Covid-19 has jolted 21st<\/sup> century citizens who thought they were above all and could do anything and all with technology and money. COVID-19 has forced humans to better appreciate nature and the limits humans can push nature via consumption. One disease has provided wisdom to many in such a short time. It is inspiring transformation of the 21st<\/sup> century thinkers to value materials produce locally, appreciate the labor of neighbors, value the small things hitherto considered unimportant & taken for granted. People are re-weighing their priorities. Lockdowns and curfews have drastically improved air pollution levels, wild animals are boldly appearing in major towns and cities, birds are singing, nature is enjoying a break without intrusions of humans. All the climate change really needed was for humans to just stay indoors and not tamper with nature! No template, no global conference, no high profile speeches was needed for Mother Nature to recover.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nature\nis superior to any technology <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No\nsubmarine \u2013 No guns and no artillery can wipe out covid-19 and that realization\nmust have unnerved quite a few in the weapons industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nmost sophisticated of nations who had hitherto boasted its superiority placing\nitself on a higher platform and patronizing all others are today overwhelmed to\nhandle the health catastrophe that weak and poorer nations are handling with\ncommon sense and practical hands-on approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The insatiable demand for resources\nhave resulted in 70% loss to forests. 60 billion tonnes of renewable and\nnon-renewable resources are being extracted globally every year. The use of\nfertilisers, which threaten to poison entire ecosystems and wreck soil’s carbon-absorption\nrates, has doubled in the last 13 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three-quarters of the world\u2019s land area has\nbeen significantly altered by people, the report found, and 85 percent of the\nworld\u2019s wetlands have vanished since the 18th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humans\nare only guests \u2013 animals are also part of Nature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humans\nhave also forgotten that they have to share nature with the other inhabitants.\nNo constitution has given humans superior status or right to abuse and destroy\nwhat was given free to man on the condition that it must continue to be\npreserved for future generations too.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animals on factory\nfarms grow unnaturally fast because they\u2019re selectively\nbred and given drugs that cause them to get bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

72 billion land animals\nand over 1.2 trillion aquatic animals\nare killed for food around the world every year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The world\u2019s 7.6\nbillion people represent just 0.01% of all living things. Humans have caused\nthe loss of 83% of all wild mammals & half of plants. Plant represent 82%\nof all living matter \u2013 7,500 times more\nthan humans<\/strong>, bacteria represents 13% &\nCreatures (insects, fungi, fish, animals) are just 5% of which humans are 0.01%\n(Weizmann Institute of Science).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farmed poultry\ntoday makes up 70% of all birds on the planet, with just 30% being wild. 60% of\nall mammals on Earth are livestock, mostly cattle and pigs, 36% are human and\njust 4% are wild animals. Of all the mammals on Earth, 96% are livestock and humans, only 4% are\nwild mammals. About half the Earth\u2019s animals are thought to have been lost in\nthe last 50 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When everything has a price tagged to it \u2013 where is the price for humanity?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using animals as entertainment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animals are taken away from their natural habitat, separated from their families, confined to cages and made to engage in unnatural behavior for human amusement in zoos, circuses often beating animals during training. Some animals are injected with cocaine and illegal drugs. Animals are even trained to fight and even kill each other \u2013 dog fighting, cockfighting etc. Other forms of deplorable sport is the bull-fighting where after the sport is over the bull is killed and eaten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animals as experiments & for\nproducts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year worldwide, 115\nmillion animals are used in experiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The majority of antibiotics\nworldwide are fed to farm animals. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

200,000 animals<\/strong> suffer and die\njust for cosmetics<\/strong> every year around the world<\/strong>. https:\/\/www.peta.org\/issues\/animals-used-for-experimentation\/cosmetic-household-products-animal-testing\/<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of all these cruelties humans\nare even forcing animals to have sex with them (dogs, horses, cows, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 & KARMA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 was thought to have come\nfrom a live animal market where animals are often sold as food in Wuhan, China\nin December 2019. SARS, MERS, BIRD FLU, SWINEFLU, EBOLA and H1N1 were also\ncaused from animals to humans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 has certainly made people\nre-think their eating habits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
