China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n

Sri\nLankan Exporters of food items will soon have the opportunity of accessing the\ngigantic Chinese food market with the China Council for the Promotion of\nInternational Trade (CCPIT) hosting the second China On-Line Import Fair and\nmatchmaking of Food and Agro products (CIFFA) from November 15 to December 3,\n2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be lots of scope for a\nlarge number of exportable food and beverage products from Sri Lanka such as Ceylon\ntea, King Coconut, Coconut Arrack, Fruits such as mangoes, pineapples, and sea\nfood such as shell fish, tuna fish, Spices such as Cinnamon, Black Pepper and\nCardamom etc.
\nFurther there is also scope for confectionary products such as biscuits,\nchocolates, kithul treacle, ice creams. The opportunity would be beneficial to\nSMEs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

China\nhas the world’s largest market of imported food with the retail scale exceeding\n1 trillion RMB, and this market is still vigorously growing, which means there\nis great potential for global food manufacturers and suppliers\u201d, the CCPIT\nOnline Marketing Coordinator Grace Li Jiani mentioned <\/p>\n\n\n\n

   \u2022 400+\nChinese selected importers and dealers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will invite\nmore than 400 buyers, including e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba\u2019s T-Mall\nand JD.com. Further large supermarkets and relevant food enterprises as buyers.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1st<\/sup>\nCIFFA was held in June 21th-25th, 2021. This event was also operated on a\nvirtual platform which ran so smoothly that it was highly commended by\nexhibitors and buyers alike. There were 24 overseas exhibitors, 320 exhibits,\n350 registered Chinese buyers and 100 plus online match makings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1st CIFFA event\nsaw more than 350 registered quality buyers participating with more than 5,000 secured\norders. Buyers from large domestic exhibitions like CIIE (Shanghai), Canton Fair.\nSome of the exhibitors included from countries included Italy Romania, Russia,\nTurkey, Mongolia, Brazil, Mexico, Dominica, Guatemala\nand Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
