This is just the Portuguese word for &#8216;lake&#8217;. They did not give it a special name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the lakes throughout Sri Lanka have special names. Such as, &#8216;Nuwara Weva&#8217;, Tisa Weva, Yoda Weva, MInneriya Weva, Parakrama Samudraya etc. Isn&#8217;t it time that the lake in Colombo is also named appropriately to remove its Portuguese name?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s invite suggestions from the public.
