 Stand ever ready to wipe away the tears of those who\nare in distress or hurting in any way\u201d <\/strong>\u2013 <\/em>Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 31 October 2021, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim\nCommunity, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad\ndelivered a faith inspiring address to conclude the International Conference of\nthe charity Humanity First<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2-day event, which was held at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in\nLondon and then in Islamabad, Tilford on Sunday was themed as \u2018Poverty\nalleviation through empowerment\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Humanity First Silver Jubilee conference, delayed a year due\nto COVID-19, was attended either physically or virtually by more than 1200\npeople, comprising Humanity First delegates and members from over 60 countries\naround the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gist of keynote address that covered the objectives of\nHumanity First, outlining its mission to serve those in need. by Ahmadiyya Head\nas below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad first mentioned that Humanity First\nInternational was unable to hold its conference last year, and that this year\nmarked 26 years since its inception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has now been 26 years since\nHumanity First was first formally registered and, with the Grace of Allah, ever\nsince its inception, Humanity First has continued to grow and develop and has\nconducted a lot of impactful work in many parts of the world. It has served in\nsome capacity or other in over sixty countries, including in the Americas,\nEurope, throughout Africa, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Holiness mentioned some of the humanitarian initiatives\ncarried out by Humanity First across the planet including providing water,\neducation and sustainable skills projects in underdeveloped countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Holiness also mentioned that Humanity First had progressed\nand developed so much over the past few years that it had now started to be a\nglobally recognized institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 By the Grace of Allah,\nHumanity First is now a very well established and well-respected international\ncharitable organization. Indeed, Humanity First has now reached the stage where\nexternal NGOs or similar humanitarian organizations are seeking to partner and\ncollaborate with it to fulfil their own charitable obligations and objectives.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued: <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It reflects the fact that Humanity\nFirst has earnestly strived to fulfil that noble objective which Allah the\nAlmighty has commanded us to pursue in the Holy Quran \u2013 and which ought to be\nthe life-long objective of a Muslim \u2013 to serve humanity and to fulfil the needs\nof those who are facing any adversity.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Holiness explained that this objective is one vouchsafed to\nMuslims through the example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings\nof Allah be upon him).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are countless traditions and\nsayings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that illustrate how he spent his entire life\nserving mankind and striving to inculcate the same spirit of sympathy for\nothers within his followers. Certainly, the Holy Prophet (peace and\nblessings of Allah be upon him) was an everlasting source of mercy for mankind\nand through his blessed words and deeds, he shone an illuminating and\neverlasting light upon the magnificent teachings of Islam and demonstrated that\nserving mankind is an inherent and truly fundamental part of our faith.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Islam teaches that one\u2019s\nneighbours have great rights upon them. Muslims have been taught that they must\ntreat their neighbours with grace and compassion and be ever ready to help them\nin their times of need and grief\u2026 Furthermore, the definition of a \u2018neighbour\u2019\nin Islam is extremely vast and far-reaching. It not only includes people who\nlive nearby, but also includes people who live much further afield, a person\u2019s\ntravel companions, work colleagues, subordinates and many others besides.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Holiness also spoke about the need to look after and support\nthe orphans, the sick and the needy in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On one occasion, whilst speaking\nabout fulfilling the rights of mankind, the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim\nCommunity (peace be upon him) said: \u2018To love mankind and to show compassion to\nothers is an immense form of worship of God Almighty and an outstanding means\nof attaining His pleasure and rewards.\u2019 <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enlightening us on how to serve\nhumanity, the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) said: \u2018Allah the\nAlmighty repeatedly commands that, irrespective of religion or ethnicity,\nyou should show love and compassion to all people.\u2019 Allah commands us to\nfeed the hungry, free those shackled in bondage, pay off the arrears of those\nmired in debt, shoulder the burdens of others and truly fulfil the duties owed\nto mankind.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearing the end of his address, His Holiness told Humanity First\nto look to the future and to ensure that it continues to progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad continued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certainly, I am pleased that the\nworkers and volunteers of Humanity First throughout the world are serving with\ngreat zeal and determination and a true spirit of service and devotion. It is\nmy prayer that this spirit never diminishes but only ever increases.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Conference concluded with a silent prayer led by His\nHoliness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to His Holiness\u2019 address, Chairman Humanity First\nInternational, Ahmad Yahya presented a report of the works of Humanity First\nover the past 26 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
