{"id":119324,"date":"2021-10-18T15:08:30","date_gmt":"2021-10-18T22:08:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=119324"},"modified":"2021-10-18T15:10:33","modified_gmt":"2021-10-18T22:10:33","slug":"570-new-coronavirus-cases-confirmed-within-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2021\/10\/18\/570-new-coronavirus-cases-confirmed-within-today\/","title":{"rendered":"570 new coronavirus cases and 23 deaths confirmed within today"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Courtesy Adaderana<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The Health Ministry says that another 103 persons have tested positive for Covid-19 increasing the daily count of new cases to 570.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes 102 patients associated with the New year COvid-19 cluster and one returnee from overseas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This brings the total number of Covi-19 cases registered in Sri Lanka to 532,218 while 25,736 infected patients are currently being treated across the island.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile the Director General of Health Services has confirmed another 23 Covid-19 related deaths for October 17, increasing the death toll in the country due to the virus to 13,507.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to figures released by the Govt.
