 Cricket players who may have been above board should\nnot get  involved in politics <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrated captain who lifted the World Cup should have\nstayed as a senior cricketer like Sanga or Mahela and serve the nation .Trying\nto emulate Imran Khan  has not shown much results .Previous government\nhave him a lucrative job as the minister for ports and shipping and also made\nhim the minister of Petroleum .But the country did not see much of his\ncontribution to both  industries <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the Galle Harbour marina project and Yacht repair\nproject was mooted investors  requested to  provide support to the minister <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He did not understand the potential to develop Galle .As the\ninvestor needed to get the state support matter was discussed at the Committee\nchaired by then prime minster RW and minister was advised to help .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the meeting the minister of ports came out and did not\nshow much enthusiasm to support the investor <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galle projects was just forgotten again and the Galle\n harbour is still waiting for development <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marina will never come with cement unloading taking place\ncreating toxic cloud of dust and an abandoned gas carrier Brought in by\n Mundo Gas by another supporter who is none other than Master Divers which\nis sinking for last 15 years or more in Galle <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a minister he could have done something with the help of\nhis <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cricketers brother  – chairman who followed him from\none ministry to another project   to support to develop Galle project and\nit was never done <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colombo Port also did not see much of a growth and\nTrincomalee also<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It would have been better that Arjuna stayed as a veteran\ncricketer and give full support to develop the game rather than now lamenting\nabout the game  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His other younger brother who was  in the other side of\npolitics has not done much either <\/p>\n\n\n\n

General opinion is that he cannot make comments  about\ncricket which he abandoned for a lucrative political carrier where he has\nmiserably failed <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
