Dear Editor: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is very unfortunate that most of the comments by\nthe author of the email below are unfounded, scientifically incorrect, and is\ngeared to nothing else but character assassination.  Just because a person disagrees, there is no\nreason to attack him or her and engage in assassination.  This is scandalous and defamatory.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The author had been unsuccessfully\ntried previously using the same tactic, using different platforms.  Over\nthe years, some of you may have seen such unfounded deep and unscientific\ncriticisms.  Thus, I am not surprised.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One such example was https:\/\/basecamp.com\/2488885\/projects\/9243833<\/a>\n(currently, inactive), that was funded by the SLGo and maintained by the\nministry of scient and technology, by its head, Prof. de Alwis.  [this\nwebsite states, this Basecamp account is temporarily paused<\/em>.\nAjith de Alwis can resume it].   The goals of this blog\nsite were to come up with novel solutions to help to curb chronic kidney\ndisease in the NCP region in Sri Lanka.  More than 250 people from\nmultiple countries participated and contributed to this site for the benefit of\nSri Lanka, at least over four-year period.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For more information, kindly contact the site\nadministrator, Dr. Sachi Panawela at the ministry of science and technology (pvsachie@gmail.com<\/a> ; Project Scientist \u2013 COSTI).  Because of his extreme, repeated personal\nattacks that had no relevance to science and the mission of the site, his\nparticipation was terminated (in fact, banned) by the mentioned Basecamp\nsite administration.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Banning of his participation of the government-run\nblog site was due to a similar, aggressive personal attacks and vicious\ncharacter assassinations on Sri Lankan scientists that was disruptive and\nbecame a nuisance to the participants against other contributors.  This example also demonstrates the trend of\nhis disliking others with differing views. \nDespite multiple warnings by the SLGo site administrators, author\ncontinued with his unfounded vicious attacks led to preventing his\nparticipation after that.  This\nauthor-initiated email below is yet another beginning of similar line, to\ndemonstrates his glory but with empty information.  Such should not be tolerated or encouraged.\n  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have neither interest or time to waste to refute\nfalsified and bogus clams, interrogations, and personal attacks by anyone.  My comments and writings are based on science\nas we know of today (with the advancement of science and knowledge, these can\nbe changed tomorrow) and on global evidence that is applicable to Sri Lanka.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have no political affiliations in Sri Lanka.  I have lot more important things to do on my\nprimary global efforts for the past four decades, on disease prevention;\u201d not\ntreatment as falsely claimed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
