The worst political liars are in Sri Lanka.\u00a0 From time to time, they are on both sides.\u00a0 The most recent fiasco relating to the then Presidential Candidate relating to his citizenship status was hilarious.\u00a0\u00a0 Let’s recapitulate:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harin Fernando took the front line fight to charge that Gota is still a US citizen. When Facebook took down his post, HF\u00a0 \u00a0took to Twitter to post his anger\u00a0 American companies shouldn\u2019t interfere on behalf of an American contesting Sri Lanka\u2019s election. I stand by my every word,\u201d\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Inguruwatte Sumangala Thero began a fast unto death demanding SLPP produce documentary evidence to prove revocation of US citizenship, otherwise, he will continue his fast unto death.\u00a0 His banners read in Sinhala, meaning Save our country from the conspiracy by Gotabaya Rajapakse who is attempting to betray our Great Mother Land to America\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Chandragupta Thenuwara \u00a0( Professional of Visual Arts)\u00a0 and Gamini Viyangoda( a professional driver who worked overseas) filed applications in the \u00a0Court of Appeal and then lost.\u00a0 Then appealed to the Supreme Court and lost again.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to appeal to all those who defend law and order at this time we ask for the protection of these two petitioners\u201d.\u00a0 Prof Thenuwara left Sri Lanka on 16 November, we wish him a long life!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patali Champaka said Gota was trying to claim power illegally,\u00a0 he said so after meeting Malwatte Chapter in Kandy, claiming\u00a0 Gota still has no documents to prove revocation of US citizenship and attempting to grab power illegally\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gotabaya Rajapakse remained silent throughout,\u00a0 but finally on 30 September 2019 he made it loud and clear by saying: Judiciary will determine my innocence\u201d declares Gotabaya Rajapaksa: says He has followed the relevant procedure in all matters and that documents concerning his identity and citizenship being challenged in Courts are authentic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gotabaya is a man who speaks the truth.\u00a0 He knows if the 4th<\/sup> precept of Musawada Weramani is broken, then naturally you break at least one more precept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
