provided to them, for their deeds of title to land, whether they are Sinhala and to issue orders to them, that they have no place in the north and therefore they should go back to where they come from.
-A few days ago, TNA MP Siddharathan has come to the Temple and has threatened the Sinhala IDPs at the settlement and has asked them to leave Jaffna. Hiru reported it very clearly and how the IDPs were arguing with the MP. Sakunthala is the current leader of the IDP and she told -¦-¦.. that several months ago TNA MP, Suresh Premachandra also had threatened them similarly.‚ The monk also told me attacks on Sinhalese have already started and Government including JHU are silent about it. This time they have lodged a complaint against the MP.-
It is now clear that the North Provincial Council elections should never have been held, until a final decision was taken on the 13Amendment.‚ No Western country would assist us , they will always try to‚ stop progress and development‚ of developing countries. Therefore the Government should not do any thing to please and satisfy the International Community. Because they will never be satisfied with whatever we do, but critical of all that we do.
‚ We should now have ‚ Army bases in the North and build houses for the Soldiers to live with their families, as it is happening in Cyprus where the English Army has a large area separated for their Soldiers with schools, Hospitals, and recreation facilities.‚
‚ -The British Forces Cyprus is stationed in‚ Dhekelia and Akrotiri in Cyprus. It is a tri-service command with all three services based on the Island.‚ There are approximately 3,500 personnel serving Cyprus.-
‚ That will stop the Northern Provincial Council jokers from accusing Sri Lanka Soldiers for rape‚ of women, interfering into homes where lone Tamil women bring up their families, as the Soldiers will be with their families, and unmarried soldiers in special quarters within the Army base.‚ They should be provided with‚ all facilities such as schools , canteens, clubs, and halls for amusement.
‚ The Tamils of the North, specially the Tamil political leadership should stop living in the past and move forward, not with a separatist Agenda, but with an intention of uniting Communities.‚ The future of the Tamils as well as the rest of the Communities in Sri Lanka depend in that unity making Sri Lanka the home of every one of us.
‚ Neither the Western countries fighting for human rights in Sri Lanka nor the Tamil Diaspora who never had a first hand‚ experience living under the terrorism‚ would come with an honest selfless‚ interest for ‚ the well being of the Tamil people or to defend them.‚
‚ There interests are self motivated.‚ It is time that we even forget about the LLRC which was a mistake in that the recommendations of the Commission were uncalled for , and created more problems than those we had.‚
‚ Reconciliation of Communities should come from within‚ each Community-â„¢s understanding that we are after all the children of Mother Lanka legitimate or adopted, and that our future development, peace and progress depend in acting as‚ one Nation.
‚ The Tamils have different problems that make it difficult for them to live together as one forgetting their caste, religious and educational ‚ differences. It is therefore better that the Tamils in the North give up the idea of a separate Tamil State, and flock together with the rest of the Communities to form one Nation to go forward‚ into progress, development and peace or regress into poverty and destruction.
‚ In this respect a dear friend of mine a Tamil from Germany wrote:‚
‚ -Dear Charles, There are Hindu Strong cast system in Tamilnadu and among TNA. ‚ Catholics are also maintaining the same system. Because ‚ many Catholics Bishops and priests support LTTE and Tamil Eelam. They want to control the Tamil Community not for the welfare and prosperity of ‚ the Tamils, but for their own comfort and gain. ‚
‚ In south of Sri Lanka Tamils have‚ equal rights than those in Jaffna. TNA & co have no chance in the south to show their cast monopoly.‚
‚ The problem creators like TNA <TE ‚ have possibilities to escape into TamilNadu, ‚ and Western countries or live in Colombo. Poor Tamils who believe these idiots have no such escape, other than to suffer by themselves. ‚ Pirabakaren, LTTE and other youths who spoilt ‚ their lives are not responsible for the present situation.

Having lied to the world about a non-existent discrimination, with the help of servile NGOs and Politicians in the western nations, the TNA after winning the Northern Provincial Council elections, has hit a blank wall as they now have to identify and implement the so called rights they did not have. In fact they will discover the so called “low-caste” Tamils are in fact enjoying more rights than what the Tamil would have ever given them. To overcome this predicament, the TNA is bound to invent other issues. They will talk of evicting the security forces, knowing very well the Govt would not, and if the Govt did, then the TNA politicians for their own safety would have to move to the South to escape LTTE terrorists still absconding in the North.
TNA would also try to evict first the Sinhalese with the support of misguided Muslims and then the Muslims themselves at a later stage, like what Prabakaran the megalomaniac did during his time. TNA would also demand the merger of North and East, but I believe if there should be a merger, the best merger would be to merge North Central Province with the northern part of Eastern Province and Uva Province with the southern part of Eastern Province. This would ensure these two newly demarcated provinces too will have a Sinhalese majority somewhat equal in proportion to the rest of the country, rather than a North East merger which would create a Tamil majority mega province with a large coast line just for a small population density.
I also think Mr Siddarthan would have been the natural successor to Prabakaran, as he too has started on the racist genocidal note of asking non-Tamils to leave the North and his next act predictably could be to ask the Tamils in places like Wellawatta to transfer to the North and if they did not then, create communal disharmony just like Prabakaran did, to create communal clashes, but I don’t think it would happen, unfortunately for Siddarthan and company.

