Ronald Senaratne \u00a0in action with an Indian Actress.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The late Ronal\nSenaratne called himself a ‘self-made psychoanalyst.’ He was popular among the\nIndian folk in London. Those who believed in ‘Chakra’ in the human body thought\nin Ronald Senaratne’s predictions. ‘Chakras’<\/em><\/strong> are various focal\npoints used in multiple ancient meditation practices. He had travelled to the\nUK for the first time in 1988.   News\nspread among the Sri Lankan community about a mystic practitioners’ presence in\nLondon.  He later used to rent a room in London\nand survived the entire period in London out of his psychoanalytic\nreadings.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His\ntechnique<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He adopted a\ntechnique by walking into any ‘Indian Corner shop’<\/strong> in London and studied the eyes of the person who sits at the cashier’s\ndesk and revealed a recent event the cashier had experienced. (Usually,\nthe owner of the corner shop sits at the cashier’s desk<\/em>).  When the cashier dismissed his theory, Ronald\napproached the cashier and placed his thumb on\nthe cashier\u2019s forehead and said something additional\nthat confused the victim! The cashier would then ask Ronald: ” How did\nyou work that out”?<\/em>  Next,\nRonald grabbed hold of his the casher\u2019s thumb with his\nright hand and revealed another  (domestic<\/em>)\nproblem which only the cashier was ware of. From there\nonwards, he said: ” I am a psychoanalyst, and if you need any more\ninformation, the reading will cost you \u00a310\/-”  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, those who were convinced paid him money to help Ronald survive in London. Ronald saved\nall his earnings in Pound Sterling and deposited every penny in a Bank of\nCeylon NRFC ( Non-Rupee Foreign Currency<\/em>) account. When he visited\nGermany, the USA or France, usually he stayed with friends. Lager he became a regular visitor to London, and his savings in the NRFC  bank account always helped him obtain  tourist visas\nto travel and mainly because he had not abused the visa\nperiod.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First\nMeeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The writer first\nmet him at the  MCC Cricket Grounds at\nLord’s, during a cricket match between Sri Lanka vs England. During the\nconversation, the writer gathered that at the age of 15, Ronald had researched\ninto the universal powers of pre-historic ‘Hela Yakka’<\/em><\/strong> that\ndeveloped over generations covering Ravana, Mandori, Vibishana, Pulasthi<\/em><\/strong>\netc., He also acquired knowledge through Ramayana and folk stories in Sri\nLanka. This experience of tapping into the invisible forces helped him energise\nhis subconscious mind through meditation. He seemingly developed a unique\ntechnique of touching various ‘chakras<\/em><\/strong>‘ in a person’s body to\ncome out with the recipients’ problems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A book based on ‘Astral\nbodies and human body aura’<\/em> by \nLombasam Lomba strengthened his knowledge. It helped him delve into\npalmistry, astrology, psychic reading, hypnotherapy, clairvoyance, and\nnumerology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1979 he was sent\nto an International Exhibition held in Frankfurt as a delegate to represent Laksala,<\/em><\/strong>\nwhere he worked as the Manager at the Fort Branch. From Germany, he proceeded\nto France and met with the Sri Lankan Ambassador, Tissa Wijeratne, who\nintroduced him to many personalities in Paris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En route to Sri Lanka, via England, he was\nintroduced to the Leader of the then Liberal Party, the late Jeremy Thorpe,\nthrough a friend of Tissa Wijeratne. Ronald was also introduced to the late\nDame <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contact\nwith British politician<\/strong>s<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald Senaratne was introduced to Mrs Margret Thatcher by Tissa\nWijeratne’s friend. Ronald predicted that  Mrs Margaret Thatcher  would become ‘the Prime Minister of\nEngland with a landslide victory and bring about a great victory for  the Conservative Party<\/em>;<\/em> and Mrs Thatcher would govern  the UK \nfor over ten years!’<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald predicted\nthat Jeromy Thorpe would get involved in an embarrassing court case, but he\nwould be acquitted of all allegations, \u2018yet his political\ncareer would be in danger<\/em>!