Canada<\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>January 4, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Letters Editor<br>THE OTTAWA CITIZEN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You said that <\/strong>&#8216;<strong>Canada linked to\u00a0alleged war horrors&#8230; accused of killing\u00a0innocents in Syria\u00a0and Iraq.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s not white-wash Canada&#8217;s indirect involvement in the killings of innocent<\/strong> <strong>Sinhalese people in the border\u00a0villages in North and East of Sri Lanka in the thousands<\/strong> <strong>during the Tamil Eelam War,\u00a0 by the most ruthless terrorists\u00a0in the\u00a0world, designated\u00a0as such by the UN of the Tamil Tigers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It was Canada that let the Canadian Tamil Tigers collect two million dollars a month for\u00a013 Liberal Governing years\u00a0beginning\u00a0with\u00a0Jean Chretien days.\u00a0\u00a0It was these\u00a0monies that were used to purchase\u00a0sophisticated\u00a0war weapons to kill the innocent Sinhalese people in droves.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s not forget\u00a0that\u00a0it was a cheque that was cut for nearly\u00a0$7 million dollars from a Bank in<\/strong> <strong>Vancouver under a\u00a0 Tamil name to purchase 50 tonnes\u00a0of TNT and 10 tonnes of RDX\u00a0from the Rubezone Chemical Factory in Ukraine\u00a0in 1994, that was used in the truck bomb\u00a0by the<\/strong> <strong>Tamil Tigers\u00a0that\u00a0brought down the Central\u00a0Bank building in Colombo&#8217;s Finance District\u00a0 killing<\/strong> <strong>86 innocent civilians and maiming for life another 1338 on 31 January\u00a01996,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Let&#8217;s\u00a0add Sri Lanka to Syria and Iraq\u00a0where Canada\u00a0has been involved\u00a0in war\u00a0killings<\/strong> <strong>directly and indirectly in international war\u00a0theatres,\u00a0 Canada is not lily-white by any means.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Asoka Weerasinghe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gloucester.