Sridharan, just a new provincial councillor, by doing something even Mervyn Silva an MP with all his eccentricities is not known to have done, may have unwittingly let the cat out of the bag by trespassing on private property of Sinhalese residents to threaten and demand title deeds. If the residents complain, then, this would be a police matter and just imagine what would have taken place had police powers been devolved to provinces? This is a very strong message to the Government, how ungovernable the country would be, if police and land powers are devolved to the nine provinces, in a small country like Sri Lanka, with so many hostile forces trying to create conflicts for their own survival?

* Less dependency on Tamil Labor the better as Tamil Leaders are leading the Tamils to Separatism again plus, ‘Conflicts for their own Advancement’. 1983 Riots were such an event (Tamil vs Tamil) in order to have an Exodus to the west.
Take the tea plantations : we ought to be mechanizing the tasks in tea plantations same as in China, India, South Africa.
* Sri Lanka should/must keep away from any type of Cold Wars too. Tamil migrants are in some 30 countries abroad, plus they have Tamil Nadu. Sinhela folk have only Sri Lanka to call “Homeland”. Guard this Homeland with extra zeal as there appears to be too many hostile forces, as Soori says. India trained the ltte during the Cold War. Tamil Diaspora brings with them Cold Wars into Lanka, as done with Norway during the Ceasefire.
* Lanka ought to deport all illegal migrants, not give them IDs & voting rights. USA has earmarked some 7 Million Mexicans for deportation. UK is right now cracking down hard on people overstaying their visas and deporting them, and first comer visitors to UK have to pay a hefty fee at the airport. Sri Lanka has VISA ON ARRIVAL facility at airports and sea ports for SAARC citizens. Can we afford this generosity ? NO. India does not allow Visa on Arrival facility for Lankans. I read today that Rs.1300 Billion is set aside for the development of the North. But there are still villages in the south without electricity and pipe water, roads and bridges. It is the people in the villages in the South that sacrificed their children to liberate the north from the terrorists. Therefore the Government should stop dumping Billions for the development of the North, and the dividends of peace should be shared with the people of the south.
There are villages where the PCs dump waste on open land causing considerable discomfort and ill health to people. The government should spend money to find another means of disposal of waste.
The Sinhala IDPs in Jaffna are neglected by the Government. The governmnt should build houses to them and provide them with water and electricity. The Rs.1300 Billion set aside for the development of the north should be utilised to help Sinhala villagers in the South, and settle down the Sinhala and the Muslim families in Jaffna
Development of the North should be temporarily stopped allowing the new Northern PC to come out with new proposals of development. The Government cannot allocate money to Northern PC to renew and reconstruct Tombs for the dead terrorists, to celebrate the Mahaweera Day, and chase the Sinhala and Muslim families from the north.

There may be few monks misbehaving. What you have to understand is our politicians never speak
against these traitor tamils or mossies for the fear of losing their support. Without the BBS mossies
would’ve made Sri Lanka a mossie country already. Nobody talk about them. Only BBS protested while all
the politicos kept their mouth shut. It is wrong to blame the monks in general for a handful of them misbehaving.
Does any body talk about the UnPatriotic Party (UNP) who divide the Sinhalese and let these traitors do whatever
they want. This is the trouble we have. We don’t recognise the enemy within. Without MR, our country would’ve been
divided already. Why can’t some of these UnPatriotics join the government and get rid of through and through traitors like

We advise Man Mohan Singh to stay at home, and Sri Lanka to DOWNGRADE relations with India by CLOSING all except the Colombo Indian Embassy, canceling the Sampur Power Plant agreement, taking back the Palaly airport and Trincomalee Oil Storage tanks, rejecting Indian Reconstruction aid for the Northern Province and their heavy INTERFERENCE and PRESENCE in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka, reducing Economic links with India, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, REVOKING the Indian imposed 13th Amendment to Sri Lanka’s Constitution and DISSOLVING ALL Provincial Councils.
In SHORT, use this opportunity to get India completely out of Sri Lanka.
Then, we can say that Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has EXECUTED a MASTER STROKE! Not Otherwise!

