As the Chinese Communist Party celebrates its century, it can\nbe proud of the unusual combination of political control, national &amp;\neconomic planning that has taken China on the path to progress &amp; success.\nChina is telling the world that Socialist Democracy is more successful than the\nLiberal Democracy the West practices. West was modern, China is modern, West\nboast of state of the art technology, China can match this any day, the West\nclaims to have rich &amp; riches \u2013 China has the world highest number of\nmillionaires &amp; billionaires! There is nothing much of significance that the\nWest can claim superiority in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ngrowth of China has been phenomenal. To comprehend this, people must be aware\nof what China was and what China is now. This is the pride that inspires and\ncommits Chinese to take China to greater heights. China\u2019s progress is attributed\nto the Chinese Communist Party, the decisions of the leaders, the meticulous\nplanning, checks and balances &amp; monitoring of its projects. China was under imperial rule for 6000 years\nwhich ended only in 1912 with the ousting of the Qing Dynasty. The Chinese\nCommunist Party was formed on 21 July 1921 in Shanghai co-founded by Chen Duxiu\nand Li Dazhao. Shanghai is today, China\u2019s most populous city &amp; engine of\nits economy. The People\u2019s Republic of China was founded on 1 October 1949 under\nthe leadership of Mao Zedong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China\nhas experienced its share of misfortunes \u2013 millions of deaths from hunger,\nfeudal imperial system, devastation to crops &amp; livelihoods of farmers. Like\nall countries, China too experienced its ups and down phases but has come out\nlike a true dragon. But with each unpleasant experience, China has found\nalternative workable solutions. There is nothing stopping other countries from\ndoing the same as per their benchmarks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\nis much debate &amp; obsession over China being led by 1 political party. The\nWestern countries of the world are primarily where they are because of the lead\nthey hold following colonization and plundering of resources and materials from\nthe countries they invaded &amp; occupied &amp; the cruel nuances they left\nbehind to ensure the people of the former colonies remained plagued with\nconflicts. Not stopping there, every international system in place originated\nfrom their pen including clauses to their advantage. With time however,\nglobalization meant having to draw the former colonies into the system. The US House of Representatives has\nbeen led 25 times by Republicans and 35 times by Democrats throughout the 120\nyears of its existence. Is life so honky dory for 328m Americans? Are they all\nhappy with the political system? With all the supposed \u2018freedoms\u2019 \u2018rights\u2019 US\nclaims to provide, are the American people happy and are their needs all\nprovided? While the US Govt and US media has problems with China, US &amp;\nother multinational corporations are happy to operate in China. McDonalds,\nStarbucks, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, AT&amp;T, GE, Walmart, Target while KFC sells\nmore chicken in China than in US. McDonalds has 3000 outlets across China while\nStarbucks has 4100 stores in 160 Chinese cities! Apple, Dell, Texas\nInstruments, Trader Joes, Home Depot, Nike, Gucci, Abercrombie &amp; Fitch all\noperate in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.2m\nAmericans travelled to China in 2016 while 3million Chinese travelled to US in\nthe same year. Annually 155million Chinese travel to all corners of the world.\nIf the 155million Chinese are allowed to leave China to tour other corners of\nthe world and they return to China what does that say? US owes China $1.1trillion. Will any US Government take\nresponsibility for placing the taxpayer with $21trillion debt?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around\n150 countries owe China $1.1trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7billion\npeople will have 7billion aspirations and no government can cater to every\ncitizen\u2019s demands. But a government shoulders the responsibility of a nation\n&amp; its people. That government whatever its vision (capitalist or communist)\nis duty-bound to provide for the basic needs. In looking at the West\u2019s liberal\ncapitalist system and multi-party system as against the one-party system in\nChina and the colossal development &amp; with it the corresponding upliftment\nto the lives of the Chinese \u2013 this is where the world has to give a thumbs up\nto China without envy.&nbsp; It was Zhou Enlai who declared that China would\nmodernize along 4 main pillars \u2013 Science &amp; Technology, Agriculture,\nIndustry &amp; National Defense. From China\u2019s entry to the World Trade\nOrganization in 2001 in 21 years China has been risen cautiously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From\na country that could hardly feed its people \u2013 China is today an economic giant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nChallenge the Chinese Communist Party faces is to maintain its Communist\nframework while interconnecting China\u2019s people to the global economy &amp;\nChina\u2019s role in it. Without a doubt the Chinese people feel a strong sense of\npride in its country and the developments and achievements made by its\ngovernment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\nachievement is nothing that any capitalist nation can envy or despise. China\u2019s\ngrowth and development is testimony to what countries can achieve with\nplanning, monitored privatization without corrupt systems which is what ails\nmost countries across the world. If they cannot find\nfault with China\u2019s human rights, they find fault in China\u2019s freedom of speech\nor they will hen peck regarding China\u2019s crackdown on dissidents. If these do\nnot shirk China, they will create new ones. While China will deal with each in\nits own way, there are certainly areas that China\u2019s Communist Party can improve\nupon. Internally too China\u2019s Communist Party must deal with the internal issues\nbefore these become hijacked by China\u2019s enemies to attack China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While\ndevelopment, it also entails a burden on the environment &amp; nature. China\nshould be mindful of ensuring its development co-exists coherently with nature\n&amp; the environment. China\u2019 Communist Party must generate its own powerful\ncommunication system to immediately proactively deal with the negatives created\nto undermine and alter people\u2019s opinion of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nargument that GDP figures does not erase social issues that exist is true of\nall countries. China is no different. But the difference lies in the systematic\napproach China ventures to solve them. Though these solutions are unlikely to\nbe acceptable to liberal &amp; western notions, the Western systems are nothing\nthey can boast superiority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nCommunist Party of China must maintain its brand name adjusting only to the\ninternal environment &amp; not please the external world.
