Dear Editor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  I just viewed\na  a video received via social media\nshowing seemingly a challenge of a lady in Jaffna by the police and the sudden\nappearance of a lawyer, clearly positioned in advance to be handy,  confronting the police with an allegation of\nextra judicial action .The camera\u2019s were also handy to make a recording of\nit  , showing enough to make the police\nappear in poor light . This was my response to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0 I have fully anticipated such video\u2019s .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This appears to be\u00a0 an Engineered confrontations with the police , videoed partially to show Police in poor light, wIthout explaining the circumstances that led to the police action, leaving it to the viewers imagination to discern. This is not difficult to predict., (This was practiced widely in the making of the UK Channel for Sri Lanka Killing Fields\u201d film) . These will be repeated and the Sri Lankan\u2019s will see to it that these will go viral\u00a0 and blame the police of HR violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All this is\u00a0 in particularly\u00a0 targeting,\u00a0 the visit by an\u00a0 EU delegation on Monday 27\/9\/21, to assess SL\u2019s suitability for continuation\u00a0 of GSP +\u00a0 preferential import duty for exports to EU accounting for 30% , over 5 billion pa, of SL\u2019s forex earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the response of the combined opposition of NGO, Tiger Diaspora <\/p>\n\n\n\n

and JVP\/SJB to thwart any economic recovery that may follow COVID control following the highly successful vaccination program which they failed to under mine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Faint light at the end of the economic challenge tunnel that had just started to flicker would then be switched off plunging SL back into\u00a0 another economic and social abyss.\u00a0 The gullible SL population will happily orchestrate the blame for the govt for this result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To repeat, the strategy is for apparently normal citizen to confront <\/p>\n\n\n\n

law and order, create a challenge from the police, make it a confrontation, have a lawyer and camera handy to make a clever recording to show law enforcement in poor light, as violating HR\u00a0 and release it to social media and Sri Lankans\u00a0 will do the rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me remind you that this is a part of the misinformation based undermining \/ destabilization campaign\u00a0 that commenced in Dec 2019 one month after the Presidential election in Nov\/19 with the alleged kidnapping of the Swiss embassy employee raising the spectre of\u00a0 a re appearance of the “white van culture”. This was exposed\u00a0 as a staged fraud.However, only a few SL\u2019s remember it and even fewer would connect it with todays :\u201d incident”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unless the SL population is super vigilant and stop the spread of videos of this nature\u00a0 on their tracks, the Sri Lankan\u2019s will be the ones who will suffer most.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
