Concerned citizens of Sri Lanka<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n

To:              UNHRC\nmember nations at the 46th<\/sup> Sessions in Geneva, to be shared with\nyour representatives at the meeting.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From:         Concerned\ncitizens of the small and nonaligned nation of Sri Lanka dispersed around the\nworld. (Author\u2019s identity is withheld for personal safety.)<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date:           March\n2, 2021<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We seek support for the nonaligned,\nindependent nation of Sri Lanka, and desire for consensus through a vote to\npreserve the sovereignty and independence of Sri Lanka that ended terrorism 12\nyears ago in 2009 after 30 years of suffering for all its people.  Also, to join in maintaining support for\nother small nations that number around thirty-five, that can be subject to\npersecution in place of assistance needed. With hard won peace, they are making\nprogress although the UNHRC resolutions do not wish to recognize progress and\nchoose a path of retribution instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ignoring progress based on assumptions\nand unproven allegations, from unverified sources, the charter of assistance\nand support to small countries has become one of vengeance that can be\ninfluenced by hostile elements and hidden plans to target, destabilize, and occupy\ncountries.    It is not necessary for\nUNHRC to rake up hatred while undermining the UN Charter when people are living\nfreely within the country. Sri Lanka is not benefitted politically or\nmilitarily by targeting civilians.  It\nhas proven evidence of saving civilians mostly from the Tamil minority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weapon used here is Human Rights\u201d\napplied and interpreted as deemed necessary for the agenda of the divided UNHRC.\nCountries can solve their problems without interference or domination from\nbodies that do not have a mandate to do so. \nThe countries could be assisted with resources and with fair and\nequitable judgement instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The demands and proposed actions of the\nUNHRC and its Commissioner Michelle Bachelet are moving in a direction to\nviolate the Human rights of all people of Sri Lanka including the Tamil People\nwho consider themselves Sri Lankans living peacefully in the country.  It will further exacerbate the suffering of\npeople that is not a solution to their allegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The USA is among 32 countries that\nproscribed the terror outfit called Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam (LTTE) that\ninvented the suicide bomb, used forced conscription of men women and children\nas young as ten years old, to make them into human bombs. Even domesticated\nanimals in families were not spared. Declared the deadliest terror outfit by\nnone other than the FBI in the USA.  This\ninvention by Sri Lanka\u2019s Tamil Tigers continue to kill in suicide bombings around\nthe world including US and NATO troops. Protecting such offenders in subtle ways\nare not justified in the charter of any international organization with scant\nattention to the human rights violations by terrorists.  The UNHRC is hounding Sri Lanka with threats\nof punishment when it is not a danger to the region.  The remedial action proposed will deal\nfurther blows to civilian life in the island nation violating their human\nrights by self-guided protectors doing more harm than good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When bigger countries with large armies have\nnot been successful even with invasion or occupation, they are not held accountable\nfor missing persons.  In such cases\nmissing persons become collateral damage except in the case of Sri Lanka.  The proof of the security forces saving a\nlarge population of Tamil civilians captured in the safe zone from certain\nmassacre by the LTTE that crept in with heavy artillery is ignored. Anti Sri\nLankan nations are aware of their forces that have been destroyed with the same\nsuicide bombs invented by the terror outfit in Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
