All that\u2019s missing today is the transfer of the boots and military weaponry, including nuclear warships, from Diego Garcia. &amp; Thanjavur. Or Thoothukudi. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; On Monday, March 20, on the first day of the Northern spring, the IMF displayed their meagre largesse. On Thursday, March 22, the Central Bank Governor met the \u2018heads of media organizations\u2019 at the President\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The IMF says it is providing \u2018<strong>prioritized &amp; sequenced recommendations.<\/strong>\u2019 This&nbsp;<strong>prioritization&nbsp;<\/strong>&amp;<strong>&nbsp;sequencing&nbsp;<\/strong>involves manipulation of an ever-willing media, attempting to besiege &amp; beguile the vote banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The IMF just provided $15.6billion to the Ukraine for war. The $2.8bn of US IMF\u2019s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) to Sri Lanka, spread out over 4 years, is also for a kind of war. A discount war. It is to engineer, lubricate and inspire acceptance \u2013 of the \u2018restructuring\u2019 of the \u2018unsustainable debt\u2019 of $84bn. Hoping to slather more debt on, while buttering select fractions of the country to dispossess the majority of the people and their aspirations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rather than delving deeper into the roots of our discontent, there was news this week of a combined campaign \u2013 under the&nbsp;<strong>World Bank<\/strong>&nbsp;(via&nbsp;<strong>Transparency International<\/strong>) &amp; IMF\u2019s definition of \u2018corruption\u2019 \u2013 to hit 2 members of the USA\u2019s evolving manifestation of the latest&nbsp;<em>axis of evil<\/em>: Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Zimbabwe, as a citadel of African nationalism, and Sri Lanka as a mainspring of Sinhala Buddhism. The English news \u2013 has been hiding the massive US-led sanctions against a defiant Zimbabwe, after Africans began to take their land back, and \u2013 instead spreads calumny.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Meanwhile, \u2018the dreams of those who raised crosses and distributed buriyani and vatalapan at Galle Face have come true\u2019. The country has been graduated \u2018from a mixed economy to a fully fledged capitalist economy\u2019 (<strong><em>ee Economists<\/em><\/strong>, Dream).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018IMF&nbsp;<em>expects<\/em>&nbsp;the government to phase out import &amp; exchange restrictions\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We like the great \u2018expectations\u2019 part: \u2018The IMF expects\u2026\u2019 This entire year, it has been the government that has been \u2018expecting\u2019 an IMF package. So now, what does the IMF expect?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The IMF this week ordered the&nbsp;<strong>removal of import controls &amp; restrictions on Dollar flows<\/strong>, which then won adoring press releases, kiributh &amp; firecrackers at the UNP headquarters, and the usual suspects: Chambers of Commerce, SL-Japan Business Council,<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>etc. So why is IMF denying their influence in getting the government to keep postponing elections? Who is accusing the IMF of doing so?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Economists are now engulfing media platforms offering diagnoses and prognoses: \u2018Structural economic reforms don\u2019t always require government spending\u2019, claims Shanta Devarajan, a US agent involved in the IMF-ordered \u2018restructuring\u2019 game. Devarajan however betrays epistemological strategy when he laments the government\u2019s political inability to suppress cultivation of paddy. They wish to hobble further the&nbsp;<strong>Paddy Lands Act<\/strong>, which ordains that&nbsp;<strong>smallholders grow rice<\/strong>. The World Bank agenda (Devarajan is a WB stipendiary) prioritizes the pushing of&nbsp;<strong>cash crops<\/strong>&nbsp;and forcefeeding us&nbsp;<strong>subsidized US wheat&nbsp;<\/strong>(see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Agriculture<\/em><\/strong>, Attack on Rice Production &amp; Paddy Lands Act).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018<em>Progressive US$3billion SL program will protect poorest<\/em>\u2019 \u2013 IMF<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The IMF announcement on&nbsp;<strong>imports in &amp; Dollar flows out<\/strong>, was accompanied by the US envoy Santa Chung distributing \u201836,000 tons of&nbsp;<strong>Triple Super Phosphate\u2019, plus \u2018<\/strong><strong>fortified rice\u2019<\/strong>&nbsp;and \u2018<strong>fortified vegetable oil\u2019,<\/strong>&nbsp;plus \u2018<em>protein supplements using<\/em>&nbsp;<strong><em>yellow split peas &amp; Alaskan pink<\/em>&nbsp;<em>salmon\u2019<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;to 95,000 children!