The demand to name themaha\nmolakaru\u201d<\/strong>is a mere red herring. Why did the Church not demand the same\nanswers throughout LTTE\u2019s brutal killings or even from the Yahapalana Govt\nunder whose watch the crime took place? Why didn\u2019t the Church demand answers\nwhen Buddhist artefacts and Buddha statues were vandalized & destroyed? How\nabout answering how present Churches were erected seizing Temple lands \u2013 who\nare the \u2018maha molakaru\u2019 of these? More importantly why is no one caring to ask\nwhy on earth 8 Muslims would commit suicide to further a Sinhala Buddhist\ncause? All these dramas are diverting people from the conquest\/terror ideology\nat play & the real agenda which is identical to the ploys used during\ncolonial rule?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today,\nthe historical wrongdoers are asking Sinhala Buddhists to behave and plucking\nout checklists of how Sinhala Buddhists should behave completely ignoring\naccountability for the sins committed over 500 years upon countries invaded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPapal Bulls have not been annulled & remain valid still & these edits\ndeclared from the Church & by the Pope clearly establishes Christianity as\nsupreme, treating non-Christians as \u2018uncivilized\u2019 while lands occupied by\nnon-Christians had the right to be \u2018discovered & declared Christian\u2019 &\nthe people forced to convert. Native Indians lost their lands due to these\nedits, Aborigines & Mauri\u2019s lost their lands due to Terra Nulles Papal\nBull. The reference to these are brushed aside as things that happened in the\npast & to be forgotten but do they apply the same principle when the\ncolonial agenda continues via western neocolonial hegemony & arms industry\nthat allows them to bomb countries back to the stone age & bomb civilians\nand call it collateral damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At\nthe other end of the spectrum we see 99% of world\u2019s terror based on a terror\nideology as a result of misusing selective religious verses. These resulted in\nthe burning to cinders of the world\u2019s oldest library in Nalanda & the\ndemolition of the world\u2019s tallest Buddha statues in Afghanistan and expunging\nof pre-Islamic Buddhist history in Maldives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Muslims\njust as Christians\/Catholics may be peaceful but the fanatics & others\ncarry on a crusade because they believe and they uphold verses they selectively\ntake from their sacred books. If these verses exist and if they are the cause\nfor terror, why are these not removed if everyone\u2019s ultimate goal is peace\n& unity. So long as these verses remain, militants will be churned\nannually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However,\nit is more fashionable to point fingers at Buddhists & crown them\n\u2018militant\u2019 while ignoring all the larger more dangerous crimes taking place. A\nthero is given 6 years rigorous imprisonment simply for questioning the\nunfairness of the Court sending military intelligence officers to prison \u2013 he\nis today branded a \u2018criminal\u2019 as a result of the contempt of court judgement\nwithout aware of why he was sent to prison!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Demonizing\nSinhala Buddhists is a colonial project and continues still. The present\ncartoon attack is one such example. The colonials outsourced this task to the\nbrown sahibs who are molded into positions via special scholarship schemes,\nelite schools,  hand-picked training sessions & then placed in powerful\npositions to subtly carry out the objectives tasked to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately,\nthe Sinhala Buddhists lack the clout & the \u2018kaduwa\u2019 to highlight the\nagendas at play and the handful that do are quickly silenced by a well-funded\ncampaign of name-calling and ridiculing so the public is diverted from paying\nattention to what they wish to convey and warn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nhistorical role today is tasked to brown sahibs in robes, working in media,\nworking as lawyers, political analysts, politicians \u2013 basically in every sphere\nof importance where they can determine public sentiment & influence the\npublic. Sadly, some Sinhala Buddhists are also drawn into this exercise which\nuplifts & colours the agenda when one\u2019s own shames ones\u2019 own. There is\nlittle harm in this if this was done without a hidden agenda but the fact that\nthese are all red herrings and exercises choreographed from overseas is what we\nmust keep in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\nwhen Rev. Siril suddenly has a zoom session and berets an officer who was not\neven holding position when the Easter Sunday attacks took place, should\ncertainly make all to wonder \u2013 what is the agenda behind this exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leaving\naside the security aspect, what is unfortunate is that a similar attempt to\ndestabilize Sri Lanka emerged in 2005 ahead of the Presidential elections when\nRev Oswald Gomis & Lalith Kotelawala put a paper advertisement subtly\nasking Christians\/Catholics not to vote for Mahinda Rajapakse as President \u2013 a\nmessage that Churches were asked to convey to their congregations too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly,\nthe Church links with LTTE cannot easily be forgotten or forgiven because the\ndead across 3 decades was far more than the Easter Sunday victims. No victim is\nmore important than the other. But, those who help the perpetrators are just as\nguilty as the perpetrators. This applies to all those who plotted &\nsecretly planned the Easter Sunday bombings. Those who were aware of the\nattacks but did nothing though guilty of negligence are not as guilty as those\nwho planned it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nimportant message in this is that while the country is trying to move forward\nagainst many odds especially directly from external quarters \u2013 their internal\npawns are playing a far more dangerous & dubious destabilizing game. These\nlocals are actually to be regarded as far more dangerous & treacherous than\nthe known enemy. They pretend to be a friend of the nation but they report not\nto the nation but to their masters overseas & under their orders they plan\nto demoralize people, brainwash their minds from defending the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
