Chief Minister Vigneswaran pushes the Sri Lankan flag to the back-seat

With regard to administration in the North, Chief Minister Vigneswaran seems to be taking directions from the LTTE rump. First, he demanded the removal of Governor Chandarasiri. Then he wanted the army withdrawn from the North. Now he does not want the national flag and the national anthem in the North. There was a time when the North was under the gum-boots of Prabhakaran and he forbade hoisting of the national flag. It was replaced by the LTTE flag. It appears that Vigneswaran as well, is on the same wave length. It is a punishable offence to demean the national flag by not hoisting it at important ceremonial functions. If so, is the Chief Minister immune from punishment for over-looking the national flag.
Sri Wickrema Rajasinghe, the last king of Sri Lanka, a Tamil, used the Lion flag on important occasions. In 1815, we had national heroes in the calibre of Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Thero who pulled down the Union Jack from the Kandy Ceremonial Hall and hoisted the Lion flag instead. In 1948, when Sri Lanka was granted independence, it was the same Lion flag that was hoisted. In 1948, when a committee was appointed to look into a national flag they recommended the existing Lion flag and the Tamil community was represented by Senator Nadesan. Once upon a time, Vigneswaran dished out judgements sitting under the same flag. Now, obviously guided by the TNA and the LTTE rump, it has become an anathema for him.
It appears that Vigneswaran as well is pursuing the policy of carving out a separate state.

Thank you Mr. P.A.Samaraweera-Melbourne. It is true there are laws in Sri Lanka to punish offenders who DISRESPACT or not hoisting the national Flag in important occasions. What is the point, if these laws are NOT acted upon by the GOSL of the day?
Mr. Wignswaran has shown his true colors by siding with LTTE & TNA ( both are Tamil organizations) as one poined out it should be NOT LTTE but TAMILS in general, are the ones who disrespect Lanka in & abroad. If they really love their motherland, they should NOT run to India or Western govts, to ask them to punish Sri Lanka.
The fault lies wirth the Tamil groups in Lanka for de-stabalizing lanka & PRAISE INDIAN LEADERS at the expense of Lankan leadership. Re: Indian fisherman poaching, NOT a single TNA member have spoken of SOLUTIONS to that problem, which is an impportant issue for their own FISHERMEN from Jaffna & North.
Lets hope at least this time our President will direct others to take immediate action to disrespecting the FLAG, and National Anthem NOT sung in Sinhalese in North & East………..Thank you all……….J

If we still HOPE our politicians can save SL, we are damn fools.
BTW MR hosted a Xmas dinner for TNA racists and other politicians. They all screww the people and the nation while a few patriots have their blood boiling seeing the shitt happening in this country.

Don’t be jealous for having dinner or lunch with the Tamil racists by our President. He knows what he is doing dont think he is a fool. He is playing the political game well and no one can beat him or doubt about him. Rajapksas will take our country forward with a strong love for the country not like those gay hookers in the opposition parties. People like Magalaya,Ranil & Wickremebahu who has very little support from the voters do not have any future or plans for the country except giving their ass to the whites and LTTE daspora who wishes every single second to destroy our Motherland.