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Industrialization based on rhythms and processes of rice production is key to Sri Lanka\u2019s advance. So who are the US &amp; IMF fooling? And why is Envoy Chung in such a frenzy?&nbsp;<strong>She is also diverting from the activities of her whiter compatriots who are busy infiltrating key sectors of the country &amp; its economy. We cannot expect the IMF to shed its wrappings and tell us their \u2018<\/strong>prioritized &amp; sequenced\u2019 game plan to corrupt (sorry, privatize) public officials even further (under the guise of anti-corruption of course):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018In June 1954 journalist Rhoda de Silva (later deported from Sri Lanka) wrote in&nbsp;<em>Les Temps Moderne<\/em>, the journal started by Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre, about the extent of US \u2018penetration\u2019 in Sri Lanka effected under \u2018diverse forms of camouflage\u2019. De Silva wrote of Hollywood movies being filmed at strategic locations in Lanka; of the first&nbsp;<strong>Central Bank governor (John Exter) being a US citizen;<\/strong>&nbsp;and of other US nationals embedded in commercial, insurance and other companies here.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2018The US government was putting \u2018flagrant pressure\u2019 on the SL government to&nbsp;<strong>break the Rice-Rubber agreement with China<\/strong>.\u2019 She also pointed to \u2018certain of the US methods of intervention that are less apparent\u2019:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2018We wanted to discover to the slightest detail by precisely which methods the US controls the largest publishing house [Wijewardene-family-controlled Lakehouse] in Ceylon. We wanted to discover how they go about getting the US propagandists there to stir up so well the antagonism between the 2 different language groups\u2026 It would interest the Ceylonese people to learn for precisely what reasons the US ambassador and all his personnel frequent the Maldive Islands.\u2019 (<em>International McCarthyism: the Case of Rhoda Miller de Silva<\/em>, Judy Pasqualge,&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;2 May 2020)\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Having gone from the \u2018aragalaya\u2019 \u2013 demanding the government go to the IMF \u2013 the cry now is to how the new school principal, or viceroy, will have to impart timely discipline. How will it avoid the 16 previous IMF failures?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; And what is different now from 1950 when the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was first set up by the USA? The goal then as now, was and is, to prevent industrialization in the colonies. Industrialization has always had to be held back by any means, and enable the grab of natural resources:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018In the USA,&nbsp;<strong>consumption per head of the critical raw materials<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>is 20 times that in the underdeveloped countries\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Focus<\/em><\/strong>, SBD de Silva, Export-Oriented Industrialization &amp; the Free Trade Zone)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;<strong>Imperialist powers have intermittently imposed plans &amp; laws to ensure &amp; extend their monopoly over industrialization<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Indian-made iron was as good as England\u2019s, but a 19<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;century plan to buy local iron for a local project in India was shelved due to opposition by English manufacturers. So much for \u2018free trade\u2019.&nbsp;<em>The Economist<\/em>&nbsp;magazine in 1882 shuddered, accusing the Indian government of \u2018travelling beyond its province\u2026 and where are schemes of this kind to end?\u2019 (<strong><em>ee Random Notes<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; England\u2019s Iron Act of 1750 was just one of the English Trade &amp; Navigation acts to hinder settler colonial manufacturing that competed with England\u2019s home industry, and restricted the iron industry in their American colonies to the supply of raw metals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 200 years later, the USA in 1944 proposed the&nbsp;<strong>Morgenthau Plan<\/strong>&nbsp;to weaken Germany and Japan following World War II, eliminating its arms industry, and also removing and destroying other key industries, they deemed key to military power. This included the removal or destruction of industrial plants and equipment in that country (see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Industry<\/em><\/strong>, Morgenthau Plan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The