Understanding Mr Sirisena Using Tales from Greek Mythology

In 44 BC The Roman General and Director Julius Caesar was murdered in broad daylight in the theatre of Pompey by assassins led by Junius Brutus, Caesar’s best friend. Hence the famous words, Et tu Brute, Even you Brute said Caesar before he died. Only part of this tale is applicable because Mahinda Rajapaksa’a shoulders were capable of bearing the great weight of responsibility protecting Sri Lanka with the stone hands of giant Atlas.
The current President like the Colossus of Rhodes, which is a potent symbol of superhuman grandeur, is able to execute the supreme task of saving Sri Lanka from the barbarians who live lives of moral squalor from the lucre given by the West. When we hear that Malik Samarawickrema rang the President, we are tempted to tell him please beware, reminding him of the Latin phrase, Beware Greeks bearing gifts, Timeo Dananos et dona ferentes. And also beware the ides of March, until the 8 th of June for people like Mangala Samaraweera known for his bacchanalian parties can spring you with surprises as he did with nubile nymphs in the Kataragama River, to Premadasa just before Chandrika’a victory. We have to tell the voters of Sri Lanka to exercise their voting rights with pride and intelligence and not fall for the ‘bread and circuses’ of Sirisena, a phrase coined by the Roman satirist Juvenal who issued a damning indictment on the Roman citizens of his era to express the possibility of unsuspecting ordinary voters falling for ‘bread and circuses.’
Brings me to the defection of Rauff Hakeem & co. They have crossed the Rubicon and burnt their boats like Champika and Rathana Thero. In Homer’s Iliad the fiercest battles were fought at sea where Trojans who have the upper hand set the boats a blaze. The prize of the loss meant certain death. One and all will say on the 9 th of January, Aiyo to Hakeem Rathana, Champika and Sirisena. They have all said after crossing the Rubicon, just like Caesar, alea iacta est– the die is cast. Some of these defectors were threatening to burn the boats as a motivational tool like Agathocles of Syracuse who burnt his boat to the Goddess of Sicily as an offering but with no means of getting back the soldiers put him to death.
Champika behaves like a modern day Cassandra, a pessimist who boasts of correctly predicting the doomsday which none believes for he has got his convoluted Marxian economics handed to him by the JVP. Mr Ranawaka, who has a Ciceronian eloquence, (Cicero 106-43BC) and Rathana Thero are advocating a Catonian frugality for Sri Lankans like the Porcius Cato (234-149.BC) who advocated old fashioned propriety while living a life of ostentatious plenty. How Sri Lanka can be saved from the predators who are in the opposition sounds like a Chimera, which in Greek mythology is an invention of the imagination, which contradicts the judgements of truth and reality. Has Champika not come to his senses yet?
The current situation, of the Cuckoo land of Ranil and Sirisena (Greek Nephelokokkugia) happened because Chandrika behaved like Queen Livia, (who was the power behind the throne of emperor Augustus) and if only she had a bit of love for the country (a bit of intelligence also would certainly help though she claims to be a polymath), even as small as Cleopatra’s nose, for the history of our nation could have been different. Well come the 8 th of January, like in Greek mythology the Augean Stables belonging to the King of Elis, the ‘cattle sheds of jumping creatures’ will be cleaned by the current President, who is like a Triton among minnows, just like Heracles cleaned the monstrous heap of slurry in the space of one afternoon and save the country as Horatius at the Bridge.

HENCE ALL THIS DRAMA AND WISHFUL THINKING, OF THE POLITICAL GANGSTERS, MAARU SIRA, BATALANDA MAN, BANDIT QUEEN, SAM PAN DUNG, AND RAUF HACK HIM WILL END A CROPPER, ON THE 9TH January 2015.
ON THAT DAY, THEY WILL BE AKIN TO A DISTURBED ANTS NEST, RUNNING HELTER SKELTER, UNABLE TO FIND EACH OTHER.

