Dear\nGajendrakumar Ponnambalam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Permit\nme to introduce myself to you, as you might wonder who this guy is, who calls\nhimself Weera-sinha <\/strong>(Courageous-Lion), born and bred in Colombo. \nBorn at 54 Mount Mary off Baseline Road.  Son of a Ceylon Government\nRailway Steam Locomotive Engine Driver.  A Sinhalese-Buddhist to boot, who\nwas schooled at Nalanda (Vidyalaya) College, and left home for London, England,\non 3 December 1956, on a British BOAC 56 seater propeller DC4 plane from\nRatmalana Airport.  It took 41 hours for me to reach Heathrow.  And\nI met your Dad some time in the early 1960s, when he was brought to my home\n(flat) at 51 Faraday Road, Ladbroke Grove, in London, for a cup of tea, by\nour  mutual  friend, a Quantity Surveyor, Balasubramaniam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And\ndo you know what Gajendra, after all these 64 years away from home, I am still\nromancing my beautiful Motherland, Sri Lanka, who gave me a free education to\nmake me who I am today — a Geologist-Palaeontologist-Museologist.  And\nthis is important for you to know.  I am on a Mission in Canada – that\nno one, absolutely no one, and that includes you, will spit at, and kick her\nwhen she is down, and harm her with God-damn lies unfairly,  spitting out\nwords like, Genocide, Discrimination, Persecution, and Human Rights Violations\nof the Tamils.<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gajendrakumar\nwhen I mean no one, it means,  not even the Prime Minister of Canada.\n  All the Prime Ministers since August 1983, have heard my voice loud and\nclear, like that of the sound of the chime of London\u2019s Big Ben at\nnoon,  when their statements hurt my Sinhalese psyche, my Sri\nLankan-conscience and for the love of that beautiful island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\nI question your gall and temerity to stand up in the well of the Sri Lankan\nParliament chambers and reiterate Genocide<\/strong> allegations.  So I seek\nhelp for you from Sweet Mother of Jesus\u201d, to help this Tamil politician, who\nseems to have a skewed  understanding of the active word,Genocide\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gajendrakumar,\nwell son, what is reassuring about my past is that all of this has\nhappened.  And I am sure that you who have lived in London will share my\nsentiments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018From \nHyde Park\u2019s fog, a white-man walks out<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

preaching\nmnemonic fears of love\u2026 and shouts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve\npainted white…I\u2019ve painted black<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I’ve\npainted white upon the blacks\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With\nall that crap that you and I had to endure, we don\u2019t have to crap at each\nother  with exaggerated, Humbugging lies which you had just done in\nParliament.  I just don\u2019t like it. It annoyed me and got my goat and told\nmyself  ...O! No!! There comes another lying Tamil\ncunning-politician.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And\nthat\u2019s when it hit me when I told myself – O! No,  I will not allow that\ncunning Fox, G.G. Ponnambalam, nor a member of his progeny, to try his 50-50\nstunt to give the 10 percent of the island\u2019s Tamil people a chance to govern\nthe 70 percent of my Sinhalese people, on a separatist Tamilian- whim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nthat point Gajendrakumar, it occurred to me that you Tamils have had difficulty\nto give up your \u2018privileged minority\u2019<\/strong> status you all enjoyed during the\n131 years of colonial rule, and couldn’t care a tuppence about the\nprofessionalism, dignity and social status of the wronged majority<\/strong>\u201d,\nthe Sinhalese, during that 131 years of Colonial rule. Right Gajendrakumar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nor\nwill I allow GG\u2019s progeny, who pride in their initials LL.B behind their\nnames,  to try the cunning tricks of the Grandad to dissect my Mother\nLanka into two, with cunning lies as we are children of the same Mother of\nLanka as she had adopted you lot as her sons and daughters who had come over\nthe 18 miles divide of salt-water in the Palk Strait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\nI hope you got my drift, and I will say it my way, as I am not good at playing\n\u2018Hide and Seek\u2019 with the Tamil community, or throw riddles at you to solve\nthem.  I am a straight \u2018face-to-face\u2019 talker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nsay to you, Gajendrakumar, don\u2019t  do anything stupid to wipe out another\ngeneration of Tamil youngsters by picking a war with the majority\u2019Sinhalese and\ntheir Government. It is not  worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This\nis how I see it Gajendrakumar, and I am sure you see it my way too:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This corpse speaks to me<\/em><\/strong>
still warm and its mouth foams<\/em><\/strong>
with his Mother\u2019s milk.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A medallion of a misplaced<\/em><\/strong>
courage of drying blood<\/em><\/strong>
stuck to his chest after a flood of blood<\/em><\/strong>
where a bullet had pierced<\/em><\/strong>
in the assault cracking dark.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am tired carrying<\/em><\/strong>
around your mother\u2019s tears<\/em><\/strong>
washed with her breast-milk<\/em><\/strong>
which were your afternoon feed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I see all around you others strewn<\/em><\/strong>
hastily like poppy-chested flowers<\/em><\/strong>
with eyes of executed children\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

