{"id":124962,"date":"2022-05-04T11:29:33","date_gmt":"2022-05-04T18:29:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/?p=124962"},"modified":"2022-05-04T11:29:33","modified_gmt":"2022-05-04T18:29:33","slug":"usd-selling-rate-hits-rs-370-at-several-banks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lankaweb.com\/news\/items\/2022\/05\/04\/usd-selling-rate-hits-rs-370-at-several-banks\/","title":{"rendered":"USD selling rate hits Rs. 370 at several banks"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Courtesy Adaderana<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><strong>UPDATE:&nbsp;<\/strong>The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has announced the official exchange rates of the US Dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Accordingly, the selling rate of the USD is listed as Rs. 350.05 and the buying rate is Rs. 362.99, according to the central bank.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Several licensed commercial banks in Sri Lanka today (May 04) announced their selling rate as Rs. 370 per US Dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selling rate of US dollar per Sri Lankan Rupee according to the daily exchange rates of several licensed commercial banks is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BOC \u2013 Rs. 366<br>People\u2019s Bank \u2013 Rs. 359<br>Sampath Bank \u2013 Rs. 370<br>Commercial Bank \u2013 Rs. 370<br>NDB \u2013 Rs. 370<br>Amana Bank \u2013 Rs. 360<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the wake of the Central Bank\u2019s decision to float the currency, the buying and selling rates of the USD have been fluctuating daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 07, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka announced that greater flexibility has been allowed in the exchange rate with immediate effect.