US wars (cold &amp; hot) on the USSR &amp; China, forced the US to abandon the Morgenthau Plan. This plan was however exported to the rest of the world. To Africa, in particular, says&nbsp;<strong>Zimbabwean<\/strong>&nbsp;political analyst Rutendo Matinyarare. He examines the current sabotage of Eskom, South Africa\u2019s electricity company, pointing to the Anglo-American Corporation\u2019s destruction of Zimbabwe\u2019s Ziscosteel, the southern hemisphere\u2019s largest steel plant. Ziscosteel was sabotaged by the \u2018<strong>monopoly makers<\/strong>\u2019: companies like Anglo American, ISCO of South Africa, Lancashire Steel, and Voestalpine, which were manufacturing the machines that were used in smelting iron &amp; steel in Zimbabwe. These are acts of war to undermine Black people, to maintain the white monopoly over industrialization.&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;continues its investigation into the industrialization and electrification of South Africa. Reminding readers that, until 20 years ago, whites prevented 70% of South Africans from obtaining electricity\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Who would be the counterparts of Anglo American plc in Sri Lanka? Iron &amp; steel production has been all but abolished in Sri Lanka. (Some may object &amp; point to a few relatively isolated workshops; however, industrialization has to be examined in relation to transforming the economy.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Africa is just across the waters from us, and yet we hear little about their real story. We would think, sharing maybe even 3 colonial languages (Portuguese, Dutch &amp; English), we would know more. In fact, we know less. Our English Department is of no help. They are still following England\u2019s Heinemann\u2019s versions of African literature:&nbsp;<em>Things Fall Apart<\/em>, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We are supposed to follow the white fashions in culture and foreign policy, and thus must follow too, the white pandemonium. We see Somalia and Zimbabwe increasingly creeping into the synonym section under permanent dysfunction. And yet, there are major features we have shared, and not just after colonial plunder (see,&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Random Notes<\/em><\/strong>,<strong><em>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>Djibouti).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 A strange coincidence.&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;continues its focus on the enormous power that multinational companies (MNCs) wield in determining industrial policy, and overall economic policy. Last week,&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;began a series on Southern Africa\u2019s industrialization, delving into DJ \u2018Laxapana\u2019 Wimalasurendra\u2019s link to a Boer prisoner &amp; engineer, and Cecil Rhodes\u2019&nbsp;<strong>Victoria Falls<\/strong>&nbsp;fraud (<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;18 March 2023). This trail led us to Niagara Falls,&nbsp;<strong>Westingthouse<\/strong>&nbsp;and that famed&nbsp;<strong>1893 Chicago World Exhibition<\/strong>&nbsp;(that Anagarika Dharmapala went to), also recalling the undermining of Wimalasurendra\u2019s hydroelectric scheme by Pearson, Bousteads and the Shell Oil Co, etc. (also see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Building Blocks<\/em><\/strong>). This week\u2019s&nbsp;<em><strong>ee<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/em>also looks at the MNCs behind the sabotage of industrialization in Africa: One in particular,&nbsp;<strong>Anglo American plc<\/strong>&nbsp;has enormous power in Africa, and recalls the power of MNCs such as&nbsp;<strong>Unilever plc<\/strong>&nbsp;in Sri Lanka. These multinational companies run the politicians and the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Two or 3 news items on Africa struck&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>\u2018s eye this week. Whenever Africa appears in the English newspapers in Sri Lanka, coverage strangely resembles the ways in which&nbsp;<strong>Sinhala villagers<\/strong>&nbsp;are represented. It\u2019s usually caricature. And true to form there was this week\u2019s tabloid-style sensationalism about: \u2018A Zimbabwe preacher with links to a controversial Sri Lankan \u2018prophet\u2019\u2026accused of gold-smuggling\u2019. This is from \u2018an undercover operation by&nbsp;<em>Al Jazeera<\/em>\u2019s Investigative Unit (I-Unit), which is targeting Zimbabwe\u2019s President and his family\u2019. \u2018<strong>Al Jazeera reporters, posing as Chinese nationals<\/strong>&nbsp;who were looking to launder large sums of money, were offered several ways to remove all stains of corruption from their dirty cash.