Some of the highly qualified professionals of SL origin, whom I know, are supporting MY3 Gang and they hate MR for the so called alleged corruptions. They were so supportive during the war and now turned totally against MR and GR. They even use abusive words when I tried to defend MR.
Recently one Australian lawyer while talking about holidaying, I told that after mid-January 2015 will be quiet after election… then he told me that they are hoping the dictator will be captured and peace will come after election. On trying to explain the real truth, he got angry and also started using abusive words similar to our SL friends and walked away saying he will never talk to me again.
The point I am making here is, it is the same propaganda machine which worked so successfully on foreigners against GOSL all over the globe for the last 20 or so years, is now working on our own people to go against MR and GR.
This is a very bad situation. This is the front that GOSL lost its battle.
People like Champika, My3 etc did not deliver… only talked. Still talking… now mudslinging…
In a recent TV interview ‘Rathu Ira’ , Namal Rajapaksa was telling that they were busy working and not talking. I think that is true. Otherwise they cannot achieve so much in just 5 years.
That is where the anti-SL front took the advantage and became strong.
Web sites such as Sri Lanka Guardian, lanka-e-news are leading in the MY3 propaganda machine with other LTTE rumps very successfully. They did not take any rest after the war…. Still continuing fully aggressive… The driving factor must be LTTE funds!!
When MR wins this time, they should strongly look at this area. We have so many experienced patriots they can get the service of.. for example, most of the writers here in LankaWeb…

Most of the lawyers in Australia of Sinhala origin depends on Indians and Tamils for guidance and work so they are on the Indian bandwagon. The same applies to most of the expatriate Sinhala professionals

Hiranthe let our enemies abuse the President and blame for corruption in the Govt. Corruption is all over the world not only in Sri Lanka Politics.Thirty years of war is not a small thing to talk.Thirty years means a young life. Those wicked pigs allowed thirty years to ruin our beloved country and now come and beg for their vote with the aid of foreign enemies. These bastards must be put in jail for having connection to the most ruthless terrorist organization in the world. They openly criticize the Govt and the President sitting with three ugly ducklings Maru Sira/Bandi Queen/Ranil. They signed treaties the same way Ranil signed and gave to Prabakaran’s hand in the past.
The Bandit queen is responsible for many deaths of our war heroes while she was in power.Ranil is another murderer for killing thousands of young boys and girls in eighties when they were in power. They have blood in their hands. Tell your friends in Australia to go to hell with Maru Sira because our President will win with a clear majority this time than last time. Tell them to follow the Prime Minister of Australia.He knows the truth not those highly qualified friends of yours and lawyer friend. Corruption is a different subject and accepting to divide the country another subject. So your friends like the division of their homeland and giving section by section for different groups. Sirisena is just a coolie of Chandrika, Chandrika is the puppet of Emperor of India like her father SWRD. All money coming from India pumped through Western countries. India wants to dominate the Indian ocean and the African continent. It wants a subservient Sri Lanka. It already got Mauritius. Who is coming as the Chief Election monitor from the Commonwealth, former president of Guyana Bharat Jagdio an Indian colonial parasite from Guyana. Who came as an election monitor in 2005? one Mr Cooke an Indian vermin from Australia most probably an agent of the Third Eye. Guyana got millions of dollars Indian money given by Norway during Bharat’s government. The money only helped Indians in Guyana like our CeyNor fishing aid given by Norway helped Tamils and Indian terrorist arm.

Donald, fantastic article, although I do not understand because of my lack of English knowledge, I guess what you are trying to say is that My3 et al are living in a dream based on lies. Quite true.. Most of the Sinhala Budists professionals in Australia do believe R brothers are robing the Nation, which is not true. What MR must do to counter this is to run a credible campaign to inform the Nation where the capital expenditure has gone, not just one or two programs like RATUIRA OR 360 but a well organised campaign with solid evidence of cost and expenditure spent on major projects.

Sinhalese have very short memories. So these robbery queen CBK, GB Ranil and maru sira are exploiting
this weakness. So bandit queen is the one going to clean up the mess? Sinhalese can’t remember now
how they were scared to go out of the house during GB Ranil and bandit queen era in case they succumbed

Biggest losers in this election going to be the multiplying fast mossie rats. For the first time Tamils are
going to join the Government and make the mossies insignificant! They have now realised by fighting
the Government so far didn’t achieve anything and mossies used their votes to the maximum advantage to beat
them to the third place. Once Tamils join the Government, mossies are going to be redundant! No more king makers.
