{"id":110872,"date":"2021-01-21T17:21:35","date_gmt":"2021-01-22T00:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=110872"},"modified":"2021-01-21T17:21:35","modified_gmt":"2021-01-22T00:21:35","slug":"two-more-covid-19-deaths-takes-total-to-276","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2021\/01\/21\/two-more-covid-19-deaths-takes-total-to-276\/","title":{"rendered":"Two more Covid-19 deaths takes total to 276"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Courtesy Adaderana<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The Director General of Health Services today confirmed two more COVID-19 related deaths, increasing the death toll in the country due to the virus to 276.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the deceased is a 71-year-old woman from Peliyagoda who had been transferred from Colombo National Hospital to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital after being identified as Covid-19 positive.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She had passed away at that hospital on January 20 due to acute diabetes pneumonia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other patient is a 46-year-old from Athurugiriya who was also identified as Covid-19 positive while being treated at the Colombo National Hospital.