NEW DELHI: Sri Lanka has warned that a boycott of next month’s Commonwealth heads of state Summit in Colombo by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will have “consequences” for bilateral relations between the two countries, queering the pitch for the government ahead of a decision on the level of its participation. Singh is under intense pressure from Tamil Nadu politicians, including those in his own Congress party, to not attend the November 15-17 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) as a mark of protest against the treatment of Sri Lanka’s Tamil minority. The government intends to decide on Singh’s travel to Colombo after he returns from China on October 24, sources told ET.
But India’s vacillations have frustrated the Mahinda Rajapakse government in Sri Lanka, which diplomatic sources in Delhi, said was pushing hard to have Singh attend the summit that is being held in Asia after 24 years. “Presence of Indian PM means a lot for the Rajapaksa government and Sri Lanka in general. They are obviously disappointed,” one source said. Colombo has threatened that Singh’s absence from the meet will adversely impact bilateral ties, although the sources said it was not clear what the consequences would be.
While India’s Tamil parties are keen that Singh boycott the summit, a top Tamil leader in Sri Lanka – CV Vigneshwaran, head of pro-India Tamil National Alliance that runs the island nation’s Northern Province – is keen that the prime minister not only visits Colombo but also Jaffna, the seat of Tamil power and politics. In the event of Singh boycotting, India will be represented by Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid, which could be viewed by Colombo as New Delhi downgrading the importance of the summit.
A foreign ministry official rued that state politics was affecting the course of foreign policy and harming national interests by pushing Sri Lanka into the arms of others. Sri Lanka has in recent years moved closer to China as well as Pakistan. China had supplied Colombo with arms to fight the LTTE, and after the war, also helped several infrastructure projects.
The West too has been eyeing Sri Lanka’s strategic location for decades. Pakistan has supplied Sri Lanka with metal detectors and body scanners for the CHOGM Summit, reportedly after India dilly-dallied on the issue.

Oct 22, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government today expressed concern over a possible nuclear threat from the controversial Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant in Tamil Nadu in Southern India as it went into operation for the first time.
The Sri Lankan government on Tuesday said it could not rule out the possibility of a threat to the island from the nuclear power plant which was connected to the grid on Tuesday after India’s Supreme Court ruled that it was safe and secure to operate.
Research and Technology Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka has said that due to the close proximity of the nuclear plant to Sri Lanka’s Northern and North Western coastal areas, Sri Lanka cannot rule out a threat in the event of a disaster similar to the Fukushima incident in Japan.
The Kudankulam plant in the state of Tamil Nadu, just 250 km from Sri Lanka’s northwest coastal town of Mannar, will produce 4.5 GW of power making it one of the world’s largest nuclear plants.
According to the Minister, Sri Lanka had sought an agreement with India to share information on the power plant but so far India has not responded to that request.
Sri Lanka and India had held several rounds of discussions last year over Sri Lanka’s concerns and India has assured that the power plant is a state-of-the-art plant that is compliant with the highest safety standards available in the nuclear industry and the safety measures instituted at the plant are of the highest order.
Earlier this year, Indian High Commission in Colombo dismissed reports of radiation leaks and critical equipment failure at the power plant as totally baseless.
However, Minister Ranawaka has told Xinhua that local authorities will continue to carry out tests to look for any radiation that may come from the Indian power plant.

I have a very simple answer to this racist Tamils: GoSL must forthwith re-settle the Sinhala and Muslim IDP’s in the North. The total number of those IDPs amount to 234,000. GoSL must bring the total re-settled on 1:1 basis. Then the racist Tamil domination in the North is watered down. The same policy must be adopted in the East. Thereafter revoke 13A and let the racist TNA go to hell or else to Nadoo state of India.

