Chinese Defence Minister\nand President Rajapaksa hold talks.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Wonderfull friendship. Let it long\nlast for ever for the benefit of our two Nations. The opponents of our\n“Maathruboomiya” are crying foul about the Colombo Port City Project\nand slandering the government with false publicity, backed by a media that is\ncontrolled by unscrupulous business magnates who are the “gatekeepers of\nthe media” bombarding “media metaphors” to stall the progress of\nour nation forward to suit the Western Powers\/selfish agendas and stop our\npeople marching forward with development and progress, peace and harmony. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This has to be confronted upfront by\nthe goverment, by any means, within the “Rule of Law”. A suggestion –\nHE. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa should discuss with the visiting Chinese\nDefence Minister to arrange all parliamentarians, including the opposition ones\nto visit the $. 46 billion “KARAKORAM HIGHWAY PROJECT” \n(China-Pakistan Economic Corridor – CPEC.), named the “Eighth Wonder of\nthe world”<\/strong> by the internationl media, in Pakistan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All these MP’s should be given a\ntour of this wonderfull highway project and the allied infrastructure projects\nthat are being developed in accordence with this “CPEC” project. If\nSri Lanka journalists and media personnel are included, that will help a lot in\nbringing forth a concrete “Political Communication” publicity of\nprint, audio and visual, electronically to the masses of our\n“Maathruboomiya” who are being misled by the “anti-China\nfriendship” propaganda that has been let loose by the Western allied opposition\nin our country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will give an insight of the\nbenefits that Pakistan is gaining economically and socially and the 11 – 14\nbillion sterling pounds of trade that is happening because of this project\nannually, even though the project is still to be finally completed. The\nvisitors should travel the full length of the of the “KARAKORAM HIGHWAY PROJECT” from Pakistan to\nChina to gain the best insight and knowledge of what China’s friendship project\nhas contributed to the infrastructure, socio-economic and social welfare\ndevelopment of Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-way road (known as Karakoram\nHighway and China-Pakistan Friendship Highway) is 1.300km (810 miles) long\nrunning through disputed Kashmir from Hassan Abdal (a small town near\nRawalpindi and Islamabad) to Kashgar, in Xinjiang province, Western China –\nPakistan: 887 km (551 miles) and China: 413 km (257 miles).  It is\nsaid to be the highest paved international road in the world running between\nWestern China and Pakistan. It’s the road to paradise if you like exploring the\nmountains. It\u2019s once in a lifetime road trip for adventure lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been built jointly by\nPakistani and Chinese engineers, technicians and workers as a joint workforce\nof brothers. The highway was a joint Pakistani and Chinese\nproject and required the skills of about 24,000 workers together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Colombo Port City Project in Sri\nLanka will be a similar successfull project once the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill is\napproved by parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More over, Sri Lanka should also\njoin the CPEC project as invited by the PM of Pakistan Hon. Imran Khan during\nhis recent visit to Sri Lanka.     <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
