They\nshould simply limit themselves to be guided by the Vienna Convention on diplomatic\nrelations, The article 41.1 of the Convention is very specific how the\ndiplomats should conduct themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Article\n41 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Without\nprejudice to their privileges and immunities, it is the duty of all persons\nenjoying such privileges and immunities to respect the laws and regulations of\nthe receiving State. They also have a duty not to interfere in the internal\naffairs of that State. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.All\nofficial business with the receiving State entrusted to the mission by the\nsending State shall be conducted with or through the Ministry for Foreign\nAffairs of the receiving State or such other ministry as may be agreed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.The\npremises of the mission must not be used in any manner incompatible with the\nfunctions of the mission as laid down in the present Convention or by other\nrules of general international law or by any special agreements in force\nbetween the &nbsp;sending and the receiving\nState<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically\n, the US ambassador in publishing her comments on Sri Lanka\u2019s internal issue and\nthe Indian High Commissioner in conducting discussions with the TNA on domestic\nadministration issues of Sri Lanka have transgressed the Vienna Convention\nopenly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have once\nupon a time dealt with the former British High Commissioner in the past when he\nbreached the convention.