\u2019  A\nfew years later, as Ronald envisaged, Jeremy Thorpe faced trial on a scandalous\n‘gay’<\/em> accusation. Finally, he was acquitted, but he lost his party\nleadership and disappeared from the political scene forever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald Senaratne\nalso predicted  Mrs Sirimavo Bandaranaike’s\ncivil rights case in advance, yet he maintained that she would continue her\npolitical career without any hindrance in the future. Ronald Senaratne also\npredicted Mrs Indira Gandhi’s political comeback and her son Rajiv Gandhi’s\ntransformation from an airline pilot to an international young political\nleader. This Sri Lankan psychoanalyst has also recorded Pakistan’s\nPresident Zia Ul-Haq’s tragic end. The writer did write about Ronald Senaratne for the first time in the Sri Lanka Sunday Observer on\nNovember 27 1988, under the caption: ‘Sri Lankan\nclairvoyant use<\/em><\/strong>s<\/em><\/strong> tactile phenomena<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em>‘<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With an\nunpredictable tactile phenomenon on a person’s chakras<\/em><\/strong>, he managed divulge many controversial\nfacts about a recipient – face to face, irrespective of\none’s social background. It no doubt shocked many\nseekers to become dumbfounded in front of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hallmark<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the UK\nelections in 1979, Mrs Thatcher won a landslide victory for the Conservative\nParty. She was elected as the Prime Minister and continued for over ten years,\nas Ronald predicted.  She later wrote a  letter to Ronald, personally appreciating his\ntalents. Jeromy Thorpe, too wrote to Ronald, thanking him for his accurate\npredictions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald used such\nletters to his advantage and exhibited those complimentary letters to whoever\nwas cynical about his tactile approaches. He always had a soft touch towards\nMrs Thatcher, akin to the Ancient Mariner in Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem – ‘The\nRime of the Ancient Mariner<\/em><\/strong>.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He maintained\nthat  ‘Sri Lanka needed to be thankful to\nMrs Thatcher for the Mahaveli Victoria dam project in Kandy, as it was named to\nhonour Queen Victoria, one of the greatest monarchs, who ruled England and the\nBritish Empire for an extended period\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Psycho-analytical\nsojourns<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The accurate\npredictions on two staunch British politicians encouraged Ronald to become more\nprevalent in his readings. They helped him to develop new contacts in many\nparts of the West and the USA. He became more popular as a ‘psychic\nconsultant’<\/em><\/strong> among his new fans. They always invited him regularly to\nvisit them in their countries and provided board and lodging for him. Such\ninvitations helped him to see the West, \nIndia and the USA annually. He called such travels  “psycho-analytical sojourns”.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald Senaratne\u2019s Motto.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His motto was, “seeing is\nbelieving<\/em><\/strong>“, “touch is fascinating and real<\/em><\/strong>“,\nand “practical experience is nature consciousness<\/em><\/strong>“. In\nattempts to put such theories into practice, he often experienced barrages of\ncriticism from the UK Sri Lankan community, but his fans did acknowledge his\nastuteness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald identified\nthose chakra points<\/em><\/strong> in the human body connected  to one aura. They helped him to  find out about the person past and  predict future\nexperiences, who sits in front of him. When he met with the Hollywood actress Goldie\nHawn with Shirley Temple, he followed the protocol of advising Goldie Hawn\nabout his technique of tactile phenomenon. He explained to the American actress\nmany native doctors do recognise a patient’s diseases by feeling the\npatients’  pulse. Likewise, in his psychic readings, it was akin to the feeling of recipient\u2019s pulse. Goldie Hawn\nallowed him to follow his style. Having done so, Ronald predicted several\npersonal details to her, which convinced her immeasurably. On June 13, 1966, he\nreceived a fax message from Goldie Hawn, \nwhich read, in part, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Dear\nRonald,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the most enlightening\nexperience with you today. More than forecasting the future, you saw my soul\nthrough your gift of reading the light chakra energy<\/em><\/strong> – Goldie\nHawn”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronald’s meeting with the Hollywood\nactress became public knowledge, by word-of-mouth,  and Sri Lankans in the\nUSA and Americans sought after him, which  increased his USA clientele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before leaving the\nUSA, Ronald revisited Goldie Hawn in her mansion in Hollywood\nto bid\nher goodbye. At that moment, she was relaxing in her private swimming pool at home.