As a nation, we are not only honored to welcome a multinational\ntechnology giant such as HCL, but we are also thankful for the opportunities\nthat this center will offer our youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know, the new Government has\nprioritized the ICT sector and establishing a knowledge and technology based\nsociety to make Sri Lanka a global innovation hub. In addition to implementing\na comprehensive digitization policy for the country, the Government is also\nworking on a number of other related programs, including setting up a Citizen\nCentric Digital Government, establishing a digitally-inclusive Sri Lanka and\npromoting IT entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this backdrop, today&#8217;s event is of\ngreat significance.