\u2019 The main&nbsp;<em>Al-J<\/em>&nbsp;informant is \u2018Karen Greenaway, a former&nbsp;<strong>US FBI investigator<\/strong>&nbsp;who tracks international money laundering schemes.\u2019 Apparently, the US and EU sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe \u2018make it difficult for the government to export gold because of the additional scrutiny on officials in power\u2019. (see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Sovereignty<\/em><\/strong>, Zimbabwe preacher)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So why are we being told about this issue? On the face of it: the story splashes the photograph of Mahinda Rajapakse, with the Zim preacher (circled in red). Also, there is the admirable US (IMF) zeal to root out \u2018corruption\u2019. This&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<strong><em>Focus<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;examines the differences between how sanctions are applied to Black countries and white-ruled countries, and, in the end, what real corruption and criminality is all about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Rhodesia was a white English settler state,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>set up by the British South Africa Company (BSAC),<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>and imposed over and stolen from the people of&nbsp;<strong>MaDzimbabwe&nbsp;<\/strong>since at least 1890<strong>.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Under siege, within &amp; without, the white settlers proclaimed &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>a&nbsp;<strong>Unilateral Declaration of Independence&nbsp;<\/strong>from England in 1965<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>over division and investment of profits.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>White Rhodesia was then subject to UN-led sanctions.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>This essay below divulges how these sanctions were \u2018<strong>cleverly\u2019 undermined<\/strong>&nbsp;by white governments, led by the USA, and provides insights into the undermining of countries\u2019 economies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>After the African war of liberation there was suspended,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>the English as usual reneged on their promises,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>and when the country\u2019s African leadership started to reclaim the land,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>the English turned Zimbabwe into a synonym for \u2018failed state\u2019,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>and its leadership, particularly Robert Mugabe as synonym for \u2018Black dictator\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>These stories as with all widely disseminated English stories turn out to be false as usual.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em>The other Africa-related item was the Wijeya Group&nbsp;<strong>Daily&nbsp;<em>FT<\/em><\/strong>\u2019s extended interview with one \u2018consultant\u2019 Ronnie Peiris, who is set to hold forth on 24 April in Colombo on \u2018Integrated Performance Management\u2019 needed to achieve at least 75% of the IMF\u2019s plans. His bio: \u2018Group Finance Director,&nbsp;<strong>John Keells<\/strong>&nbsp;Holdings, Managing Director (before the Finance Director),&nbsp;<strong>Anglo American Corporation<\/strong>&nbsp;(Central Africa), Planning Manager at&nbsp;<strong>Lever Brothers<\/strong>&nbsp;(Ceylon), Board Member in large corporations\u2019. How\u2019s that!?&nbsp;<strong>Anglo-American, Unilever &amp; Keells!&nbsp;<\/strong><em>Hallelujah!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Not sure if this is the same Ronnie Peiris, the \u2018collector\u2019 and \u2018bagman\u2019 for Chandrika Bandaranaike, and of Water\u2019s Edge fame. But Peiris is now laying down the latest&nbsp;<strong>multinational capitalist gospel truth of tinsel-thin social responsibility, diversity, inclusiveness &amp; equality (<em>DIE!<\/em>) aka Neo-Woke<\/strong>&nbsp;(weaponized astro-turf posing as grassroots), and singing from the MNC choir sheet about \u2018sharing\u2019 (no mention of shareholders) and of \u2018stakeholders\u2019, including pliant unions \u2013 \u2018through a combination of top-down and bottom-up approaches\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The hymn Peiris is singing goes: \u2018IMF\u2019s got you by the you-know-what but that\u2019s-not-enough\u2026\u2019 This current hymn amends the pure keenness of the earlier hymn, which was \u2018Go to the IMF, you Stupid.\u2019 There\u2019s also other hymns sung by this \u2018stupid\u2019 choir: \u2018<em>Show us Everything O Naked Lord<\/em>\u2019 &amp; \u2018<em>Blessed are the Poor<\/em>\u2019. This is for the IMF to act a little more transparent and be kind to the \u2018poor\u2019, which it uses as a \u2018surplus\u2019 army to discipline the power of the working class (see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Workers<\/em><\/strong>, Integrated Performance Management).