\u2018SABUDDHI\u2019 Organisation<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n

The\n\u2018SABUDDHI\u2019 Organisation, which works on fostering literature while encouraging\nconnectivity between sports, art, and literature, signed a Memorandum of\nUnderstanding (MoU) with the Global Academic Research Institute (GARI) on 11\nMarch. The agreement is aimed at collaborating\non future academic and research work, as well as providing media support to the\nGARI  through the SABUDDHI Circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018GARI\u2019\nis one of the most prominent educational, conference, and research publication\ncentres in Sri Lanka committed to exchanging knowledge of the experts across\nthe globe. It is also the host of the well-known digital academic\nlibrary\u201d, www.research.lk<\/a>. The GARI currently organizes more than ten international\nacademic conferences annually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nnext international research symposium organised by GARI will be held on the\ntheme of sustained development, peace, and conflict management. It will be held\non Friday, 19th March at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nSABUDDHI Organisation is meanwhile involved in, among other projects, Sabuddhi\npothgula (Library for Schools with less facilities) and organising an annual\nawards ceremony to recognise creditable efforts in local sports literature\nappearing in the print and electronic media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nMoU signed between GARI and Sabuddi is expected to be a new drive towards\ndeveloping the field of research in Sri Lanka and their place in the global\nacademic sphere,\u201d said Sirinama Rajapakse, Executive Director, Sabuddi, also\nadding that their broader aim is to introduce the value of research and\nacademic interest to the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We at\nGARI plan to organise many international academic conferences in Sri Lanka in\nfuture. This new MoU will create a great opportunity for local academic\nresearches to have a greater international appeal,\u201d said GARI Managing Director\nSampath Abeywickrema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nsaid MoU between Sabuddi and GARI was signed at the \u2018Mandarin\u2019 Education Centre\nin Colombo-3. Also took part on the occasion were Thushi Renganathan and Amal\nWijenayake, Directors of GARI, and its Information Manager Hashan Rajapakse.
