We can now pay in dollars &amp; rupees for front-row seats to&nbsp;<strong>Invasion No. 18<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 with our hands chained behind our backs. An&nbsp;<strong>Indo-US United War Supply Centre&nbsp;<\/strong>is to be set up in Gokanna (aka Cheena Varaaya aka Trincomalee), to prepare for Sri Lanka\u2019s vassalage as&nbsp;<strong>India\u2019s 29<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;state<\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>Tamil Eelam aka Tamilnadu South<\/strong>&nbsp;sliced out as&nbsp;<strong>India\u2019s 30<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;satrapy<\/strong>. To achieve all this,&nbsp;<strong>6 international agendas<\/strong>&nbsp;are being imposed simultaneously, and include the management of chaos (a seeming oxymoron) to further weaken Sinhala Buddhist culture, and to subdue the economy under a so-called IMF-mudalali\u2019s \u2018free market\u2019, i.e., domination by US multinational corporations (MNCs) &amp; banks. (see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Focus<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SL President\u2019s \u2018bombshell\u2019 of joining in the USA\u2019s threat to block the Red Sea, appears as yet another media-spun diversion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>With regard to attempts by Sri Lanka to send ships to the Red Sea, Wickremesinghe said Sri Lanka did not have the capacity to send a ship by itself: \u2018The Navy indicated if they were to go, they would like to go&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>with some cover<\/em><\/strong><em>. However, we do not want any&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>Israeli participation<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;in this&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>freedom of navigation operation<\/em><\/strong><em>. We will support&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>whatever measures are taken by the Arab world<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;to mitigate the problems in the&nbsp;<\/em><strong><em>Middle East<\/em><\/strong><em>.\u2019<\/em>&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Sovereignty<\/em><\/strong>, President tells Arab envoys Lanka wants immediate ceasefire in Gaza<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps this media fog was to divert from Parliament this week, taking advantage of foggy gregorian new-year hangovers, to pass (without the usual media hip-hip hurrahs &amp; saturated repetition) several bills, including a \u2018Recognition &amp; Enforcement of International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation Bill\u2019. This Bill will \u2018ratify the Singapore Convention on Mediation\u2019, which allows \u2018international mediated settlement agreements\u2019 (with MNCs?) to be&nbsp;<strong>enforced across national borders<\/strong>, instead of relying on&nbsp;<strong>local courts<\/strong>&nbsp;to enforce \u2018contracts.\u2019 Will US BlackRock send in private militia Blackwater (now rebranded Academi!) to demand instant dividends for their investments,&nbsp;<em>or else?<\/em>&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;spent much of December 2023 examining the history of the World Bank\u2019s International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (<strong>ICSID<\/strong>). This Singapore Convention is apparently an indispensable cat\u2019s paw for ICSID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 The rule of the \u2018<strong>Panchikavatte Mafia<\/strong>\u2019 due to the privatization of transport here, has been a disaster, notes the&nbsp;<strong>Communist Party of Sri Lanka<\/strong>\u2018s alternate program. As \u2018the bourgeoisie depends on imports for its wealth\u2019, the promotion of private vehicles has led to bloody mayhem (5 killed, many more maimed, per day) on the roads. This Panchikavatte Mafia (with their iconic &amp; ironic shop signs: \u2018<em>Silencers &amp; Body Parts<\/em>\u2019) are actually quarterbacked by the USA\u2019s World Bank, and its yipping poodles India &amp; Japan, who with their hand-me-down cars and always-breakdown 3wheelers (not a single part yet made here) strangle our road transport. Alongside the undermining of local&nbsp;<strong>energy sources<\/strong>&nbsp;(see the many&nbsp;<strong><em>ee<\/em><\/strong>s on what happened to DJ \u2018Laxapana\u2019 Wimalasurendra, &amp; the Mannar Basin), the sabotage of our 1960s nationalization to challenge the petroleum mafia, has been led by England &amp; the US, whose main corporation Exxon, owned by the Rockefellers, sets primary US foreign policy (in Panchikavatte as in Palestine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 It is no coincidence that the&nbsp;<strong>Colombo Stock Exchange<\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>CSE<\/strong>,&nbsp;<em>rigged<\/em>, according to the President himself) surged bullish last week. Media says this was due to the arrival of&nbsp;<strong>Japan\u2019s (warmongering) finance minister Shun\u2019ichi Suzuki<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>&amp; yet another IMF