During the\nshort tenure of our government, we take great pride in being able to recommence\nsolving public grievances, and working towards the betterment of our community.\nAfter five years of political stagnation, we were able to restart our social\nand economic growth amidst a pandemic, and so we appreciate the unwavering\nsupport of the Sri Lankan people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In our shared\nquest to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to commend the work done by\nour dedicated frontline staff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Healthcare\nworkers, the armed forces, police and security, government officials and staff,\nvolunteers, everyone who has helped our nation reduce the impact of the virus. While 2020 was a difficult year for all of us in Sri Lanka and around\nthe world, this year has been a true test of our spirit.
