India-Sri Lanka partnership continues to work towards energy security of Sri Lanka,\u201d the High Commission in Colombo tweeted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Steps will be taken to immediately unload the consignment and hand over the fuel to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fuel consignment was delivered by the Oil tanker \u2019Swarna Pushp\u2019 arriving from India.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, Sri Lanka signed a $500 million credit line with India to import fuel, as the country seeks to stave off power cuts amid a foreign exchange crisis that has hampered purchases of diesel for power plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM) is providing the credit line for purchasing petroleum products.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Courtesy Adaderana He said the India-Sri Lanka partnership continues to work towards energy security of Sri Lanka.