team<\/strong>. (see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Finance<\/em><\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So, this scammy CSE got excited about Shun\u2019ichi Suzuki\u2019s visit from US-occupied Japan. After all, he is also a governor of the US-controlled IMF, European Bank for Reconstruction &amp; Development (EBRD),&nbsp;<em>and<\/em>&nbsp;Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). A member of the warmongering Nippon Kaigi, and the Shik\u014dkai faction of Japan\u2019s cutely called Liberal Democratic Party (LDP),&nbsp;<strong>Suzuki denies war crimes<\/strong>&nbsp;against other Asian countries (then again, so do their white sponsors), and not just those Chinese &amp; Korean women Japan forced during WWII into prostitution. Other Nippon Kaigi members include prime ministers Fumio Kishida, Tar\u014d As\u014d, Shinz\u014d Abe, &amp; Yoshihide Suga. So, he\u2019s a fighting man keeping good company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The media forgot to include that the CSE excitement was also bolstered by the synchronized visits of another agent of the&nbsp;<strong>Rockefellers<\/strong>&nbsp;(who fund the purportedly Sri Lankan Office for National Unity &amp; Reconciliation \u2013 ONUR, which suddenly swung to life again), and&nbsp;<strong>England\u2019s&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Vice Admiral<\/strong>&nbsp;Tim Laurence (sans his battleships) &amp; his spouse Anglo-German&nbsp;<strong>Princess Anne<\/strong>&nbsp;(who some thought was married to a horse). Hanover Anne sans horse also visited MAS Holdings \u2013 which reminds of the profits English corporations squeeze from supplying the many imported inputs, which this garment fraud depends on. The Hun Princess, while visiting English war graves in Jawatte, forgot to visit the remains of earlier English imperialist invaders, who lie decaying and unmarked midst Borella Kanatte\u2019s Anglican burial quarters (they too wish to forget 1818, 1848, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018The&nbsp;<strong>International Monetary &amp; Financial Committee<\/strong>, which oversees the IMF,&nbsp;<em>could not agree, by consensus, on the usual end-of-meeting ministerial communiqu\u00e9 for \u2018geopolitical\u2019 reasons<\/em>. The&nbsp;<strong>Development Committee<\/strong>, which governs the World Bank Group, fared little better\u2019. \u2013 see&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Focus<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US has imposed an \u2018independent\u2019 new Central Bank Act in Sri Lanka, supposedly to control \u2018irresponsible\u2019 money printing, but actually to ensure that our money is diverted into what they prioritize &amp; to protect private money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Here then is why the English Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC)\u2019s MP Harsha de Silva rather hysterically responded to the JVP\u2019s assertion that the (ISB) international sovereign bondholders know the risks of investing in debt, and proudly take such risks (they\u2019re supposed to be capitalists after all) and have in fact already been paid over and over again. This is not just a JVP position. Anybody who can count, knows there is no way we can escape this debt bondage without telling them to go to hell &amp; ensuring we invest in modern industrialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; It turns out CTC Harsha de Silva\u2019s masters at the World Bank want public funds to be used&nbsp;<strong>to \u2018de-risk\u2019 or otherwise subsidize commercial finance, ostensibly to serve public policy priorities<\/strong>. This&nbsp;<strong><em>ee Focus<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 \u2018World Bank Enables Private Capture of Profits, Public Resources\u2019 \u2013 looks at how the recent Bretton Woods institutions\u2019 annual meetings in Morocco in October 2023 (with Sri Lanka civil society yipping \u2018<em>Yeah, Yeah, Yeah\u2019<\/em>), \u2018set the developing world even further back\u2019, by failing to reform the USA\u2019s control over these supranational bodies, as well as by providing no means to relieve the many severely \u2018debt-distressed\u2019 countries, not just Sri Lanka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 A (Rockefeller-funded) \u2018alternative\u2019 Sinhala weekly tabloid once reported: a leading&nbsp;<strong>MP<\/strong>, who they disparaged as a \u2018nationalist\u2019, was a&nbsp;<strong>front for imports from 89 corporations<\/strong>&nbsp;based in (US-occupied) Korea. (An exception perhaps \u2013 that tradition of investigative journalism seems to have gone&nbsp;<em>sotto-sotto<\/em>). Of course, our colonized media can never admit how they too are a front for foreign MNCs, with Unilever &amp; Rockefeller\u2019s Exxon leading the growling pack. And it\u2019s not just media, their economists, too. We can\u2019t be that surprised therefore that 2 \u2018top\u2019 economists &amp; columnists, ex-Central Bank deputy WA Wijewardena &amp; University of Colombo Prof S Abeyratne both inserted into articles \u2013 one on Oman, the other on chocolate \u2013 an ad for Unilever\u2019s demand that Sri Lanka become a \u2018<strong><em>tea hub<\/em><\/strong>\u2019.
