This is in regard to the\nfictitious statement made by you about the genocide of Tamil people\u201d in Sri\nLanka.  Let me state categorically that you are engaging in the lowest\nform of gutter politics. How can you go so low?  You are continuing in the\nfootsteps of politicians in the International Community\u201d Eg. Britain,(David\nCameron, David Miliband, Boris Johnston, ) Canada,((Justin Trudeau) the USA (Hilary Clinton, Robert Blake, Obama)  and some\nNordic countries (Erik Solheim – Norway)  who deceive the Tamil people in\ntheir electorates. Similarly, the gullible Tamil souls in your electorate\nbelieve that your noble heart is bleeding because of the genocide\u201d their kith\nand kin were subjected to during the civil disturbances in Sri Lanka. Just for\na few stark lies in your Facebook\u201d or a few juicy\u201d words at some public\nfunction, these people will fund and support you all the way to the Australian\nParliament. They make very good foot soldiers for any political campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your statement, you have\nquoted 160,000 innocent, unarmed men, women and\nchildren Many were murdered because of their culture, faith, language and\ntraditions\u201d<\/em> Congratulations Hugh, \nyou have won the Numbers Game\u201d Your  160,000 is at the top of the heap.\nOther numbers bandied by different people in the international community\u201d are\ngiven for you reference: – <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please be a gentleman\nand clarify how you computed the 160,000 innocent, unarmed, men, women and\nchildren. Were they inclusive or exclusive of the following categories: –<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. the LTTE\u2019s mostly unrecorded \u2018blitz\u2019\n conscription of combatants and auxiliaries during the last five months; <\/li>
  2. the unknown number of Tigers and civilians who\n slipped through the Navy cordon in 2009 and reached India; <\/li>
  3. those who were killed by the Tigers during\n their escape into government controlled areas. <\/li>
  4.  those who drowned when fleeing across\n Nanthikadal lagoon;  <\/li>
  5. those corpses \u2013 from whatever cause \u2013 buried\n without a record being kept (then or subsequently in testimony); <\/li>
  6. those corpses in the jungle that simply\n decomposed or became food for monitor lizards, jackals and termites; and\n finally <\/li>
  7. the considerable number of Tigers and\n civilians who survived but slipped out of the detention centres before\n being formally registered.<\/li>
  8. death by natural causes.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    If genocide\u201d were genuinely\ntugging at your heart-strings, you have to look no further than your backyard.\nYou will see a well -planned genocide that was executed for more than 100\nyears. The ultimate aim of this extermination was to “eventually forget\nthat there were ever any Aborigines in Australia”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The original owners of this\nland, were poisoned, hunted as animals, tortured, murdered, raped etc., and an\nentire generation uprooted from a land they occupied for 40,000 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The book The Killing Times\u201d\ncounts the human cost of more than a century of frontier bloodshed and how it\nwould be swept under the carpet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \nWould you, Mr. McDermott, face the truth\nand speak about these people<\/a> rather than speak on a subject you\nknow absolutely nothing about, on a myth created by Western nations? Only one\nproblem Mr. McDermott. The original owners of   Australia do not\npossess money to fund your political campaigns, but the Tamils do have plenty\nof the stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
    Coming back to the issue of\ngenocide\u201d, if you sincerely want to know the truth about Sri Lanka, I invite\nyou very sincerely, to come with me to Sri Lanka, where I can introduce you to\nex-LTTE cadres who surrendered to the Security Forces and are now leading\nnormal civilian lives. I also have video footage of how these people campaigned\nfor the newly-elected President, who was supposed to be their sworn enemy.\nThese young men and women were at the epi-centre of the conflict and lived to\ntell the story. Tamil people living in Australia are living in a world of\nbitter disappointment or are refugees who have told stories of torture and\nrape\u201d to enter Australia through the back door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Julie Bishop and Scott\nMorrison, when they were in the opposition, in February 2013, made an\ninvestigative journey to Sri Lanka, met independent individuals and politicians\nof all persuasions and concluded that life was fast returning to normal.
