Walpola Piyananda<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Dear Sir\/Madam,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Lanka\u2019s governments\u2019 timely\nactions from when the COVID-19 virus first entered the country helped keep the\nsituation under control for a long period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently the situation has\nquickly escalated and several Covid-19 positive clusters were found from the\ncommunity. Therefore there is a quarantine curfew currently in place in the\nWestern province, including Colombo the capital of Sri Lanka. Additional\nlockdowns and quarantine curfews are being imposed in affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sri Lanka is identified as one of\nthe most vulnerable middle income country at risk with an economy that depends\non the tourism industry and exports.