sent to the Front line with<\/em><\/strong>
cyanide capsules strung around<\/em><\/strong>
their necks by adults in Tiger-khaki<\/em><\/strong>
\u00a0who live in safety in brick-houses<\/em><\/strong>
and gunny-bags full with rice-paddy<\/em><\/strong>
walled bunkers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\njoin me Gajendrakumar and sing with me the joy of sharing,  harmony and\nfreedom\u2026yes, let’s hold hands as we could harmonize better –  I will\ncount, one – two- three, and then we will start together. Alright!   Here\nwe go now – 1 – 2 – 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw the endless Kandy-Jaffna skyway<\/em><\/strong>
I saw below me, sapphire-gravel valleys<\/em><\/strong>

you are free to go back to Tamil Nadu<\/em><\/strong>
your Motherland where 75 million<\/em><\/strong>
of your brothers and sisters<\/em><\/strong>
are waiting anxiously to embrace you.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While all voices around us were singing;<\/em><\/strong>
Halleluja..Halleluja…Halleluja,<\/em><\/strong>
Vaarungal…vaarungal\u2026..vaarungal\u2026<\/em><\/strong>
Namo…namo…Matha\u2026..uppergay Sri Lanka Matha\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
and while the sun was switching off for the day<\/em><\/strong>
the Tamil and Sinhalese voices were still chanting,\u2019<\/em><\/strong>
This land was made for us, You and Me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\na final note from WikiLeaks<\/strong>, which makes you look like a weak-kneed\ncunning junior GG-Fox. Here is what it said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colombo Telegraph<\/em><\/strong> found the related leaked\ncable from the WikiLeaks<\/strong> database.  The \u2018Confidential\u201d cable\ndiscusses what had happened on the ground during and since the conflict. \nThe cable was signed by the U.S.Ambassador to Geneva Clint Williamson <\/em><\/strong>on\nJuly 15, 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the meeting with Jacque de Maio, ICRC Head of Operations for\nSouth Asia on July 9, 2009. Just two months after the war, the ambassador\nwrote; The army was determined not to let the LTTE escape from its\nshrinking territory, even though this meant the civilians being kept hostage by\nthe LTTE were at increasing risk.  So, de Maio said, while one could\nsafely say that there were \u2018serious widespread violations of IHL,\u2019 by the Sri\nLankan Forces,<\/em><\/strong> it did not amount to Genocide<\/em><\/strong>. \nHe could cite examples of where the army had stopped shelling when ICRC\ninformed them it was killing civilians.  In fact, the army actually could\nhave won the military battle faster with higher civilian casualties, yet chosen\nhave won the military battle faster with higher civilian casualties, yet chosen\na slower approach which led to a greater number of Sri Lankan military\ndeaths\u2026.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\nthere you are Gajendrakumar.  It doesn’t look good on you, does it? \nYou have three choices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\nis up to you to use this information judiciously thus guarding your integrity,\nyour decency and shield your credibility as a lawyer-politician; or tear the\npiece of paper that it is printed on and throw it into a waste-paper basket; or\nroll it into a cigar and smoke it.  The choice is entirely yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take\ncare Gajendrakumar and be Wise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
