Afghanistan’s Changing Scenario

Washington is in real fix as the bloody war on terror on Afghanistan and pockets of Pakistan has only earned insult and humiliating defeat to US and allies at the hands of handful of Mujahideen. It also attracted a lot of criticism back home. The people of United States want to inquire from their generals and intelligence heads where the piles of chemical weapons and weapons of mass destruction in Afghanistan are, which still remained undiscovered?  Over 12 years of illegal intrusion in Afghanistan, which resulted in killing of over 1.5 million men, women and children in Afghanistan and pockets of Pakistan, still uncertainty prevails over strength of Al Qaida.

On the basis of Islamic traditions, Taliban refused to hand over Osama bin Laden, their guest in asylum, to the enemies. Afghanistan’s Ameer ul Momineen Mullah Muhammad Umar had announced that even if the last person in Afghanistan is killed and whole country is turned upside down, they will never handover their guest to enemies. Even today the where about of Osama bin Laden are not know and on the basis of French input in 2006 that Osama died due to prolong illness, US staged a drama in Abbottabad (Pakistan)  about hunting of Osama Bin Laden. Had this been the case, where is his dead body or video of operation.

The world knows well that statement of one controversial lady who claims to be Osama’s wife and has eyes on his assets is not sufficient evidence.  In 2011, US and allies pulled out bulk of their forces from Afghanistan, leaving behind security personnel and engineers in fortified bases, involved in multi-billion project. However, they bluffed the world about their presence to justify hard earned taxes of American and allies.

Today when for face-saving US and NATO forces have announced complete withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014, they fear that the Taliban who have already formed the government at provincial and local level will emerge as single party to control the affairs of Afghanistan. There is no doubt in the fact that if fair and transparent elections are held in Afghanistan, Taliban would bag 92% of seats. In the same regard, understanding with parties other Hizb-e-Wahadat has already been reached.

The latest interim agreement “Joint Plan of Action” signed between Iran and P5+1 is aimed to put Tehran on the negotiations table in Afghan peace process. Iranian backed Hizb-e-Wahadat has announced that they are ready to accept Taliban leader, Mullah Muhammad Umar, as Commander in Chief of Afghan forces but not as Ameer ul Momineen. Washington is well aware about the dirty game it has played in Afghanistan by inducting thousands of minority elements and moderates in mainstream military, security forces, government services, education and health sectors; ironically these so called faithful are even sure about their religions, culture and traditions. The unnatural and unrealistic composition cannot sustain without foreign intervention as it would invite bloodbath.

In a recent development, Washington has threatened Kabul that in case US and allies are not permitted to stay in Afghanistan beyond 2014, Afghanistan will lose out billions of dollars of military and other international aid. US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel is blackmailing “US’ own puppet,” Afghan President Hamid Karzai to sign Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA) deal that will allow US troops to stay in Afghanistan after 2014.

Interestingly, Afghan Defence Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi has given assurance to Washington that BSA would be signed while Afghan government’s official spokesman has clarified that deal cannot be signed because “We don’t want our people to get killed by US troops again and again” . The NATO is also in haste and concluding agreements with neighbouring India, Pakistan and Iran to stall the rule of majority on democratic lines to return in Afghanistan.

A foreign diplomat in Afghanistan, disclosed on the condition of anonymity, that US and NATO are not interested to let anyone following orthodox Islam to come into power and would ensure West inclined moderates. He added that Tehran is being aided to upset the balance in favour of pro Irano-US broad based government and in the same regard US has agreed to sell missile defence and other weapons systems to Iran, Bahrain and Qatar, with an aim to open new theatre of war.

One wonders why the human right organizations including Amnesty International and United Nations are silent on recent development. Does that Charter of United Nations support genocide of 1.5 million orthodox Muslims in Afghanistan and parts of Pakistan? If not why action is not being taken and US and allies are not tried for war crimes and abuse of human rights in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

  1. AnuD Says:

What ever it is, Afghanistan was a Buddhist country long ago. Where ever muslims go, they change even the anthropology of their newly invaded or infested country.

So, they changed Afghanistan by destroying TWO BAMIYAN BUDDHA Statues.

AS WE BUDDHISTS BELIEVE, NOW THEY- AFGHANS – GO THROUGH THE EFFECTS OF THAT.

I don’t like humans suffering. But, when they ask for it, what I can do ?