Oct 22, Colombo: The Central Indian government should listen to the sentiments of Tamil Nadu political leaders over India’s participation in the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Sri Lanka next month, the leader of Sri Lanka’s major Tamil party has said.
Many Tamil Nadu political parties and even Tamil leaders in the Congress have urged the Indian Prime Minister to boycott the Commonwealth meeting in Colombo.
Speaking to the reporters in Chennai, following a meeting with India’s Bharatiya Janatha Party leaders, leader of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) R. Sampanthan has said that he doesn’t think the participation of Indian leaders in the summit would help the Tamil cause despite his party’s divided opinion on the issue.
The newly elected Chief Minister of Northern Provincial Council, C. V. Vigneswaran in an exclusive interview to Times of India has said that the Indian leaders should attend the CHOGM to express their concerns over the Tamil cause and other issue.
“We must have the courage of conviction to tell the Sri Lankan government that it has done this and this and what does it got to say… It is better you say it at the CHOGM rather than keep away,” Times of India quoted the Chief Minister.
However Sampanthan has disagreed with Vigneswaran’s view saying that they might be thinking that the participation of the leaders from India would help the cause of the Tamils but he doesn’t consider that it is the wide opinion.
Sampanthan was in Chennai to hold discussions with the BJP leaders to seek their support on the implementation of 13th Amendment to the Constitution to for power devolution.
“India’s intervention is very much needed for a permanent solution to the Sri Lankan Tamil issue. India should help for resettlement of Tamils,” he has said.
The TNA leader, alleging that the India-sponsored rehabilitation projects had not been properly implemented in Sri Lanka, has requested the leaders of various Tamil parties in the state to work together to help the Sri Lankan Tamils.
He has said that Vigneswaran and other TNA leaders would meet the leaders of various parties, especially those in Tamil Nadu, to get their support.

Thank you Mr. Charles Perera>…….From the responses to your article,it is quite apparent that our patriotic Sinhalese Brothers & sisters, NOT to mention some Mulims & some Tamils who still agree with us, are concerned about our Govt. leadership.
IT IS TIME to act decisiveley. NO TIME to waste, because it is TIME we do not have. We have RE-BUILD NOT NORTH & EAST it is time to rebuild other provinces / areas. Many years ago I suggested, that EASTERN Province to be broken up to & joined as part of Southern Province & the rrest to Central Province. THUS WE can deprive of Tamils & Muslims claiming, they are a majority in those TWO provinces. SO FAR NO TAKERS.
I am in agreement with Ananda – USA, that we get rid of ANY INDIANESS in Lanka espeially in Colombo. KEEP COLOMBO FREE of Indians, Tamils & Muslims. They are trouble makers. Also DRUG trade is all part & parcel of tamils & their earning power. WE NEED NOT provide PROOF because, RAPE< MURDER, CREDIT CARD FRAUD, HUMAN SMUGGLING & distorting the TRUTH, are all part & parcel of Tamil PLAN to destablize Sri Lanka.
Our country is small compard to a smallest STATE of INDIA. If so why should we have so many Indian counselates, HIGH Commioson offices in North & even in Hambantota( which is a Sinhale bastion). GET RID OF INDIAN listening posts, we should NOT allow this.
When criminals are caught either iin Europe or USA or any other country, OUR LANKAN name should NOT be used ..GIVE the name of the person & it inavriable be a TAMIL( expose them). Who gave permission to HIDE their indentity. Do OT ALLOW them to preach, about sensitivity of the RACE, if so why engage in CRIMES to bring disrepute to MOTHER LANKA.

Jayasiri, Thank you for agreeing with me on the need to REDUCE Indian PRESENCE and Indian INTERFERENCE in Sri Lanka’s Internal Matters.
However, your next statement ” KEEP COLOMBO FREE of ….. Tamils & Muslims” if that refers to Sri Lankan Tamils and Sri Lankan Muslims, if implemented, is fraught with danger for Sri Lanka. Let me explain.
Native-born Sri Lankan Tamils and Sri Lankan Muslims are Sri Lankan citizens who have an inalienable right to live anywhere in Sri Lanka, just as Sinhala people do. The right of Sinhala people to live in the Northern Province and Jaffna is currently denied by Tamils … and that is a situation that must be changed IMMEDIATELY, and is partly what we are fighting for: EQUAL TREATMENT for the majority Sinhalese to live anywhere in Sri Lanka, just as minority communities do currently
Only people who commit CRIMES against Sri Lanka can be DENIED that and other rights, by PROSECUTING, CONVICTING and PUNISHING them appropriately for those CRIMES, as provided by Sri Lankan Law, up to and including fining them, imprisoning them, and /or executing them. However, under no circumstances can they be expelled from Sri Lanka for any reason if they are native born citizens. We can execute them for due cause as punishment, but we cannot deport them … if they are native born citizens. Naturalized citizens, illegal immigrants, and non-citizens do not enjoy that protection from deportation.
The right to live where one was born is not only a right protected under Sri Lankan Law, it is also an Internationally recognized Fundamental Human Right protected by the United Nations.
Indians … as foreign busybodies interfering in Sri Lanka where they have no business to be …. can be expelled in the interest of protecting Sri Lanka’s Sovereignty without violating any law. India enjoys the same right to expel non-native born residents with respect to its own territory, to protect itself.
