Additionally, detention orders were secured against 119 suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The drugs impounded during the special island-wide operations include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 692g of heroin<br>\u2022 393g of methamphetamine (\u2018Ice\u2019)<br>\u2022 42.1kg of Cannabis<br>\u2022 20,615 narcotic pills&nbsp;<br>\u2022 235,680 Cannabis plants<br>\u2022 534g of Hash<br>\u2022 11kg of \u2018Mawa\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the special raids were kicked off under the operation \u2018Yukthiya\u2019 on December 17, the security forces personnel have made more than 11,500 arrests and seized large consignments of narcotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the Illegal Assets and Properties Investigation Division of the police have confiscated assets worth millions of rupees belonging to notorious criminal figures and drug traffickers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Courtesy Adaderana In continuation of the special island-wide operation \u2018Yukthiya\u2019 (Justice) to crack down on narcotics, Sri Lankan security forces have arrested scores of&nbsp;more suspects in a 24-hour mission ending at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (Dec.23).