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Last&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;pointed to the farce of India\u2019s Mahindra claiming \u2018assembly\u2019 as manufacture. Also noting the so-called manufacture of Japan\u2019s Senaro motorcycles, and their adoption as the mode of travel by the SL President\u2019s pettier officials. This week we are told: \u2018Sri Lanka\u2019s Senaro Motors to export locally assembled motorbikes to Kenya\u2019. So what makes \u2018Senaro Motor Corporation, a motorcycle manufacturing company in Sri Lanka\u2019?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; \u2018Around a third of the spare parts used in the motorbikes are manufactured in the firm\u2019s assembly factory in Yakkala, a suburb of capital Colombo\u2019. Which parts we are not told. Senaro \u2018is able to&nbsp;<strong>import raw materials for spare parts<\/strong>&nbsp;as it has a special certification from the Ministry of Industries\u2026 When the bikes are exported, they will be labeled as&nbsp;<em>Made in Sri Lanka&nbsp;<\/em>and that is a proud moment for us!\u2019 Proud, indeed! Sri Lanka\u2019s good name (at least, among Africans) is being used by Japanese MNCs as a means to avoid export quotas\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018The continuing foreign exchange crisis is broadly attributed to flawed policies,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>such as tax cuts, debt monetization, banning fertilizer &amp; agrochemical imports,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>real appreciation of the exchange rate, etc. However, the issues at hand can be also<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>characterized as a liquidity trap in the foreign exchange market,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>enforced by the economic structure and exploitative market structure,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>in the import &amp; export sector of the economy, in the long run.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(see last&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>, All praise for Lanka\u2019s saviours!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Which brings us back to the slobbering silence of the mutton-eaters: earlier this month (<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;04 March 2023) we wondered about the hush hush of the League of Multinational Corporations (LMNC) in Sri Lanka, formed in 2018 by 7 MNCs: Unilever, Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC, ie, British American Tobacco), Baur &amp; Co, Heineken, HSBC, Indian Oil Co, and Mastercard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; These powerful MNCs, with war chests bigger than most countries\u2019 budgets, demanded of Sri Lanka: \u2018Everything needs to be fixed in the context of international standards, in terms of human rights &amp; labor laws too.\u2019 And \u2018<em>fixing<\/em>\u2019, as in fraud, is what they do best!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So how does the IMF \u2018agreement\u2019 this week, fulfil their demands? Unilever plc is Sri Lanka\u2019s Anglo American plc. Let\u2019s nominate Unilever as the mahamolakaru of Sri Lanka, behind the long-term terrorism perpetrated on the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022&nbsp;<strong>Anglo American<\/strong>&nbsp;plc has its origins in the&nbsp;<strong>British South Africa Co<\/strong>&nbsp;(BSAC) of Cecil Rhodes. Settler states were founded by companies led by genocidaires, called all kinds of fancy names \u2013 privateer, buccaneer, soldier of fortune \u2013 romanticized by the arts. The Virginia Company (US) of De La Warre. The Hudson Bay Co (Canada). The West India Company (Caribbean)\u2019s Henry Morgan. The East India Company (England) of Robert Clive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Nowadays, these settler units are considered creatures of the oil and mining conglomerates run by an Anglo-American Rothschild-Rockefeller cabal: BHP (Australia), Power Corporation (Canada), Anglo-American (South Africa). In Sri Lanka, Lipton\u2019s Tea Garden has been transformed into Unilever\u2019s Fair&amp;Lovely\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; With all its make-up \u2013 one of the largest chemical importers into the country \u2013 Unilever slinks in the shadows of media-smoke &amp; mirrors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Russia\u2019s brave decision to confront NATO, to \u2018denazify\u2019 and disarm the US arms industry\u2019s proxies in the Ukraine, will eventually require the formation of a broader anti-imperialist alliance, which this week\u2019s historic visit by China\u2019s leader Xi Jinping surely signifies.