\nShe welcomed him and issued a cheque for $500 as a gift token. On his return to\nLondon, and visited the writer with this fascinating story and showed the\ncheque, the writer immediately published it in a Sri\nLankan English newspaper, with a copy of the cheque.  The writer was accredited as the London\nCorrespondent for a Newspaper Group in Sri Lanka at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Essence of nature<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delving further\ninto the subject of nature, he referred to the Sidashwatha <\/em><\/strong>( Bo )\ntree, which protected Prince Siddhartha during his tedious process of seeking\nenlightenment to become the Buddha. The Bo-tree and Prince Siddhartha’s\nrelationship appears to be a  symbol of\ninterwoven natural elements blending with everything in individual consciousness.  In other words, it develops the sixth sense\naura in man, who then realises the amount of permanency and impermanency within\none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His\nfirst book.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His first book was\nhis travel experiences named “Sangna Lokayen Vihidena Rahas<\/strong>” (secrets\nthat emanate from the universe<\/em> ). The book covered topics about his\nmeetings with eminent universal Personalities; Human\nAura; Radiation of Energy out of the  Bo Tree; the Kingdom of Death;\nUnder-Water Eye; Mighty ocean;  ‘Naga Lowa’<\/em><\/strong> (Kingdom\nof snakes<\/em>) et al.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Praneeth\nAbayasundara of Sri Jayewardenepura University once commented on Ronald\nSenaratne’s <\/p>\n\n\n\n

book. He said that “a psychic expert had gained a profound knowledge\nof meditative forms<\/em><\/strong>“. He raised some questions to every reader of\nthis book by asking:‘Whether people should accept only things that can be\nseen and heard? Are there not many facets to life where people are unable to\nsee and hear? <\/em>How many research papers are there concentrating on such\ntopics, and can such work be considered good science?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs.\nSirimavo Bandaranaike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He always\nassociated with Mrs Sirimavo Bandaranaike – studying, analysing, and discussing\nthe planetary movements that affected her life. When Mrs. Bandaranaike\u2019s future appeared to be ‘clouded’<\/em> with a pending\ncivic rights case against her by J.R.Jayawardene, she consulted\nRonald Senaratne and wanted to know the case’s outcome. He predicted it appeared to be bleak. As predicted,\nshe had to go through twelve years of traumatic experience. He also predicted\nthat after her traumatic experience Mrs. Sirimavo Bandaranaike would shine\nagain in the political arena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Ronald Senaratne propasised Mrs Bandaranaike\nbecame the Prime Minister of  Sri Lanka\nfor the third time, but she became the world’s first woman Prime\nMinister. Many other females such as Indira Gandhi,\nMargaret Thatcher and Golda Meir followed suit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs Bandaranaike\nalways invited Ronal Senaratne to her birthday parties  at Horagolla, whenever he was in\nSri Lanka , and introduced him to her friends and\nrelations.  He always maintained that her aura helped the Sri Lanka Freedom Party gain\npower within a short period of its formation. Also, he predicted\nthat her daughter, Chandrika Bananalike Kumaratunga, would become the President\nof Sri Lanka and govern the country for eleven consecutive years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of his\ndemise, Ronald Senaratne was working on an English version of his second book in-depth with concise additional\nmaterial and revelations out of his latest experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ronal\nSenaratne’s ultimate ambition in life was to retire as a ‘global senior\ncitizen’<\/em><\/strong> by travelling around the world and tapping into peoples’\nauras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
